How do you understand what you can't physically examine, the mind and consciousness is hard to understand because it's the source of even our own self awareness.

You literally don't know a shit about evolution, macro evolution happens gradually, takes thousands or millions of years,modern man, the homo sapien didn't just sprout out of the ground, nature selection made it possible for modern man to evolve and adapt gradually, not just modern man every single organisms evolved to make a better stronger species of its own or they go extinct that's nature for you.
So asking me such a dumb question shows how much little you know about the topic of evolution.
Evolution is staring you in the eye whenever you see other humans from other climates that they adapted to but yet you don't see it because you're so ignorant of the topic

you can't have micro evolution without macro evolution, maybe you still haven't gotten the idea, take a deeper look at the picture so u can understand, how both works.

Macro evolution between species like human and Chimpanzees, shares identical genetics,etc Gorilla, Human,Bonobo etc similar genetics but different species.

Chimpanzees and humans belong to the same family tree(Hominoidea),we know that by comparing genetic values between the 2 species, if you believe in DNA when they say the child is yours then you would be dumb if you argue against we being genetically closer to the Family tree of the Hominodea family.
Also almost all animal species have a family tree like us too, the Felidea family(Felines like Jaguar, Tiger, Lion etc), same with (Canidae) Dog Family tree.
So in a simple way to put it is that we share a common ancestor with Chimpanzees that's why we are similar to them than any other animal species.
It's just basic biology.
You can always unlearn anything you want to, you just need to understand that Evolution has superior argument than creation because Evolution has so many evidences that supports its theories.
