Hi guys, i need advice on owning a Golf 6 GTI in Nigeria, Abuja to be precise. This will be my first German car, i own a 2014 Corolla (trouble free), i have always wanted a GTi and i am currently eying a 2012 Autobahn with about 56miles. i know they need more TLC than Toyotas, i have no problems with maintenance but just want to know how it is owning one here, what problems and required maintenance, are original parts readily available and mechanics.... The whole story. Thanks

PS: how is the 2.5l compared to the GTI?

Yes, they require more TLC than Toyotas.
Parts are available. However, at least in Lagos, you cannot easily find parts without going to Itire.
Your mechanic must have a bi-directional scanner. Scan first before they start anything. Electrical issues are frequent with VW's, don't be like me and allow Kazeem to bypass. It just leads to headache further down.

Please drive safely, VW's speeds can be intoxicating.
