MRTA7:Yeah the age is an issue especially with the unwritten INEOS rule. But he is turning 29 not 33. We are 1 or 2 windows away from competing so a 28-29yr old is not as bad an idea as a few years ago when we were far off. Anyway it does not have to be him. In a period where Liverpool win the league and followed it with a 400m pound window if we are not ready to spend 200m plus on that midfield then we are not ready. |

afrodoc:Fernandes and Ederson look the realistic options for Man United. I think Bruno G will be open if there's an interest there. he no longer has time to see out that Newcastle 'project'. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 11:25pm On May 28 |
Youngzero2:The worry I have with Baleba is not his quality but his mentality. If he intentionally downed tools at the start of the season because he was not able to join us that is a red flag. If he truly lost form and focus because he was not able to join us that is a red flag. Those red flags remain even if his true level is 24-25 and this 25-26 season was just a blip. |

Seems we will have a lot of cash to spend this window. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by MRTA7: 1:14pm On May 29 |
This could be our most important window since SAF left. We really need to get it right. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by adebayo201: 2:56pm On May 29 |
MRTA7:Like... If we really want to get a cup at least, this is our moment and we just need the right personnel it. Also, we will need to avoid unnecessary injury (though sometimes, it's not planned for). All hands on deck with no mesmerizing, we're going places. I'm just optimistic about it. |

Youngzero2:Buying Baleba would v been our greatest mistake. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 10:02pm On May 29 |
engrelvis:Hope we won’t be saying the same thing about Anderson a year from now. I’m always cautious about paying hefty sums for players who haven’t replicated the same level of performance for years. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:36am On May 30 |
Leyqute:I think Fernandes is at the point where Anderson was about 2 years ago. If we can’t afford Anderson we might get something close to him with Fernandes. The 3rd CM we get will then depend on how the club profiles Ederson, M Fernandes, and Mainoo. Do we add a pure defensive guy like Tchouameni or do we add another all-rounder like Tonali, Baleba etc. The most important question though is how much money does the club have to spend. INEOS so far have been better at controlling the narrative on this compared to the Glazers. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 6:50am On May 30 |
Leyqute:l dnt think so( referring to Beleba).Just little pressure he has gone back to default. He doesn't even future regularly for Brighton. Hefty money or not nobody can really predict outcomes when buying a player or hiring a coach. |

Rashford better start hawking himself like gala after Barcelona signed Gordon |

Trashford in the mud , mumu was throwing side dig at United yet could not secure a measly €30m permanent deal with Barcelona. He had better perform at the world cup for his own sake, cos na stockpole United go loan him to next season if the club does not get a good offer for him... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 10:42am On May 30 |
TrebleChamp:In what universe is this a win for United when he has already achieved his aim of going to the world cup? He can decide to stay at united and earn 300k weekly while doing nothing and we miss out on getting any fee. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 10:46am On May 30 |
Leyqute:Anderson is currently better than Rice when he was at West ham. He's the one we should be targeting but city he's his first choice so we should move on. Fernandes, Ederson, Maino and maybe Tonali will be a good selection for two spots next season. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 10:48am On May 30 |
Youngzero2:For less than the quoted sum last season no problem. Glad he reduced his value can't see Brighton asking for more than €60m now. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 10:52am On May 30 |
Leyqute:Nobody can truly predict whether a new signing will succeed or not, see Mancity and Grealish. But United should not rush into signing players because they played well last season, even Fergie got it wrong with f signing like Pobosky, Veron, Kleberson and Djemba Djemba etc because of their performance at major tournaments. Fernandes of Westham looks like a solid one, haven't real watch Tonali that much but i hear he is a very good DM too. My fav DM Bruno G sadly may be too old for the Ineos project, but at 29 he can still play a major role and i would be happy if we sign him.. |

spillo1:He cannot decide not to play football, he will go on loan whether he like it or not... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 10:58am On May 30 |
spillo1:£60m for Baleba is way overprice, £40m is fare value for any club that want him considering he isn't as good as we thought. United should stay away |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Seunpapa65: 11:38am On May 30 |
I think we should go for Ibrahim konate he is a free player and EPL proven |

Slot sacked I doubt these managers genuinely feel bad when these things happen. They must be mentally conditioned for moments like this; it’s part of the role. Las las, a coach is only as good as his last results. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by FortCavazosKnox: 1:21pm On May 30 |
Liverpool sacked Slot, only Arsenal should be stopping Manchester United from lifting the EPL next season |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 1:27pm On May 30 |
spillo1:That Ederson is setting off alarm bells in my head. He looks like a Fred pro max. Are you sure Anderson is as good as Rice was before he left West Ham? Seems like this is his breakthrough season. 2 years ago, he was a bit part player at Newcastle. Last season was his first full season and nobody seemed to notice if he was good or not. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 1:29pm On May 30 |
TrebleChamp:The only issue I have with Fernandes is his physicality. A midfield trio of Mainoo, Bruno and Fernandes isn’t physical enough for the EPL. Anderson would elevate our physical levels but I’m worried about his consistency and price tag. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:36pm On May 30 |
Leyqute:The 3rd person we get should be very physical. In my mind our starting CM should be one out of Mainoo or M. Fernandes and another more physical CDM. Fernandes and Mainoo should be competing for the No 8 position and we get a no 6. This makes the Ederson move a bad one. I watched another video of Ederson today and even his highlights were worrying. I sincerely hope I am wrong. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 1:41pm On May 30 |
Liverpool sacking Slot is actually bad news for us. With all the negativity and unhappy players in the dressing room the team was primed to implode next season with Slot in charge. Now they might get a good manager who could get Isak, Wirtz, etc firing. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 2:06pm On May 30 |
afrodoc:Even worse, Iraola is the leading candidate to replace him, and he fits their heavy metal football style. The silver lining is their weakening midfield, their leaky defense (VVD is not as good as he was and they’re losing Konate) and their non existent right wing. They’re stacked in attack with Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz but I’m praying that they get things wrong and drop further next season. They’re kuku playing in Europe. If Chelsea and Alonso get their recruitment right, wahala fit happen. |

Wayne Rooney interviews Michael Carrick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCF3D8I-fhI?si=dLJCPdjh1VbdysX1 So good to see two legends of the club with mutual respect and admiration for each other. Carrick comes across as a thinking cerebral coach in this interview and it is great to see him saying that the least expectation of a Manchester United manager every season is to win the league or the Champions league. |
