Good afternoon to our gurus and everyone else that has been contributing positively to this thread. Please, I need your opinion regarding this section of the visitor visa application:“ how much are you personally spending?“ I’m fully sponsoring my mother to come to the UK. my partner and I have already stated that we are budgeting £2500 for the visit. She’s retired with a pension of N120,000/m, and we also indicated regular monthly support from children of 210,000. On the application draft and cover letter, I’ve already stated, she can pay for her local itinerary (from her town to Lagos Airport) with a budget of 110,000. I have read some info regarding that part of this thread, but the responses were quite unclear. Please if you could direct us accordingly for a successful application. Thank you please @giselle237@Cashmadam@justwise and other persons with experience and knowledge of this part
Reduce the budget to 1,200 or thereabout. Trip should be between 10 days to two weeks. Good luck!

Hello wise ones,
Is it possible to sponsor my stay home wife 100% Uk visit visa?
What documents you guys think I should include?
Cash madam, just wise etc. Your experience and advice will be appreciated.
Yes you can. Provide your marriage certificate and evidence of your financial status. You need to demonstrate that she has a reason to come back to Nigeria after her visit. You know per personal circumstances better so provide information and documents that will help her case. Let us know if you need specific clarifications.

- Please add it. It might help your case to show that you have an option to go to Canada so why would you want to stay in the UK?
Thanks a lot for your quick response . I also wanted to add that I will be the one handling my flight and accommodation(staying in a hotel ) so I hope it’s not an issue I am only putting 1500 pounds as it seems a bit small for everything .
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by VisaZest: 3:53pm On May 25
Hi,

1. There are several questions on the form asking about your savings, your monthly earnings, your monthly expenses, any other income. Each financial statement you add to your application supports your answers to these questions and this determines which statements to include. I said that to say- your mutual funds show your disposable income and should be included. In assessing your financial situation- how you move from salary to savings to disposable income must be coherent to the visa officer not merely having huge amounts in your statements.
2. You need an estimate based on your flights, accommodation, tours/activities, transportation and daily feeding. The money you plan to spend will be based on this estimate. It's okay to spend from your savings but take care not to have an estimate that's several times above your monthly salary.
3. Countries share immigration records plus when you scan your passport, they'll see the Canadian visa. In my opinion, having a Canadian immigration visa is a positive, however, this impacts on you proving ties to Nigeria (as your home country since your "home country" is changing).

All the best with your application!

Hello Gurus,

Trust you are all having a good day, Wanted to seek your advice to apply for visitors visa to the uk. I plan to travel in August for two weeks

I did my undergrad and masters in the uk but haven’t been back since I left in 2015 after graduation , I have a valid US visa which i haven’t used yet and a valid Canada immigration visa (this is recent so haven’t relocated yet ) . Combined monthly salary of 1m from 2 Jobs , I save about 650k monthly and I have some savings of about 11k usd In a domicillary account and about 6.5mil In mutual funds and some in stocks ..my company also gives leave allowance of 1.3mil yearly when you are going on leave. Kindly assist with my questions below :

1) I don’t save my money in the account my company pays me, I move it to my mutual funds account so do I need to print the statement of the mutual funds? or just the statement of the domiciliary account and my payslip is enough

2) How much is safe for me to put as money I plan to spend, does my monthly salary , leave allowance and savings suffice ?

3) Do you suggest I attach my Canada immigrant visa so they know I have no plans of remaining there or its not necessary

1,500 is okay. Just ensure your stay does not exceed 2 weeks. Perharps 7 to 10 days to ensure the funds look reasonable.

Hi everyone, I would appreciate some advice. I am employed as a sales executive earning between £900–£1,000 per month. I would like to travel to the UK to visit my uncle for 2 weeks. I am married and have a 2-year-old daughter.

I will be travelling with my first cousin, who is employed, married, and has two children. He has travelled to the UK and other countries many times before. He would like to sponsor our flight tickets, while my uncle in the UK will provide accommodation and food. I will cover my personal shopping and pocket money expenses.

Would it be advisable for my cousin to sponsor the flight tickets, or could this negatively affect my visa application? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by VisaZest: 1:40pm On May 29
Hi,

As a working professional, you should ideally sponsor yourself- this shows you can afford a leisurely trip without a strain on your finances. While I see no problem in your uncle offering accommodation, your cousin paying for your flights raises questions the question- why?

If you have savings that can support your estimated budget, I would recommend you present yourself as the sponsor. When you get your visa, your cousin can then pay for the flights.

All the best with your application!

You are not listening.
The UK is very hostile at this moment. The refusals are alot for 3rd world countries now because the numbers show people are not going back after visiting.
If your circumstances have things to be corrected, do that before applying especially if you have ZERO travel history and you are male and young.
Take a step back. If you don’t visit your friend this month or next month, nothing will change, neither will you die or something . Work on your profile.
If it means reducing your expenses over the next two months to 100k so your disposable income is better looking on your application form, then do that. Good luck
Thank for your honest feedback. I really appreciate it. Please as earelier adviced; I'll be able to double the initail amount stated. Also, if I may ask; I have a friend that can provide accomodation can I factor that in my application?I hope it's not a RED FLAG and I can factor that in.

patiently waiting for your feedback.

Thank You.

Good day everyone. Pls I need advise and guidance. My wife would be applying for a UK visiting visa some time in Nov/Dec to write OSCE nursing exam. I will be the one paying for the exam fee, flight and visa fees. However her friend in the UK will be taking care of her stay and upkeep while she is there. She has agreed to provide all the supporting doc needed. My wife doesn't work currently. I currently work in a reputable organisation and my hr also gives letter of introduction to embassy. Pls what documents would I need to show as her sponsor when she is applying and how much approximately should I have in my acc. My current take home salary is around ₦1.2m but I rarely keep funds in my salary acc. Most funds are moved to my mutual funds acc. Pls I will like to know if I can use my investment acc in place of my personal acc. Also getting a letter from my organisation will it also help in boosting her chances of getting the visa. Thanks in anticipation.

Guys please I have a question , does the pay slips in Nigeria include PAYE tax deduction? And for people who have been applying for uk visit visa did you had to include employee tax deduction?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Younglami: 1:06am On Jun 01
Taal17:
In my opinion you don't need a sponsor.
You are going for the purpose of an exam as a working adult so why would someone sponsor you.

The 2 million you put covers the cost of an Air bnb right? If there is someone you can stay with such that it covers accommodation then in that way they cover accommodation costs. You can indicate that in the other information box in the form and in any other relevant area. So long as the person provides evidence of that .
This would reduce your spend a bit.

You would need details of the exam, date and that you have paid as well to include on the application
I have someone i can stay with and is willing to drop all necessary documents. Do i need to proof the relationship if he is just accommodating me for the 5 days? Every other expenses will be on me

She can not be unemployed and going to write an exam.
They’ll deny that she won’t leave the UK.
She will be denied.

If you have a payslip then you would know the answer to this. Your payslip is your payslip. Use whatever is on it.

Yes proof of relationship is essential especially if you have no travel history and you have weak ties.
They expect you know the person you claim to be visiting. There is nothing like just accommodating. If the individual decides not to pick your calls, does that mean you would now recourse to public funds as you would have no accommodation? Home office does not want that.

I still have enough for accommodation. It's just to bring down the travel expenditure as Taal advised. If the person is just a friend what can be used to prove that?

If you can prove the relationship and the said host is able to provide their own end of documents a host should provide then yes. Otherwise paid accommodation is your best bet.

Just list the person place as where you will be staying. The form does ask where you will stay.
You'd need proof of the persons right to stay in the UK.

Since this person is not a relative I'm not sure of what would prove relationship.

What is the step-by-step process for a Nigerian traveling to the UK for the first time using the digital e-Visa system, and what exactly should one expect when navigating MMIA in Lagos from check-in to departure? Are there particular documents I should have with me aside from my passport and flight tickets?

I will appreciate if anyone that has used the new e-visa can respond.

You’ll need a printout of the eVisa page showing your photo and details.

For my wife, we went with her share code and passport. We didn’t have that page printed out, so they asked us to log in to her UKVI account and show them the information there.

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the excellent work that’s been done here and the valuable support offered by different people on this thread.

I want to seek advice about my uncle’s plan visit the UK with his family this year. He’s self employed and has two businesses generating profit in the country. His first company currently employs about 20 people and operates across West Africa. The second one has about 3 full time employees.

He plans to visit the UK with his wife and two kids later this Christmas period. Wife is employed and kids are enrolled in school here in Naija.

He intend to use me and my family as the family he wants to visit in UK.

I want to ask what type of documents will suffice for him and his family. Can he use evidence of income generated from business account as proof of funds or it will have to be from his personal accounts?

Will I also need to show pictures of us together even though I’m not adding anything to their trip?

He also has properties which can be used as ties to home country.

I’d appreciate responses to this. Thank you so much.

Good afternoon Gurus. My basic salary is 1,500,000 per month. In addition, I receive monthly commissions and allowances, so my net salary varies from month to month. Based on my recent payslips, my net salary was 1,740,600 in March, 1,870,000 in April, and 1,800,500 in May.

Please can someone assist me to the section where asking how much is my net pay?
How much should I put it there?

Thanks
