A scorpion needed to cross a wide river but couldn’t swim. She saw a frog on the bank and asked:

“Frog, please carry me across on your back.”

The frog laughed bitterly. “No way. I know how you scorpions behave. You’ll sting me halfway and I’ll die.”

The scorpion smiled sweetly. “Why would I do that? I’m not like every other scorpion. I promise I won’t sting you. Trust me.”

The frog, moved by her soft voice and pretty eyes, finally agreed. “Okay, climb on.”

Halfway across the river, the scorpion stung him.

As the poison spread and they both began to sink, the frog gasped in shock and pain:

“Why?! You promised! I carried you! What did I do to deserve this?!”

The scorpion, shrugged with a cold smile:

“It’s my nature.”

Most of you Guys reading this are still that frog.

You meet a woman. She looks innocent. She talks sweet. She tells you “I’m not like other girls.” You sponsor her school fees, rent, business, phone bills, hair, data, and “small small things.”

You tell yourself “she is different.” You invest your time, money, emotions, and future in her.

A woman who has nothing to lose will sting you the moment she feels bored, entitled, or finds a better option.



The more you invest without demanding equal investment back, the more you become the safe provider frog carrying her across the river for free; and she will eventually sting you.

well said. As a man never in your life try to upgrade any woman. No matter how much you love her.

I was in the midst of a certain group of friends who attended my Cousin's introduction and I heard one say that during her introduction, her man had to beg her to lend him 100k to take care of sonthing that pertains to her bride price list and whatnot. She said he later joked that she wouldn't let him rest until he had paid her back the money. Her friends laughed and she was like yes o, I collect my money back o.

Men have to wake up. A lot of us are slaving for women and don't even know it. I'm not saying all women are like this, but the vast majority of them are. Dont invest in women of today, they'll most likely sting you like the scorpion above. I also learnt the hard way. Don't be me.

You can invest in someone whether woman or man but do not expect anything in return but if at the end of the day it goes according to your plans good and fine.
