Burob:Trash! What has that actually achieved? It only ended up making Atiku the only northern candidate, while the south has a plethora cramped in a pigeonhole. |

fergie001 and Aminda, this judgement did not expressly set aside the recognition of the Abdulrahman led NWC. It only faulted it without giving a consequential order that INEC should derecognize the NWC. Even if that is the case, there is a leadership vacuum that would be created. The illegitimate Turaki group cannot be the answer as no court has given them any validation. With the exit of Makinde, PDP no longer has any sitting governor. As at today, majority of party members are with the Wike group. So, all they need to do is get the signature of majority of NEC members who are still in the party led by Wike, the highest ranking member of the party as at today and call an emergency NEC meeting to appoint an acting NWC. INEC will never recognize the Turaki group as they have no valid claim to the leadership of the party after the Supreme Court judgement. |

seunmsg:In the presence of such a vacuum the BOT will immediately set up a caretaker committee. I think Adolphus Nwagbara have done that or should be doing that. |

sagitariusbaby:Exactly sir. |

fergie001:the Turaki faction, but INEC is an interested Party. It is as simple as the bolded. Wike is done with the pdp and will let it go as the CTC has ended any pretense the will empower INEC. If INEC chooses the deaf and dumb approach it will get same in response and in reaction from Nigerians. |
| Re: PDP leadership: Appeal Court faults recognition of Abdulrahman-led faction by seunmsg(m): 10:40pm On Jun 05 |
ikdaddy01:Wabara's tenure has BOT chairman expired a long time ago. Again, the BOT has no constitutional power to set up a caretaker committee. It is only the NEC that can do that. 2/3 of NEC members can call a NEC meeting. Wike being the most senior political office holder in the party and members of the NASS who are still in the party will take the lead in calling for a NEC meeting. |

Burob:No, I should blame Dan maraya Jos. |

peleson1:The damage wike and Tinubu have done to our judiciary will take time to repair. The reason a judge like Okon Abang concurred with the judgement is because the supreme Court had spoken. This was the exact same thing that happened at the supreme Court where a judge meddled into the rivers state lawmakers defection matter which was not before the Court. |

| Re: PDP leadership: Appeal Court faults recognition of Abdulrahman-led faction by seunmsg(m): 7:06am On Jun 06 |
fergie001:Wike is a member of NEC. I am sure there are still some remaining statutory members of NEC including state chairmans. They should call a NEC meeting that will be attended by INEC and appoint a new NWC. The Turaki group can never be the solution since BOT has no power to appoint an acting NWC. |
