Kibbs:Toh. There's a myth that only all-time great small guards can lead their team to a championship |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:01pm On Jun 06 |
A40:KAT has seen a total resurgence on both ends of the court. He is essentially leading this team to the championship. He has to win the FMVP. The Spurs lack of experience ON THE COURT during crucial moments is costing them games in this finals. They are punching above their weight and the difference in this series has been the experience. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 6:56pm On Jun 06 |
No SGA or ref to blame again, OKC is not losing 2 games on home court. |

Roland17:KAT has been more efficient no question but no chance they are giving that MVP to anyone other than Brunson. Personally I'd give it to Kat as well but the allure of a little guy leading a team to a chip I think will be too tempting for them to resist plus Brunson has played well enough (poor shooting aside) to give himself a fighting chance The Spurs really got away with OKC missing Mitchell and Williams because I honestly thought they were cooked after Game 5. I can see them stealing a game on the road but that will require insane shooting because Wemby has chosen to limit himself and refused to bang in the paint |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:46am On Jun 07 |
Lol Golden Knights just dey score dey go. You go challenge tire. They had two goals chalked off and responded with another 2 in 15 seconds. Absolute barrage |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:52am On Jun 07 |
Canes are really getting their teeth kicked in. They don't look like they even belong here |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:40am On Jun 07 |
Lmaoo. What the helly? 4-3. 3 goals in 40 seconds Just 3 minutes after Marner missed a penalty, same dude on a hatrick btw This is the most insane thing I ever seen. 3 goals in 40 fvckin seconds |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:37am On Jun 07 |
A40:Omo this series has been a high scoring affair. Both teams are going for it aggressively and I honestly can’t predict who will win. 4-4 OT |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:48am On Jun 07 |
Both teams with similar shot 28-29 |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:59am On Jun 07 |
Unbelievable hockey going on here! 1st OT is done and we are still tied.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 5:14am On Jun 07 |
Roland17:I've never seen a closely fought series like this one. Not even 2024 that it got to a Game 7. I knew the 4th was coming once it got to 4-3. Too much time left This one is play till you quench. 2nd OT Canes are 6-0 in OT |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:54am On Jun 07 |
A40:The Knights take it in 2nd OT |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:09am On Jun 07 |
Roland17:That's gotta hurt to come all the way back and still lose. Though to be fair the better team ultimately won |

Bull former player and announcer, Stacey King died this morning. I am hearing it’s from a fall in his home. This is a Heartbreaking loss for the entire Bulls organization and the City of Chicago. I remember when work took me to Chicago for a few months, I looked forward to his commentaries because of the passion he had for his Bulls and he made it fun. He was also a presence before games and was quite close to the players. His long time play by play partner Neil Funk (now retired) has to be devastated. #RestonStacey |

| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:04am On Jun 09 |
Seems Adam Silver has put a call out that he don't want a sweep. Spurs have lived on the line |

A40:Naaaa. The Knicks just need to stop forcing this Brunson thing. There is no game in this series where Brunson is going to be the best player on the court. Tonight he played desperately for the MVP with the number of shots he attempted. They need to go back to what has worked and that is playing through KAT. He is their best player in this series and he needs his touches. He had over 20 shots attempt in the previous 2 games, guess how many he got today? 10!!!! If that doesn’t tell the story, I don’t know what does. The Spurs have players who move their feet when guarding the key, in addition to lengthy wing spans that will continue to choke Brunson. He needs to give it up, this isn’t about him. Just play through KAT! Wetin be my own, I don’t think I can live through a Knicks title. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 1:23pm On Jun 09 |
Roland17:Why? Wetin Knicks do you?? Wemby should have gotten a Flagrant one or two for nearly pushing Brunson head of his neck for one. There was a time Harper was on the court and the Spurs had 6 men on the floor. That's an instant tech. Somehow the refs missed it. Plus a lot of ticky tack fouls. Let's be honest. A finals sweep does nothing for the NBA. This thing is one big TV show, that is why ratings matter and they keep track of it they tweak and certainly make things interesting and it was glaring Now to KAT and Brunson. I mostly agree but is it Brunson fault that KAT is not aggressive and demanding the ball? I think the Knicks are at the best when their offense is egalitarian. Not just KAT, Anunoby is another efficient scorer that should be getting more touches. They are going back to old habits of over Brunson reliance and it's on Mike Brown to nip that in the bud quickly Still I think we saw a reverse home cooking. If the refs did their jobs the Knicks would be 3-0 up |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:10pm On Jun 09 |
A40:I bleed Green, the Knicks are like a last born that thinks himself a first. This has been a physical series and the refs have allowed them play throughout the series until the end of the 3rd when they started calling those ticky tack fouls, particularly against the Spurs. The only thing we have realized now is that the physicality favors the Spurs and suddenly Brown is crying about FTs. Brunson foul baits players with the offensive foul nonsense. He sets screens in the worst places so he can get run into and a foul is called. What business does he have guarding Wemby if he wasn't trying to foul bait Wemby? I am glad Wemby batted him like a fly. You can't get FTs if you don't attack the paint and the Knicks can't attack the paint because they are getting swamped once they cross into the Spurs half of the court. If they make it to the rim, the Spurs are contesting well and rebounding well. Coach Brown acknowledged the Spurs did a great job at keeping them away from the rim but in the same breath complain about FTs? That's lazy if you ask me. The Knicks also got away with a lot of home cooking. Why did Brown focus on the FT disparity only in the 2nd? Do you know how the disparity in the 1st? The Knicks had 14 FTA to the Spurs 8! The Knicks should be looking at the number of unforced errors that led to TO points for the Spurs and stop this whining about officiating. You are making my point. The Knicks chose to play through Brunson in game 3 and it was evident in the way KAT was moved away from the paint to create ISO opportunities for Brunson. Issue is, everytime Brunson went on those ISO inside the paint, he is swamped and he can't see above the players so it leads to a TO. The Spurs are staying discipline and not biting on his pump fakes. He took way too many shots. If the offense runs through Brunson, the others don't eat, they get bored and cause stupid fouls, look no further than KAT and Bridges. Josh Hart had the most points he has ever had this series, do you know why? He was spaced out in the corner shooting 3. Brown needs to run the offense through KAT inside the paint. He can see above the crowd when doubled or tripled and that means he can make those passes. |

Roland17:Ohh. Na because them beat una last year you dey vex? But you guys gawked yourselves na. I warned you about the 3pt spamming. When Tatum picked up that habit and when Mazzulla pushed it to the rest of the team There's no excusing what Wemby did to Brunson. If he wasn't the NBA Golden child he would be rightfully facing a suspension. I don't dispute that he also gets held from time to time but Brunson was not doing that. He damn near gave the guy whiplash. From the Naz Reid incident to now this. If that was Draymond we would be calling it a dirty play The Spurs spent the entire second half on the foul line and shot a total of 24 throws in a half. That's just ridiculous. This series is being artificially extended and we don't need to pretend otherwise. There's incentive to do that 13 to 8 turnovers is not a wide margin and the Knicks made as many shots as the Spurs in the two point area. They put 64 points in the first half on San Antonio so that offense was working just fine Where we agree is that Brunson is taking way too many shots. Midway through the 3rd he missed 3 straight shots and a turnover and that's when the game turned. He sat at the towards the end of the 3rd I think 3mins to go and by the time he returned I they were 7pts down There's not a lot they need to change though. They played flawless basketball in the 2nd quarter for example and absolutely dismantled the Spurs. They were in control for the most part till the refs interfered and Brunson tried to be the hero

Is this going to be the highest scoring Stanley Cup in NHL history? These guys can’t stop scoring. Hurricanes 3-2 Knights |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:35pm On Jun 10 |
Ballsy from the Canes there. After blowing that 3-1 lead they could have easily folded but went on to win 5-3 |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:33am On Jun 11 |
Holy shit the Knicks are getting smoked. Brunson can't buy a bucket. KAT not aggressive. When Carter Bryant starts making shots you're fried Spurs can't miss from 3. 5 in 4 minutes. Insane |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:03am On Jun 11 |
Ron Harper must be so proud of his boy. This is some of the most insane shot making I've seen. All you can do if you're the Knicks is hope they go cold and you can halve the deficit somehow cut it to where the Spurs begin playing tight. 60% from the field. 14 3s at the half. How do you even combat that |
