LadyCaplin:Nothing to fear about, I recently traveled with mine issued last year, so you don't need to do anything |

LadyCaplin:This question requires more in-depth answers than some of the responses I have been reading. For those of you who say you travelled this year or just returned this year and did not experience any issues using your sticker visa, can you state the day you travelled? The eVisa system for standard toursit visa was rolled out on February 25, 2026. To the best of my knowledge tourists with Sticker visas are meant to link it to their UKVI Account. Did those of you claiming you had no issues using your sticker visa to visit the Uk from Nigeria travel before or after the roll out date? While the sticker is valid till it expires, some airlines may have transitioned to digital verification. If your status isn't linked to your passport digitally, airline staff may need extra time to manually verify your physical sticker, which could lead to denied boarding if they cannot confirm its validity in time for your flight. Infact if you hold a Nigerian passport with a UK Sticker visa, please create a UKVI account and link your Passort and Visa to avoid stories that touch the heart. It's only a matter of time before some Nigerian at an airport sets ring light to share their horrible experience of denied boarding due to this matter. With Nigeria it's always one thing or another |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by integrityicon: 8:08pm On Jun 08 |
Yes right you can create your UKVI account if you wish Hence you have a sticker visa you have no issue, left Nigeria with my wife May 8th and back may 16th and I had no issue using my sticker visa although people with Evisa were asked for their ShareCode. but once with Sticker visa you have no problem with questioning. the only issue you might have any form of questioning is when your passport that has the Valid Sticker visa is expired and you will be asked to link your Sticker visa with your new passport by creating UKVI account. integrityicon:Great. May I ask if the sticker UK visa that you and your wife travelled with has been used prior to the trip of May 8th, or is this the first time you and your wife are using the said UK sticker visa? |

I want to apply for visitor visa on Aug 1 for an event starting 4th September. These are my expenses for 5days. Flight: £650 Accommodation, Transportation and Feeding for 5days: £150 Total: £800 (1.6m) My monthly take home salary is 1.6m but it enters my company account. The company is active and less than 6months old. I have not filed for taxes since it's not upto 1year. I didn't build account. I will transfer my take home salary from my company bank into my savings account. so I will have a total of 3.2m in the savings account by Aug 1, that is - June and July salary, cos there is no significant amount of money there before the transfers. Then I will show source of the fund by attaching my CAC (bears my name as owner of company), payslips from my parent company, and company bank statement (bears name of company, not my name specifically). I will also submit 6months of my savings account statement (which bears my full name) although the last 2 months are more important. My Parent company is also sponsoring the trip. But I know UKVI wants to also know my financial situation. Also I doubt my company would want to provide bank statement. Although they have no issues providing sponsorship letter. So to prevent complications, I want to sponsor myself for the visa and let my parent company refund me. I have got 2 UK visa before and traveled to UK with no issues. Please gurus in the house, what are my chances of getting the visa? |

Goodevening house, Please I need your suggestions as regards the rejection I just got... I was utterly surprised that my personal account statement was not seen after it was uploaded at VFS. My monthly salary as filled on the form is 2,200,000 monthly but on the refusal letter it's showing annually. Though,I must confess the business statements for 6 months was indeed bulky and I'm trying to guess if there was a mix up somewhere... Have travelled a couple of times to the UK including a trip to the US.. Am at crossroads if I should reapply? Thankyou... |

seunfash16:Personally I would face them via the complaints procedure. If you have the patience to go through the process, then a complaints resolution system will get you the visa although the timeline can be between now and 3 months. So many errors from ECO and your complaint will be upheld if your points like you have written above can be articulated correctly. Also do you have proof that the VFS uploaded your personal bank statement? That would also help in your investigation. Like do you remember giving them the papers and seeing them scan? Strong complaints letter will work. |

Hello Everyone...please who has used skyscanner before?..I am seeing really good prices, almost half of what I have been seeing on other local sites..I have checked baggage allowance and other things and everything checks out...They are also directing me to the airline's website to make payment..pls should I go ahead?...plus the itinerary is lagos to paris to toronto using air france and air canada...pls is this going to be one ticket or separate tickets? Sorry for the many questions. Please I would appreciate a response..thank you. |

seunfash16:I think you should file a complaint - it may be overturned if you have evidence of your statement uploaded on VFS. When did you do your biometrics? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 8:22pm On Jun 09 |
Teemom:You can’t use that route without a valid Schenghen or Valid Canadian visa… toronto ke… they won’t let you board. Get a USA/Schenghen/Canada visa in addition to your UK visa in your Nigerian passport and you can use that route |

Thank you giselle...The ticket is actually for a trip to canada...I have a valid Canadian visa...I just want to know if anyone has used skyscanner to get tickets. Thanks for your response. giselle237: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 4:52am On Jun 10 |
Teemom:I have used skyscanner but obviously if anything goes wrong with the website it sends me to, then my money is protected and coukd always be gotten back from my bank. Check these things- Luggage allowance: confirm both cabin and checked bag limits for your exact flight (airline, class, route). Transfers: verify if there’s an international-to-domestic transfer or a terminal change; note any required shuttles or security checks. Stopovers/connections Payment security: use a card you trust, enable 3D Secure if available, and keep a record of the transaction in case of refunds. Fees and restrictions: check for any bag fees, seat selection charges, and change/cancellation policies. Documentation: passport validity, visa requirements, and any transit visa needs for layovers. |

seunfash16:If, for example, your application form shows 2.2 million monthly instead of annually, you’ve got a case. You also have a strong case since they listed travel expenses as 10 million pounds instead of 10 million naira, and then wrote 5k pounds instead of using the Naira symbol. Still state that you also gave their service delivery partner your bank statement and they uploaded it. These mistakes indicate that the service you paid for wasn't properly provided, and the ECO's refusal was incorrect. Going through the complaints process PROPERLY can get this overturned, even if it takes around 3 months. It’s definitely better than ending up with a refusal for no good reason. |

LadyCaplin:1. Visit the official gov.uk site and follow the instructions for creating e-visas. 2. My family members already have their visas and traveled this June, and they included their e-visas along with the sticker to prevent delays. 3. The process of creating an e-visa is straightforward just simply follow the step-by-step instructions. 4. If you encounter any difficulties during the process, choose the "my passport has no e-chip" option. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 5:14am On Jun 10 |
nwaogukings03:Tricky. Especially as I am yet to identify the correlation between this event and what it would add to your career or trajectory. Positives - You have prior UK visas and travel history, which demonstrates credibility. Potential Negatives - Age wise: are you a young man of fighting age with potential to enter and seek asylum and not go back? - The source of funds must be clearly demonstrated. Transferring your salary into savings is acceptable, but supporting documents need to clearly connect the funds to your income. - Only 2 months bank statements is very dicey. - Since your company is less than 6 months old and hasn't filed taxes you can not state adequately what the annual income is, this might raise questions about the legitimacy of your income source. |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by BruceXavier: 4:21pm On Jun 10 |
seunfash16:Sorry about your refusal, it can be disheartening especially when you it has to do with documentation that you provided but the ECO claims it wasn't provided. From your account you claim that you filled your monthly salary as ₦2,200,000.00 monthly, however the refusal letter registers the amount as annual income. Correct me if I am wrong, to the best of my knowledge, the UK visit visa form doesn't ask you for monthly income. It asks for annual income, monthly expense and intended budget for the trip. Consequently if you put your monthly income as annual income, then the ECO didn't make a mistake. However if the format on the form has changed and they now ask for monthly income as opposed to annual income, then the ECO clearly made a mistake as they are notoriosuly known to do. Please go through your application form and confirm what was asked in regards to your income. For the bank statement you have a strong claim in that regard. You can visit the VFS office and make a case for yourself which you can use in your complaint. All the best in your travails |

LadyCaplin:You follow the instructions when you open the app after creating your account. Everyone that has the sticker visa can create an e visa. E visa means electronic visa. |

Hello everyone, my funds have only recently become stable this month because I was paying off some bills. I’ll be sponsoring my mum to come to the UK for my graduation September. When would be the best time to apply for her visa? |
