My visit visa was like 6 months some years back... my student permit application was less than a month for family applications without upfront medicals...

IRCC will teach you how to wait and pray. No one truly understands IRCC timelines.

One piece of advice for peace of mind and mental health as you move forward and continue dealing with IRCC: you need a lot of patience or you will get Hight BP waiting on IRCC Whether it's a student visa, PGWP, PR, or citizenship application, IRCC will definitely teach you patience.

To be fair, processing times have improved over the years. There was a time when student visa applications could take 4 to 6 months or even longer.

By the way, when does your school resume? I am asking because IRCC are aware of your resumption date and they always work towards that date in mind for the most part

You can never predict IRCC's timelines, but one thing is certain IRCC will get back to you in their own time. Just wait patiently for an update.

What exactly did I say that triggered a grown adult to create a brand-new account just to come after me?

I have been on this forum for almost 10 years. In all that time, no one has ever been able to attach the word “scammer” to my name. Yet an account created two days ago now wants to “expose” me.

I am genuinely interested in seeing this exposure. I am waiting

Stop replying that clown. Amovingman is the same person as uchennay. He is a travel agent whose convidence turn to zero whenever private contributors like us keep giving near accurate opinion. He quickly thinks such person is an agent who wanted to take his job 😀

I just pasted where he was trying to hoodwink a Canada Visit visa applicant into abandoning his visa process and divert to Europe. Stop replying the pupil. Face what you are doing .

I remember when i was applying for my study permit 3 years ago. I would always come to this thread to get valuable information that helped me to eventually apply on my own and get approved.

Back then, you would always see PPR stories and timelines almost weekly and people would share what they did to get approved, what dates they applied and what dates they received updates, what documents they submitted. This thread was very informative.

Today, there’s no PPR stories anymore, i scrolled as far back as i could and found nothing. There’s no valuable information anymore. It’s just this “amnotapervert” guy and a bunch of others always arguing about who’s in Canada and who’s not. Arguing about irrelevant things, spamming and flooding this thread.

Bottom line is, this forum has gone to shi+.

I hope one day i’ll come back here and see Application timelines,PPR and Canada landing stories, and other valuable information regarding study permit application.

Have you ever come back to share your success story and encourage others? Have you shared what helped you get approved, what challenges you faced, what you learned after arriving in Canada, or how your student visa journey has benefited you?

Those are the kinds of experiences that can help others who are currently going through the process.

Instead, you have returned today because of gossip. If you believe the forum lacks useful information, one way to improve it is by contributing the knowledge and experience that you gained from it.

PPR - Passport Request. PPR is not the same as PR. This request is typically made by IRCC to issue a visa.

If you do not understand the origin of a story, please try not to get yourself involved.

You called out my name without having the full context of what has been happening.

Amovingman (an account created just 3 days ago), Chibumalasia, Badadvisor, and AbelAbdul all attacked me for giving accurate comments on certain topics. They labeled me a scammer, called me names, claimed I was an agent, and even accused me of scamming people simply because I told someone that ₦10 million is not enough to cover both proof of funds and school fees for Canada.

Someone even claimed that I do not live in Canada, and that even if I do, I am unemployed. You can see how people make up stories to push a certain narrative.

This is the same forum where someone paid ₦20,000 to join a Telegram group that promised to teach him how to relocate to Canada with only ₦10 million. He ended up getting scammed, and I explained why it was never realistic in the first place.

I also stated that someone who completed a program that does not qualify for a PGWP cannot simply obtain a PGWP. In that situation, they would need to return to school and enroll in a qualifying program. If finances are a challenge, returning to Nigeria may be the only realistic option because most other pathways are not available in that case. People became offended by the truth.

I have contributed to this group for 9 years. Many people have returned with success stories after receiving advice from me. I will not allow accounts that were created 3 or 4 days ago to insult me or spread lies about me.

I have always believed that when someone publicly attacks your reputation, you have the right to defend yourself. That is why I respond. Otherwise, I would simply ignore it. However, the truth must be told.

I will try not to respond to every false accusation, but when necessary, I will clear my name.

I will continue to be part of this Studying in Canada group because I enjoy contributing and helping others, and I would like to keep it that way.

Thank you for the correction. I thought it was PR. Nevertheless no one should say " this forum has gone to shit. Thats an insult to all Nairalanders including yourself.

There has been argument and misunderstanding of opinions and ideas on Nairaland right from the beginning and that does not mean NL is not improving in providing services in various aspects.

We should stop forming bigmanism when giving public correction.

You just spoke my mind, in 2021 I was sleeping on this platform during my application, this place was like a safe haven to so many of us, we post our PPR stories and how we got it done. It’s so sad how this platform was reduced to nothing but a battle field and also a place where scammers get their clients. Nawa oo and this thread part 23 is just too long, we usually stop at 500 or 600 slides.
