Easier to be philosophical when you're not rushing to finish your task before nepa seize light. When you're not scared of being kidnapped, or bombed into smithereens.

Dear unhappy person, come home.
Abeg make una park one side things are not as bad as you people make it seem

Perhaps it's difficult for you to comprehend such a thing.

True words has never been Spoken
At forty you figure life out. Adaptation has set in. If you still waiting for constant light.,Subways, trains and Walmart to make you happy. Happiness go elude you forever.

God no so stupid to leave happiness on one side of the divide .

The Nigeria you live is better than the chariot days of Moses. With moderate light and iphones internet. These were not present back then. Yet they were sad and happy people. You are sad because you compare yourself to other people or nations. So sometimes all it takes is be thankfully for what you have

I have younger brothers in Naija, I have been convincing them not to come here especially the one with 4 kids. I am currently arranging for my siblings to come and holiuday here and see few things for themselves before they jump into the deep blue sea

Honestly, that’s probably the smartest way to handle it, let them see the reality before making a life-changing decision.

Makes sense. I derive joy in doing tasks that are mentally stimulating. Interestingly, all forms of social engagements bore me.

Nonetheless, social interactions, no matter how little, are very important and shouldn't be completely disregarded.

This was a nice piece. Most of us in Nigeria truly don't know or understand what it means to be happy.Everyone just say, let me have all the money and l would be happy, but so far, that has proven to be false and money does not bring sustainble peace and happiness.A life well lived,is that focused on what money can't buy.Lots of rich families are often miserable and in dismay. Our people living in the diaspora, aren't at all happy or healthy ,judging by their appearances.Overworking oneself is not a sign of a happy or healthy living.

You can force yourself to be happy in UK or Canada if you are still struggling. But Nigeria has a deal with the devil to create strife in the life of her citizens. Even unmerited happiness is automatically washed away by unforseen circumstances.

and this is the truth most cannot understand. You can create your own happiness...its an internal state of peace.

This is another similar reason I tend to laugh in the corner of my room when I see people says money will make them happy.

Traveling out of your country will not make you happy either if you're never happy in the first place, happiness is quite personal and have little to do with system or finances, we create it in our own little ways, unknown to many those little things we take for granted might even be the source of our happiness but since we are fixated on the bigger picture we tend not to enjoy the little things of life and always hope that whenever we hit it bigger then the happiness will come, lies upon lies, better enjoy the little moments now and find your happiness there...

Bro sorry ooo but it's not possible to be happy and broke in Nigeria.
Only hungry go dissolve that ur happiness.
Atleast 50 million Nigerians never chop chicken since this year start, go and verify grin

Thewrath:
Forget about happiness for now,did you make money? Were you able to save to invest back home?

If you are not happy there, you won’t be happy here in Nigeria, but one thing in certain you better be rich and sad than happy and broke in Nigeria.

My brother, you cannot convince people. over 30% of my friends that we came to this country togather some years back have returned home for different reasons. Happiness is personal. Oyinbos are more depressed than any other race. I don't go into this arguement, you can never ever win it. They have to experience it themselves to udnerstand it, that is, if they survive the experience.

The first time that some one dragged me to Food Bank, I was surprised to see that the people who have come for free food are about 95% Oyinbos, the blacks and Asians that came for free food were all students. But Oyinbos that were born there and some of whom are over 40 years are the majority. I think I went there once a month for about three or four months before I stabilize a little and said to myself "God will not let me beg for food"
My bro I haven't been there but I understand you psychologically because a family friend that travelled 2021 later ran back home by 2024 and started his own story and gist like this ..
Infact he ended up saying Nigeria is d best or better country than overses Hmm 😂😆
