Emmabyte:explain what he meant by that organized manner n how he will get money to supplement the organized manner? Is organized manner same thing as partial removal? |

When I hear dis man speaks, i see his shallow depth of insights. Having a meeting with who? Labour unions or those enjoying oil subsidy. Meeting with them shows that you are weak and you will strongly be opposed after the meeting. Jonathan met with labour unions and trade union Congress and he was opposed in strong terms. Removing it outrightly was the best decision, Tinubu did. |

Counterigbolies:Where did he see the money he handed to governors after removal? If your next comment is that he can't withhold a governor's allocations, then you're confirming that he failed to plan. He could've called all governors and stakeholders to decide how much of the allocation will be dedicated to providing cushioning effects directly to the citizens. Trying to defend Tinubu is embarrasing, but we don't expect more, his supporters no get shame. No class. |

givedemwotowoto:many of u started following politics in 2023 Can a governor withhold governor's allocation? Hope u remember amaechi took Jonathan to court n won over this same issue? U can see what I posted, savings from subsidy removal and exchange rate reforms earned him money given to governors |

Foolish man. You think those marketers will not hoard their inventory that is being subsidized and paid for by the FG when you begin to hint on removal of subsidy ? You will continue the subsidy and there will be scarcity. And how about the marketers diverting the subsidized fuel to neighbouring countries ? The same thing applies to FX . If you slowly begin to devalue the naira , wont that send signals to the market that the naira is crashing due to the CBN slowly devaluing it? And how do you even get to know the true value of the naira if it is not subject to market forces ? Right now, the naira value is simply determined by market forces and is not arbitrarily set by the CBN as was the case since 1970. The only way to end both subsidy on fuel was to immediately announce on it and remove it as Tinubu did. Every other gimmick will only send signals to the market that both subsidy on fuel and devaluation of the naira was inevitable which will lead to massive dumping of the naira and fuel hoarding by markertes. |

DomPerignon:givedemwotowoto, bigwig071 Please answer these questions? How do u remove subsidy slowly without sending d wrong signal to hoarders thereby creating artificial scarcity? |
| Re: I Would’ve Removed Fuel Subsidy In An Organized Manner – Peter Obi by kedeojo(m): 7:37pm On Jun 18 |
no LordBiden:You are very correct. Tinubu didn't manage the subsidy gains. he should have not increase taxes for now and since the subsidy removal was already having a negative effect on cost of goods and services for a while. look at passport fees and others. |

Peter Obi is just playing to the gallery. From his speech these past few days. He ain't gonna do anything different. He is not that no nonsense leader we need. Ya, he may try in the aspect of the economy by cutting out wastages... But security won't be different under his rule. |
| Re: I Would’ve Removed Fuel Subsidy In An Organized Manner – Peter Obi by Angelfrost(m): 7:41pm On Jun 18 |
The truth is... 2012, under Jonathan was the best and most convenient time period to remove this subsidy. If Jonathan had been supported by everyone, including the opposition, we would be way past the necessary curve by now. What Tinubu did along with Buhari, Soyinka, and others will never be forgiven in the history of this nation's economy. So, Mr. Obi, leave this talk... It's always easier said than done. There is no easy way to remove subsidy now... None at all. |

givedemwotowoto:Yu lack depth on what our Federation entails. Federating states are autonomous entity and not appendage to the FG, FG doesn't have the constitutional right to discuss how state allocation should be spent. Your proposition is dead on arrival because no governor will allow such |

| Re: I Would’ve Removed Fuel Subsidy In An Organized Manner – Peter Obi by frankson1(m): 7:49pm On Jun 18 |
chicfarmer:He would have continued paying the minute he continued from the month Buhari stopped and it would have been difficult because there was no budget for it. Every candidates said lots of things from the outside but when they get in, they see that it wasn’t as easy as they said. As always, talk remains cheap. |

| Re: I Would’ve Removed Fuel Subsidy In An Organized Manner – Peter Obi by simpleseyi: 7:52pm On Jun 18 |
frankson1:. Tinubu said it, and he did it in his first 30 minutes in office right at his inauguration field. General Abacha couldn’t do it, General Abdulsalami Abubakar couldn’t do it, General Olusegun Obasanjo couldn’t do it, General Muhammadu Buhari couldn’t do it, Musa Yar’Adua foolishly increased the subsidy to please the gullible masses, Goodluck Jonathan doesn’t have the spin. Emilokan JAGABAN did it without blinking. Now we know who is the real General. Up till today, the fuel subsidy thieves are still sponsoring bandits and criminals, but JAGABAN will never blink nor bend |

Counterigbolies:In a bid to push a narrative, you are exposing your mental limitations. How do you claim tunubu has no where to source money for subsidy and still point that he immediately increased the allocation to governors. Where did the increment to governors appear from? You keep commenting and responding to yourself on the front page, thinking everyone's suffering from deficiency of common sense like most you 30k crews do. Boy, go learn a trade. This life you chose is not doing you any good. No peace! |

Counterigbolies:The problem is not about the state government allocation increasing or decreasing. The problem is that people's salaries are still how it was and fiam, they could no more afford to eat twice in a day with it again. ![]() |
