My biggest shock on this thread is not the issue of having a kid or not, it is the fact that an average commenter here feels they cannot build sustainable wealth with N500m. This explains a lot about our present predicament as a nation.

Many were talking about house in Lekki and big car. We need serious financial education in Nigeria or else nothing is changing anytime soon. This is a nation of clueless consumers not builders.

Own and live in a good. Neighborhood, Have like 2 bad cars, and a business that can comfortable generate 50m for you per annum.

Depends on how deep you are as a person. I know many elderly people with no children and they are doing fine, one is even the main donor at his church. His family also provides free accommodation for youth corpers for the past 25 years. I also know elders with many children whose homes are the definition of sadness.
