birdman:Again, you guys just need to calm down with the overreaction. This same Knicks side made it to the conference finals last season before losing to the Pacers despite being favorites; so I don’t get! This is a ready made team with all the experience to take advantage of this season. Let’s talk about 1st year head coach. Is he a rookie? We are talking about a head coach that won championships with the Warriors even when Kerr was out. He has 5 championships with one as recent as 2022 and that is whom you guys speak about like he is a rookie. This was the perfect roster for him and it worked out. The East was at its weakest this past season. The Sixers are toast, Embiid is done, PG13 is no longer the same. They are essentially being dragged by a kid in Maxey. The Pistons had a lucky run to the number one seed and we saw how they looked out of place in the playoffs. My Celtics were supposed to tank but somehow JB dragged us into the playoff. It was a season one of Spida or Brunson needed to take advantage, I said from the start of the playoffs na. Make Una stop this overreaction! They won but by no means were they underdogs. This isn’t the Hawks winning the Championship here! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 9:10pm On Jun 21 |
The Knicks should stop trying to hold the entire league hostage! They are demanding apologies from everyone one now! Alaye you have won, move on abeg! This is what is annoying to me because you are not the first to win the title and by no means were you underdogs throughout the playoffs, including the Finals. They demanded an apology from Stephen A, he apologized.. Only you are now demanding apologies from Wemby, R. Beadle and now B. Hammon! Man!!!! Just go on with your ring.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:01pm On Jun 21 |
Roland17:It's trolling for the haters. 53 years no be moi moi. They are allowed to keep receipts Wemby earned his own roasting for his WCF celebration all through the Finals he had a strange level of Delulu like he didn't understand the opponent he was facing. He just like Ilia Topuria last week learned a valuable lesson in humility |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:10pm On Jun 21 |
A40:Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I can’t with y’all… Na!!!! Y’all busy hating on a sophomore player in the league! Yo!!!! A kid that had his team punching above their weight! You do realize the Spurs had absolutely no business playing in the NBA finals this year! Yo! I can’t.. Make una enjoy.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:36pm On Jun 21 |
Roland17:Third year actually. Lol Wemby did a lot of misyarnin and front running. To win you must first learn to chest defeat with grace. All them dirty plays, elbows and things. All of this is good for character development. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 12:09am On Jun 22 |
A40:Make Una allow us breath eh! No be everybody dey chest defeat with humility and grace. Some dey use am fuel. He is in his 3rd year and took out the defending champions who were favored to win it all! We have complained the players have become too friendly and now we have someone who doesn’t care about his opponents and we are wailing.. It’s going to be a long year before we crown another NBA champion. O Lord! I may have to keep avoiding NBA contents across all platforms until further notice. Ahhhhhhh! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 1:12am On Jun 22 |
Roland17:I no know say you hate Knicks reach like this sha. A lot of Wemby antics honestly were underwhelming. From the national anthem thing. I know Popovich has been corrupting that boy with Woke politics, the Draymond Green dirty plays. I like tough competitive hoops, not dirty plays. If I want violence I will watch mixed martial arts Even in hockey which is a tougher sport than basketball after each series after knocking each other's teeth in they file a straight line and give handshakes. Kobe when he lost to your Celtics went to shake Paul Pierce, KG. MJ went to shake the Bad Boy Pistons 3x. That's how it's done I can't stand fake demons. If you dish punishment and trolling you should be able to take it. We heard what he said when they beat OKC in the NBA Cup. After all he's done a Lil fvck Wemby should not bring any complaints it's also part of the game |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 1:52am On Jun 23 |
Be like Giannis dey head go Celtics. Unconfirmed though |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 2:27am On Jun 23 |
A40:Na every minute I dey refresh.. It’s between Celtics and Miami. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:33am On Jun 23 |
Roland17:Do you approve? Looks like Jaylen Brown has talked himself out of Boston I don't see why he goes to Miami unless he just wants to use enjoyment wound himself and basketball no he priority again Heat culture no longer exists |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:09am On Jun 23 |
A40:Who will refuse a generational talent like Giannis, even a hater like me! Boston is the perfect landing spot for him. He gets a chance to compete for rings every season. As for JB, I just think it’s time to move on, wished we got one more ring. He was never going to be picked ahead of JT. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 3:11am On Jun 23 |
Roland17:long throat. which team is a better fit depends on what pieces they lose. Bam and Giannis would be must watch. I think JB would be too much to give up for Giannis. But it would signal Celtics playing a different game, which is what I alluded to earlier about the EC changing hands |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:23am On Jun 23 |
birdman:Birdman! Birdman!! Allow me na… Bam and Giannis with whom? There is no way they are keeping T. Herro. There have been conversations about keeping JB and still getting Giannis; I don’t put that past B. Stevens. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 3:35am On Jun 23 |
Roland17:That JB contract heavy, so you right, he likely stays. But that reduces flexibility and tilts in Heat favor I think, and Herro will definitely be touched. I know we would give up Sengun to bring Giannis to Rockets |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:25am On Jun 23 |
birdman:Your Rickets should be talking about Harden back home. You have no business dreaming of Giannis. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 12:31pm On Jun 23 |
Giannis is off to Miami and like I predicted, T. Herro is part of the trade.. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/49149967/bucks-trading-giannis-antetokounmpo-bobby-portis-heat-tyler-herro-kelel-ware-jaime-jaquez-jr-kasparas-jakucionis-picks |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 4:51pm On Jun 23 |
JB was already a crabby guy on a good day. He will throw a fit seeing his name mentioned in trades yesterday. I hope the young lad is smart enough to shut up for once and enjoy his contract. Celtics have been good to him. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:29pm On Jun 23 |
birdman:Tears in my eyes. Never thought a day will come when you acknowledge my Cs. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 8:51pm On Jun 23 |
Roland17:Welp. Well you don't have to worry about that anymore. The issue is how does your team look JB in the eye moving forward. This is like the umpteenth time you have tried to ship him away |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 8:55pm On Jun 23 |
Giannis injury history is a bit of a red flag. Since they won the chip he's played more than 60 games just once and he turns 32 soon with no jumper in sight. I can understand why the Celtics didn't trade the house Anyway I will like to see how the floor spacing will look like with Bam, Giannis and Wiggins all guys that can't really shoot They will be elite defensively though but with no Point and no shooting I guess we shall see |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 8:59pm On Jun 23 |
A40:Didnt trade or couldnt trade? Well, we back to Miami of old, all brawn, no shooting. Im sure Alonzo Mourning and dem old school heat fans appreciate such a team ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 9:01pm On Jun 23 |
A40:Yea the floor spacing inside the paint is going to be interesting. I am not exactly fond of twin tower type forward/Center players. Bam is a better passer of the ball, so it may help but they are going to need a savvy PG to make this work. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:39am On Jun 24 |
birdman:That style isn’t going to get them anywhere in 2026. They need perimeter shooters. They can’t afford to lose. . Powell at this point. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Blueelf: 10:25am On Jun 24 |
Roland17:Not like they would even repeat next year Success just did view once for them In fact, they ain't winking another ring for 10yrs at least |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:21pm On Jun 24 |
Roland17:Oh cmon, look on the bright side . The last Knicks-Heat brawl was like 30 years ago, we due for another. I wonder what social media would do today if a coach was pulling a players leg in a brawl. I dont know if coach Brown built like that, but no one thought Jeff van Gundy was either .More seriously, shooting can be addressed easily in today's league, so I dont think its a problem. Main thing imo is can a Bam Giannis duo stay healthy long enough to make a difference |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:13pm On Jun 24 |
birdman:I still think they have one more move in the chamber. Maybe a mid level guy |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 3:13pm On Jun 24 |
Blueelf:Well we've had a different Champion 8 seasons straight. That isn't saying much |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:05pm On Jun 24 |
Roland17:Neither of them are statues so that's the difference. Still the ball handling is dodgy. None of them are elite at it. I don't think their offense is going to work without a very good PG. In close games who is going to be the go to for a bucket between Giannis and BA is another thing |
| Re: The NBA Begins by kushercain: 7:31am On Jun 25 |
A40:Maybe they recall Cp3 from retirement? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 10:13am On Jun 25 |
6 Nigerians drafted this year. Nice! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:30pm On Jun 25 |
Lmaoo. What are the Timberwolves doing? Wth will you trade for Lamelo Ball and give up Naz Reid. The Lamelo I've seen the last 3 seasons has not impressed me at all They've now offloaded Julius Randle and Naz Reid. Two guys that whatever you want to say about them gave the Wolves toughness. Nuggets will just be jubiliating |
| Re: The NBA Begins by kushercain: 6:47am On Jun 26 |
Hornets were just starting to click too in the latter half of the season. It's like the whole team said, "I understand it now" Melo and Ant will cook tho |
