WAEC Nigeria os not a separate entity, WAEC is a single entity, it is not under the federal government as it not fully funded by the government ( just 15%) . Nigeria is just a regional member which has a local branch just like the other west African countries. Supreme Court don settle this matter tey tey . Regards

I do not support what these students did. Law is law. These students paid appropriate fees which includes; school fees and waec fees etc before they were allowed to sit for the examination. Any miscoonduct that is not related to examination malpractices, their results can never be withheld. You can punish them for any misconduct other than withholding their results. The students need to be punished, but not withholding their results.

No local state government has the authority to command or force WAEC to release results without payment. You cant withhold wat you don't or can't have.

Absolutely right, which is why the upbringing of our kids is a collective responsibility of both the parents, schools and our local community. I remember growing up in our community in warri, of they catch us smoking papper or putting matches in our mouth to blow out the smoke, dem go fost give you correct slap, then your parents will now thank them and resume the correct beating, same goes for all the small girls in our areas too, if you wear anyhow cloth, dem go first tear you correct slap, then give you wrapper to cover yourself. You cannot register to write "WAEC" instead, you register to write the "WASSCE" but I understand how we can mix them up sometimes. The exam is taken in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia.

i have said the same thing in one of my many replies to people who didn't understand, the west African Examination council, waec is the governig board that conducts the west African senior school certificate examination ( wassce) i didn't mix it up, i made clarifications in one of my many replies. university have the right because the exams are conducted by the respective schools, but in this case the best they can do is os to withhold the certificate issued by their respective schools, not the result.Statement of results and school leaving certificate are two different things. Regards

The highest they can do os direct their respective schools to delay in issuing them their school leaving certificate, but you see that waec results, as long as dem buy scatch card... Forget
