helinues:The Police reform bill at the senate does not seek to create police force for every state. It is a necessary constitutional amendment that will empower state legislatives to enact laws that will see to creation of state police. The onus now lies on the individual state assemblies to pass laws that will see to the creation of a state police. Without the constitutional amendment, the state legislative body can not enact a Police force . Giringori is an inept shallow semi illiterate that doesn't even understand that the constitution must be amended first before states are able to pass enabling acts that will see to setting up of a state police . |

TemplarLandry:5. Electricity Decentralization: States can now generate, transmit and distribute electricity, ending decades of excessive centralization. How has this helped us get more electricity supply? ![]() 6. NELFUND: Students from low-income families can now access tertiary education funding without the traditional financial barriers. How many people you know are benefitting in this audio stuff? 7. Tax Reform: The tax system is being simplified, reducing the burden on low-income earners while improving compliance and accountability. What is the tax collected after the reform used for now? We've not seen any positive effect. 10. Food inflation reversal: So you can fall for this scam. |

BioData45:Before any state will roll out a duly recognised Police force it will take at least 2-3ys. Why? Because the respective state assemblies must agree to a state police and provide the enabling act for such . Secondly, would be police officers will have to be screened by DSS and then go on a police training course. There's also the issue of funding that must be addressed and so far no state governor has captured state policing in their budget for 2026. There's also counterpart funding from the FG that will only be met when states comply with the provisions stated in the newly amended police act. The NSA will also have to approve the logistics arming of the state police as no governor can directly import arms under any guise. So it will take at least 2 to 3ys for the most serious states who want state policing to have a police force up and running. Giringori thinks state police forces will just spring up overnight when the amendment is concluded by the senate and sent to the President to sign into law This just shows how he does not even understand how governance operates within the ambit of legislative and regulatory oversight |

frankson1:Peter Obi's problem is that he sees State police force interfering with the elections that are slated for mid January 2027. We are just 5 months to the end of the year and from there 2 weeks into the general elections . Which state can have in place a state police before the elections ? It will take at least 2months before state assemblies working overtime can agree to a document on state policing framework and that's if the governor ascends to it. Then there is the issue of staffing. Giringori thinks state policing is like setting up his village vigilante outfits where every misfit and village nuisance gets to be village cop . Would be Police officers will have to be screened by DSS and pre approved to attend Police training college and/or university. This will take time before the first batch are ready for commissioning. Then there's the issue of funding. No state has accommodated for State Police in their 2026 budget and most will require much needed counterpart funding from the FG which will be tied to meeting the criteria set by the constitution , state assembly and Police Service Commission. How about arming ? The governors can not import weapons for state police force. This will have to be through the office of the NSA and before that can happen , the state police force must have met all criteria before hand by way of enabling legislation and proper staffing alongside put in place a firearms audit system. As I said it will take at least 2-3ys for states to have a duly legally backed and recognised state policing force. For Giringori to even consider that the amendment is targeting 2027 just shows his own projection on what he will do with such powers as an executive governor and also exposes his gross ignorance about the bill he is blindly criticizing. |

The social media president, Peter Obi, should stick to his social media rants and unsolicited donations. At best, that's the role that fits him. He has exposed himself as lacking both the intellectual depth and political experience required to navigate a complex country like Nigeria. |

Mr Obi doesn't care about the killings and kidnappings, all he cares about his 2027. Very pathetic. 10 THINGS PRESIDENT Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu IS FIXING THAT PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS DIDN’T: 1. State Finances: Instead of bailouts and unpaid salaries, states now have significantly higher revenues and greater fiscal stability. 2. Consumer Credit: Through CREDICORP, Nigeria is building a structured credit culture, giving workers access to affordable financing and opening the door to broader financial inclusion. 3. State Police: A long-discussed security reform that previous administrations couldn’t advance is finally gaining traction. 4. Local Government Autonomy: For the first time, grassroots governance is being treated as a priority, bringing governance closer to the people. 5. Electricity Decentralization: States can now generate, transmit and distribute electricity, ending decades of excessive centralization. 6. NELFUND: Students from low-income families can now access tertiary education funding without the traditional financial barriers. 7. Tax Reform: The tax system is being simplified, reducing the burden on low-income earners while improving compliance and accountability. 8. ASUU Stability: For the first time in many years, Nigerian students are completing academic sessions without prolonged nationwide ASUU disruptions. 9. Mega Infrastructure Projects: The Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway, Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, and Lagos-Abuja Super Highway represent infrastructure ambitions on a scale rarely seen in Nigeria’s history. 10. Food Inflation Reversal: Nigeria is witnessing a decline in food prices after a period of sharp increases; something many Nigerians thought would never happen once prices had risen. |
