Hello everyone I am a University student currently in 300 level who wants to go to the UK to visit his mom who have been living there for the past 5 years however 2 years ago I was denied a visa twice which was a dependent visa based on the sole responsibility requirements now I wish to visit my mom in the UK for my long University holiday and also attend her graduation however I feel scared that's my previous refuses are we have effect on my new application please I don't know if anyone here can guide me on documents to submit to prove that my intention is to leave the UK after my holiday.i was 17 years then now I am 19

Hello everyone. i applied to a UK school but i did not declare that i had a prior visa refusal from the US because the school does not give admission to people that declare previous refusal and i have paid tuition deposit. should i maintain it during my visa application or should i declare it? will my visa be denied if i declare?

The main thing is convincing them that your ties to Nigeria are strong enough that, on balance of probability, they would reasonably expect you to return.

Your mum having been your sole custodian in the past may not carry the same weight anymore, but they could see it as a factor suggesting you have a stronger pull towards staying with her rather than returning to Nigeria. They may also question how strong your family ties are in Nigeria given that your mum had sole custody in the recent past.

I am not a travel agent or immigration adviser, so I cannot give formal advice, but I think the strongest mitigations would be showing clear roots in Nigeria, for example:

- financial ties (investments, property, stable & thriving business, available steady income);
- strong personal/family ties (spouse, children, other close relationships);
- career ties (stable job, training, or thriving on a budding career path in Nigeria).

Being in uni as an undergrad may make it difficult to make a convincing case with any of the above though as its not something a FT student will be expected to convincingly demonstrate on a normal basis.

Another possible route could be applying for a student visa after securing admission, where the focus is more on whether you are a genuine student and whether the course makes sense with your inclinations.

Please does UKVI demand for IELTS result if school gave admission based on WAEC result which the validity period will expire before visa is granted?

If ur sch demanded online WAEC,, provide online WAEC to UKVI with pin... Do exactly whats on ur CAS

Guys , do University of Hertfordshire request for Proof of funds before issuing CAS

School don't need pof for cas, that needed while processing visa.

Have you gotten CAS email now?

Sheffield hallam did not ask me for pof i don't know about others though.

Is it usually asked before the pre-cas?
