Did he also make Seyi Makinde? Baba Kabiru already had a solid grassroots base before Tinubu became governor. As a matter of fact, Tinubu benefitted from his structure in Alimosho to become governor.

Tinubu benefited largely from the good will of the woman who adopted him and her husband. Abibatu Mogaji.

That woman alongside her family name and backing of the elders of Lagos Island gave Tinubu the supports he had when he first became Senator and when he was later voted governor in 1999.

Those men that helped him them, he betrayed almost all of them. He cornered the entire state to himself and family and throw crumbs at those that chose to remain with him.

Where’s Kofoworola Bucknor?
Where’s Funsho Williams? (He stepped down for Tinubu in AD 1999 primaries).

Tinubu was never an activist. He was in bed with military leadership as far back as Babangida’s time.
