Judge This Matter For Me by Ammmy(op): 4:26am On Jun 29
Please help me judge this matter without any form of sentiments. I let out a loud fart inside the toilet and my mum was in the sitting room. She got angry and said I was disrespectful. It caused a really big issue between us because I stood on my right that I was in the toilet. Please what I did was it bad?

You made a mistake! You should not have said anything; let her run through her emotions all by herself and calm down all on her own afterwards. undecided

You don't need to argue with illogical people every single time. Sometimes you need to let them process their own emotions and reach regulation without your help or input. I do it to kids and find that doing it to adults also works excellently well, too. undecided

You should have just say sorry and let the matter dies immediately instead of asking strangers for opinion...

You were confrontational with your Mum? Na wa for you o. Something that you would have turned into a joke and you guys will laff it off.

🤧 - Stand on your right ke. Children of nowadays.

Ask yourself this:
Let's assume you were invited for an interview for a really big contract. You were pressed, and you asked to use their rest room. Will you let out a loud Armageddon that they can all hear?

Some things are not immoral, but courtesy demands that we don't do them.

I asked for opinion because she's taken the matter very far and personal. It's now causing a big issue

Stop talking or responding to any bringing up of the issue. 🥱

Any adult who has yet to realize and accept that farting is part of the human situation, and one who takes offense when you go out of your way to do it politely is one you should not argue with. Yes, even parents can be wrong and immature about such things. And no, it is not your place to try to help them see reasons when they throw tantrums. 🥱
