Good morning Family, na now japa plans wake up.

Studied Accounting but worked in a hospital 4 years ago. Wants to head into Preregistration in Adult Nursing. What and what do I need to do. Is it possible ? Study gap is currently 8 years but I have been working since then. Secondly, what are currently the requirements for dependents to join you? Assuming I successfully complete the course. What do you think I should be doing for now to boost my chances. I want to consider March intake. I will be grateful if I get advice, thank you

Hi, how can I track my visa application please?

Hello everyone, i need advise. I am applying for a UK visit visa for the first time.

I have collected all my documents, including my payslips, bank statements, and employment verification letter from my employer.

Now, the issue is that my bank account has my home adddres - I use that because it’s my family home. I see a case where someone was denied because the address on the statement is different from the address in the application.

What do you guys advise? changing the addresses now will be a bit of a constraint because the Meter does not have my name as it’s a rented apartment so i can’t use the utility bill at the bank.

Can i add my home address to the list of addresses i have lived in before now? will it count?
Yes, you can add the home address to the list of addresses you have lived in.

You may wish to write a simple cover letter to explain the situation.

Hi everyone,

I’d really appreciate your advice on my UK visitor visa application.

A bit of background:

* I was previously earning ₦450,000 monthly, but I was recently promoted and my salary is now ₦713,000.
* My average monthly expenses are around ₦300,000, so my disposable income is now roughly ₦400,000.
* I currently have about ₦3.5 million in my personal account.
* There are a few months where my expenses were higher because I paid school fees, and I also lent someone some money, which was later repaid. These transactions are reflected in my bank statement.
* My fiancé also transferred some money to me, and those deposits are reflected in my statement.
* My trip is for 2 weeks, and my sister is sponsoring the trip with £4,000.

I was previously refused a UK visitor visa, and I’ll attach the refusal letter.

In my previous application, I submitted my employment/introduction letter and payslips. However, one of the refusal reasons was that my payslips did not show the bank account into which my salary was paid. My payslips only contain the salary breakdown and deductions, not the receiving account details. My salary was paid into the same account I submitted, but the payslip itself doesn’t display the account number.

I believe I’ve addressed most of the refusal reasons this time, but I’d really appreciate your opinions.

My questions are:

1. For the financial section, should I explain my average monthly expenses (around ₦300,000), or should I account for the exact amount spent each month, even though some months were unusually high due to one-off expenses?
2. How should I explain the higher expenses, the repayment of the money I lent someone, and the transfers from my fiancé?
3. Given that I have about ₦3.5 million in my account and my sister is sponsoring the trip with £4,000, is there anything else I should do to strengthen my financial evidence and also strengthen ties?
4. Do you see any potential red flags that I should address before I submit?

Thank you so much for your help.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by luvhenry(m): 11:14am On Jul 05
Hi Guys,

Please see below my refusal. I am quite confused. I had about N13m in my account. (So i have saved more than enough over the months, to cater for this trip). It seems they are saying i want to spend 3x the money i save monthly, at the same time, they are saying, maybe the budget of 4.9m is not enough for 12 days. I am confused. Please share comments, as i need to re-apply. I also have property evidence to show in my next application.

The problem with your application was the amount you declared as your expenditure in Nigeria. After the expenses you are left with £793.45,

The £793.45 is your net income and you are planning to spend £2,700 on your visit to the UK,

Everything seems okay. The ECO was not just convinced, probably suspects your profile was packaged. A little point I'll add though is that you reduce the number of days to probably 7 or 8days

The reason in the refusal is not just about your salary.
It mentions deposits from your employer thats not related to your salary.
Pls scrutinize your statements well
Highlight your salary input
If you get commissions or other payments outside your salary you would need to explain.

You're a working adult. Your sister can not be full sponsor. She may cover your living expenses, food, transport. But you should cover you flight fare at least

Thanks a lot for your response. I would have thought the focus should be on the "enough savings in the account" (13m in bank account) and 10k Dollars in investment account, as against X3 of net income. I will reduce my days then.

They really do not have what they focused on, they put all in to consideration to make a decision. The onus is on your to submit a water tight application without loopholes. If your total expense for the trip is less than three times your disposable income, but will eat up a substantial part of your savings, the application could still be flagged.
My Opinion: reduce your total expense for the trip and also reduce your normal monthly expense so as to have a high disposable income. Then make sure the total expense for the trip is not more than 2X your disposable income, or highest 2.5X your disposable income. if you have landed properties, even if it just a land, declare it in your application and show evidence of it.

Please Help!

Hi All, please I need help with total cost for the trip. I am travelling for just only 10 days in October which ticket is off -season, which is little bit lower. My sponsor will provide food and accommodation.

My first question is I am confused between £800 and £1000. Which of the two(2) amounts there would be ideal to the ECO?. I checked ticket and cheapest is around £620.

My final question is do I need to provide a ticket reservation for the trip?

Any advice

Thanks

Thanks a lot. But do you think it is wise to reduce the expenses slightly when i re-apply? considering that they may make reference to this recent rejected application to see if i have stayed consistent

Attach a screenshot of flights of your chosen dates showing £700 and below or something.
The invitation should indicate what you she is providing.
Then she needs to back it up with proof- either bank statements or payslips.
Trip duration should not be more than 10 days. If you get the visa, you stay longer.
Do not pay for any flights.

Yes, you can. Just make sure the total expense is reasonably and not more than 2.5 of your disposable income. or better still, reduce your own monthly expense, this will increase your monthly disposable income.

This is not true. Even though I linked mine. I travelled on June 24 and only my sticker visa was checked.

The person must link the details to UKVI, and get a code before traveling. Digital world now!

Hi everyone!

There's this question that has been reccuring about whether you can travel with your sticker visa without "converting" it to an evisa, and the answer is YES. A family member of mine visited the UK recently (July, 2026) with their sticker visa (no evisa) without any issues at all.

Just thought to share for anyone in these shoes.

All the best!
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Pelaiye2703(m): 12:05pm On Jul 09
giselle237:
They will review the last form. Even if you did not provide proof, the records are there once you submit your biometrics.
The visit visa form usually requests the name and date of birth of your spouse and children if you mention you have those.

On the new form, the child/dependent section can be left blank or ignored (i.e., you simply do not mention any dependants). However, on the partner/spouse section, it is very likely to flag because you previously entered a name and date of birth. You would then need to explain the change in details… for example, by stating the previous marriage was a traditional marriage that was later dissolved etc, and that you are now married to a new spouse. This can be tricky, depending on how far apart the two submissions are.
If you also say it was dissolved, you must present proof of what you are saying otherwise they will not allow this application as it is strictly a one man, one wife country.
If the forms were submitted close together, for instance, if last month you listed Nkechi Tinubu as your wife, and this month you state you have been married to Hadiza Jonathan for one year, then the flags again show everything is inconsistent and the holes in your story will be picked apart.
They will then tear down this relationship to prove it is genuine and subsisting and to make sense of what has happened to the previous spouse…. I hope you understand.
URGENT PLEASE!!!

I received a mail from UKVI requesting for additional documents for a criminal clearance from NPF

Also, I have been asked to provide evidence cos my current spouse is different from the application I did in 2020. I have never been married nor had a child, the agent only filled that in my application to proof strong home ties. I am legally married now with proof and certificates.

Please, how do I respond to this email??
