Why would you want to adjust a school uniform to suite your narrative or lifestyle? It is called a uniform, for goodness' sake. If you aren't comfortable with the uniform, as it were, find somewhere else that can accommodate your lifestyle. Simple!

Training up the child in the parents' religion is the business of the parents. Sorry. Thank God the kid is not in school 24 hours.

When the issue of hijab in NYSC came up some years ago, I argued strongly that a hijab has never harmed anyone and that the NYSC has no business rejecting it. But you see kids? We have a responsibility to ensure that they learn to live by societal rules by obeying school rules. A school is not Dugbe Market where you wear what you like, and an aggressive minority should not be allowed to bring chaos to our schools.

UI International school is not university of Ibadan. It is a private school mostly attended by the children of the staff. There are similar schools in all the federal universities all over Nigeria, not only UI.

Even in all western countries, hijab is not banned. But in Oyo state with Muslims majority, hijab is being banned by school administrators and appeal court. Wonders.
These olodo judges believe that the Nigerian constitution only applies to public schools and not private schools when the fundamental human rights is concerned. Wow!

Life is full of choices. If you don't like the regulations in a place, you go to another place where you can be tolerated. If, for example, you go to a Deeper Life Church and they say you must cover your head as a woman, if you don't like it, you can go to Living Faith Church where you don't have to cover your head. There are different sects in Islam, if you don't like the way they do things in one, you go to another one that suits you. You don't go a place to impose your way of life. When in Rome, you do like the Romans. If you can't, you can go to Afganistan.

Mind you, no one is saying that kids can't wear the hijab. Send your kids to a school that allows hijab and let them wear it to your heart's content. You say no, you must force it on a school that has set its uniform and did not include hijab. Sho.

Which constitution are you people even talking about?
Which section of our constitution says it is fundamental rights of the female Muslim students to wear hijab?
All the Muslim children that full Bokobiri in Calabar or other part of southern states, which hijab do they always wear to school?
All of them wear approved school uniforms to their respective primary and secondary schools and heaven doesn't fall for goodness sake!!
So, those ones don't have fundamental rights?
Or they are no longer Muslims?
Nobody stops you people from practicing your religion but it shouldn't be in a secular space.
They have given you right to establish Islamic schools,go there and if you like,use blankets to cover yourself from head to toe there, nobody will question you.

That's what they do. They are experts at using systems and internal rules to suppress muslims and Islam. You can not avoid this treatment anywhere in the southwest. They have problems even with the gentlest of muslims for being good, kind hearted and easy going. What do they really want from muslims?

This ruling should be challenged up to the Supreme Court. No muslim girl should be prevented from donning their hijab.

But In this 21st century every student is expected to pray in Jesus name every morning on the assembly in the same school which is also not a Christian school. Try to exercise reasoning. The Supreme Court judgement is there already and that is why I said the contention is whether or not the school is a public school. Besides, like I asked earlier, how does a piece of clothing affect adorned by another to cover what they deem sacred them affect your life! The Hijab is an everyday attire for Muslim woman. Not to a function, not only on fridays or any other day. It is an everyday attire.

The school said they don't want their female students to put on a hijab, the school have their dress code for males and females which they do strictly enforce
