Ex-Muslim Habibat Completes 144-hour Bible Reading Guinness World Record Attempt

After six straight days of reading the Holy Bible aloud, Habibat Salawudeen completed her 144-hour Guinness World Record bid for the longest Holy Bible reading marathon.

Habibat, who hails from Kogi state, used to be a Muslim until her conversion to Christianity a few years back.

She said, her real goal it is not just about breaking the GWR, but to inspire people around the world to read the Bible.

She also said she had been mentally, physically preparing for the marathon for four years now.

Her Guinness World Record Attempt which took place in Port Harcourt, began on June 22 and was concluded on June 29.

Kudos to the young lady, Habibat, for this inspiring and worthy attempt at using the Guinness World Record as a medium to spread the Gospel.

Such ideas are highly recommended and worth sharing and emulating.

It's the type I've been pondering about, where such record breaking attempt would be used to propagate the Gospel of Jesus to the world.

Hence it's good to see that others are also thinking along the same line, where such efforts wouldn't just be for personal glory but to glorify God.

I remember sharing the story here of Authur Blessitt who began carrying a wooden cross around the world in obedience to Jesus' instruction, but ended up becoming a world record holder of GWR as a result.

Although he's since departed this world, his selfless and sacrificial efforts to carry the cross to reach the ends of the world with the Gospel, yet continue to inspire many souls.

I also happen to be one immensely inspired by his cross-walking, and still harbors the dream to do likewise someday, even though I may not be able to get close to his GWR record, talkless of breaking it.

I hope though to achieve a similar kind of GWR, where it's not my aspiration, but i achieve it in process of aspiring for the things of the Kingdom.

Moreover i'm also exploring other ideas that could be used in reality TVs if possible, that instead of promoting nudity, sexual immorality, violence, it will be used to teach moral lessons of patience, integrity, humility, obedience, honesty, purity, accountability etc.

Where such platforms are used to promote righteousness and godliness, to the glory of God.

Most of these apostates always cling to their Muslim names,if they can leave Islam why can't they leave it completely by changing their names?

This is commendable and also an encouragement for me to complete my 1 year plan of reading the Holy Bible.

In this world, we could have 1 million type of RELIGIONs or thousand of faith as we want.


But, in heavenly it's just two type

It's either you are with Jesus or not.
This is how heaven see us.
No drama.
It's either you are with Jesus, the only faith system of God or you aren't. If you like says angel whatever deliver something to you from God, God has already warned us in the Bible the implications of taking instructions from heretic angel or deceit men in Galatians 1:6-10

It's there in John 3:16-19 to know it's JESUS Christ or nothing


In heavenly or heaven or with God, an atheist, isn't different from any unbeliever like Muslim or Buddhist or pagan or IDOLATORS or anything or anyone outside Christ. All of them has same mother.

BIBLE in Galatians 4, from verse 22-31 says religion correspond eachother. I.e they are like each other once you don't believe Jesus is LORD

She's lucky departing this world without a glorious relationship with God through his glorious son jesus christ is eternal anguish and death

Even Jesus and all the 12 disciples didn't live to see the Bible as you have it today not to talk of reading it from Genesis to Revelatios!

So one ex-Muslim won't change the fact that the Bible is a concocted book compiled and canonised centuries after Jesus.
