Nah, I was about to when I got the mail for Interview, so I think its best to wait till after the interview to now apply, I will do that immediately after the interview.

Received CAS for like 2month and not apply for visa, how about his POF won’t it be running…

Good evening all. Please I’m trying to gather my documents for Study VIsa application while waiting for my CAS and my visa agent said I need tax clearance and CAC document as well. Please note that my mum is sponsoring me and the money is in her account. Her business doesn’t have the documents. Also I have a study gap of 3+ years and have employment reference but my salary can’t pay for the fees. Is it compulsory to submit the CAC and Tax clearance? Can’t I get a visa without that? Or rather wait for them to ask before I send it (it’s not readily available but we may be able to sort it.

In my case, the CAS was not withdrawn because of the interview.

THe interview was after the CAS and it was the typical questions, why UoP, what other alternatives were in consideration and how does this course fit into my prior academic background.

Runing theory now is somewhere between delay in applying for VISA after getting CAS & the fact that they've beefened up their requirements

Sounds to me like they probably have more applicants than available places on some programmes and are trying to whittle down applicants who may not be fully committed or who don't see the university as their first choice.

If you've been issued a CAS but didn't submit your visa application shortly afterwards, the university could interpret that as a sign that you're keeping the offer as a backup and may not actually intend to enrol.

It could also suggest that, despite indicating you meet the requirements, you're not yet in a position to make a successful visa application which could affect their sponsorship licence.

I guess the purpose of the interview is to give applicants an opportunity to explain the reason for the delay in applying.

Does it mean biometrics can only be done in Lagos or Abuja..... I'm not getting appointment slot at any other location

The ones that they withdrew their CAS after 10-15 working days of applying for VISA

According to the uk website,it is allowed.youll just have to confirm from the school if they accept it for CAs application

Trust me, not everyone that pays deposit follows through. I have paid deposit to a Uni in the EU and forfeited it because something I considered better eventually came through.

Yes, they are likely double checking the person can successfully get the visa. it is quite possibly recent visa applicaations from Nigeria has had a higher than normal visa refusal rate so they are proactively rechecking to keep the success rate within homeoffice limits

U are talking about EU,,we are talking UK

Trust me, not everyone that pays deposit follows through. I have paid deposit to a Uni in the EU and forfeited it because something I considered better eventually came through.

The point is not everyone puts their eggs in one basket even that at that level, many are looking at multiple migration pathways, not unsual. & the schools know this also.

Can anyone confirm if UK universities still use certificate of investment for CAs and visa applications,do they get approved?

U can only do that if u are considering different countries... Doing 2 deposits in d same country is like putting all eggs in one basket
