A titanic battle as expected. Benin's Romaine Gandanou truly living up to the hype as one of Africa's best young players on the rise. She is Benin's response to Zambia's Banda. Very strong and good on the ball. Our Flamingoes defence really had a hell of a time against her. I like that we still found a way to win but we need to be more clinical if we are going to leave Cotonou with the WC ticket. The Kindness Ifeanyi change for Harmony Chidi was unexpected but it turned out alright. That shows the depth of quality we have got in the team. To find goals even without Harmony. Kemi Adegbuyi and Queen Joseph are ballers. But they can do more in front of goal. I tip the girls to win again, this time in cotonou or wherever it would be played if they are clinical. Worst case scenario is a draw. BascoVanVeli: |

This is not true. I personally even brought up her stats at U17 and U20 level in the qualifying series but also stated that we have what it takes to stop her and Benin from causing an upset. She is a really strong player. Just needs proper man marking. The Benin team is Boot the ball to Romaine uptop and inshallahu. Schemerkhiz: |

BascoVanVeli:That Romaine girl stretched our defense yesterday. Our defenders were exhausted. |

It happens to even the best of young players. She will surely bounce back. Good thing the others stepped up. Our U17 team is good but we gotta reinforce our backline. solonnachi: |

TheSuperNerd:Edo Queens Center Back Valentina Uroko (aka The Bull) would have easily pocketed this Romaine just that she’s 23yrs now and currently one of the best Center Back in the NWPL if not the best..

I'm sure there is a 17 year old girl out there 8n Nigeria that can put that Benin man child striker in her pocket. The problem is our coaches don't scout properly. |

BascoVanVeli:Right now she doesn’t have the Capacity to unseat Echegini or Tony Payne in that number 10 role… even in a Midfield of 1– DM and 2– CAM she can’t start over the regular Echegini and Ajibade. Madam should be stead with her club first before considering getting a spot in the SuperFalcons right now.. Younger Suliat Abideen, Emmanuel Favour and Precious Christopher will do a better job |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 3:02pm On Jul 08 |
isan:WAFCON squad is 26… So he should at least give us 21-23 quality players and then he can trade the others as usual. |
