Proudly Idoma
Thanks for sharing this.
It’s very enlightening.

All the names seem to start and end with vowels.

With this information, I now find the names of some prominent Nigerians interesting given their vocations:

ELAIGWU -as sharp as the sword/blade
The first and most prominent person I know who bears Elaigwu is Professor Jonah Isawa Elaigwu who was a renowned Emeritus Professor of Political Science at the University of Jos. He was a leading scholar in comparative federalism and civil-military relations, and the founder of the Jos-based think tank, the Institute of Governance and Social Research (IGSR).

Being an emeritus professor, he was a man of letters so him the name “word is as sharp as sword” is fitting.

AKOR - war leader
Akor Adams, professional footballer striker who plays for La Liga club Sevilla and the Super Eagles.

AGABA – Lion
Peter Agaba, Former Nigerian football defender.

The youngest player of the 1987 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Canada, at just 13, he was tournament.
He also put his name into the history books at the 1989 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Saudi Arabia, when at just 14 years and 151 days old, he made his debut for Nigeria in a 1-1 draw against Czechia during the group stage.

ABAH -gathering of heroes
I found a number of writers bearing Abah online
Betty Abah: A highly acclaimed author, journalist, and women and children's rights activist. She is the Executive Director of the NGO CEE-HOPE and has authored several books, including Sound of Broken Chains and Go Tell Our King.
Glory Abah (Mogbo): A creative writer, ghostwriter, and writing coach. She frequently writes for outlets like BellaNaija and teaches other writers how to tell compelling stories.
John Abah: A professional content writer and ghostwriter with years of experience producing website content, blogs, and articles.
Simon Abah: A writer, freelance journalist, and campaigner who focuses on social impact and teachin

ENE -Mother
Ene Oloja
She played the role of mother as Zemaye on NTA's Cock Crow at Dawn in the late 1970s and later as Mama Nosa in Mirror in the Sun.

She later acted as Funmi in Behind the Clouds.

She also later played the role of Udo Josai, an African immigrant and the confidant of the protagonist, Erica Bain (played by Jodie Foster) in the 2007 Hollywood thriller The Brave One.

Similarity of some names with Yoruba

I also observed a seeming similarity with the use of the Yoruba word “Oja” which means market .
ONOJA - Market leader
(a very resourceful person)/ Oloja (literally Market Owner in Yoruba)
EKOJA masculine the one who was born in the market (use of Oja/Market)

Missing names
I noticed that Orokpo and Ochefu are missing. Are they not Idoma names?

There's Apostle Michael Orokpo and Colonel Anthony Ochefu, a Military Governor of East Central State during the military regime of General Murtala Mohammed.

Re: Some Popular Idoma Names And Their Meanings by Lovelydaisies: 2:13pm On Jul 10
It would seem that Enugu and Benue States have had a connection sometime in the past, because I know people of the Nsukka extraction that bear Ojobo, Idoko, Ujah, and some others that were mentioned.

Dogalmighty17:
There are Igbo in Benue state in zone C (Ezza and Izzi Igbo communities in Ado, Okpokwu and Oju local government areas). A pretty small number though but they settld in those parts of idomaland long before the coming of the white colonisers. They are effectively stateless as it is. They don't have a voice in Benue state and the Igbo in Ebonyi seem to have nothing but hatred for them.

The earliest maps of Biafra includes what is now called zone C in Benue state as Ojukwu wanted to ensure that the Igbo kith and kin in that part of Benue were not forgotten while at the same time, creating a buffer between Biafra and Northern Nigeria.

This is a key reason why the Nigerian airforce has its largest base in Makurdi, the Tactical Air Command. This is where Nigeria's latest fighter jets are based. The base is close enough to cripple any build up of logistics to sustain any fighting force in Igboland and distant enough from Igboland to avoid capture.
