Schemerkhiz:Why not scout the NWFL? The Super 6 would have been a better idea. |

BascoVanVeli:Ayisat have her own academy and also organize tournaments (She football initiative) for young girls every year so you don’t expect her to leave her players and go pick others.. Anyway there are other academy there including AOA…

Let's go get that WC Ticket! solonnachi: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:25pm On Jul 10 |
TheSuperNerd:I trust the PLAYERS 💯 As for the NFF and Coaching teams ❌ That ticket is sure because those players will certainly do it with their never say die attitude… |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 7:22pm On Jul 10 |
Cape Verde squad list is surprisingly strong ....Ghana will have their hands very full in their opening match . |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:30pm On Jul 10 |
The Super Falcons' main stars like Alozie, Okoronkwo and co all back to action just at the right time ahead of the WAFCON is good omen for the team. |

Nigeria SuperFalcons WAFCON squad..
|
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 8:32pm On Jul 10 |
Our Queens are clinching title 11 😎🤩 Ideally, I want our starting backline to be Alozie, Demehin, Oladipo, and Imuran. Gutted that injury (recovery) has kept Plumptre out
|
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 8:50pm On Jul 10 |
PDPGuy:That defense still need the experience leg of Osinachi Ohale.. and Madugu isn’t taking her to the WAFCON to sit on the bench. But again Shukurat Oladipo will certainly play. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 9:33pm On Jul 10 |
Schemerkhiz:Absolutely correct. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 9:38pm On Jul 10 |
Schemerkhiz:I'm so happy that Uchenna Kanu and Esther Okoronkwo are back. Maybe injury recovery may have forced Ashleigh Plumptre out. And why can't Francisca Ordega just retire and give way for Chioma Okafor? The front line is 🔥 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 9:52pm On Jul 10 |
Ordega might be the reason the list drop late ... PDPGuy: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by FiveFootNinja(m): 9:53pm On Jul 10 |
isan:I just weak. In big 2026, we're still doing this. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 10:00pm On Jul 10 |
solonnachi:Not just Chioma Okafor, we seems to always forget about Flourish Sabastine as well who would have been a great addition to the team especially off the bench... She would have served as the Lamine Yamal of the team winning them a lot of fouls at dangerous positions which I know the team would have taken advantage of with Esther Okoronkwo brilliance off set-pieces.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 10:05pm On Jul 10 |
isan:Apart from the experience and the Senior Franny vibe she would bring to the team there’s no way Ordega can beat this Sabastine and Chioma Okafor based on form and individual brilliance.. The Athleticism she used to bring upfront is no longer there.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by semid4lyfe(mod): 10:57pm On Jul 10 |
Gutted for Ashleigh Plumptre and Chioma Okafor. Francesca Ordega na waste of space. Ordega wey go dey run and her yansh go shoot out dey impede her motion, na hin we still dey carry go tournament in 2026? Osinachi Ohale - She's past her best and gets beaten a lot for pace these days but her man-marking ability, defensive organization and experience got her on the plane. Asisat Oshoala - Na her rep still dey keep her for team. Hasnt been it in the past few years. Our Super Falcons players siddon tight attitude dey worse than Nigerian politicians . Make Madugu no look Uche face. He should be bold and pick his starters based on performance and form, not past reputation. Wishing the team the best and hope they win our 11th WAFCON title |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ekehopp2: 12:39am On Jul 11 |
Schemerkhiz:Squad almost identical to 2024_Women's_Africa_Cup_of_Nations_squad bar 6 changes. Missing out: GK Tochukwu Oluehi (Due for Retirement from Falcons) GK Udoka Unachukwu (Still got dues to pay) DF Ashleigh Plumptre (Injury?) DF Miracle Usani (Still got dues to pay) FW Ifeoma Onumonu (Retired honourably) FW Chioma Okafor (questionable selection previously anyway) Replacements WAFCON 2026 GK Comfort Erhabor GK Oloko Fatima (The babe is fine/tall but aside that a questionable selection?) DF Rofiat Imuran DF Glory Ogbonna (Not a fan of this selection) FW Uchenna Kanu FW Joy Omewa |

Schemerkhiz:Infact, NFF doesn't need to take the coaching crew along. The girls can do the job on their own. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 2:00am On Jul 11 |
A solid squad. Team is complete. Super glad to see Ihezuo and Kanu on the list. They are back from injury and firing. The attack is stacked. Best attacking depth in Africa by far. The Only Major absentee is Plumptre no thanks to injury. Although, I would have preferred a younger quality winger to take Ordega's slot but it's fine. I hope this is definitely the last time we call on her experience for a major tournament coz the WC list in 2027 should be stronger than this. PDPGuy: |
