etidy:The players are to push back against a campaign instigated by their own boss? Na so them dey do am? You fit do am? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 12:08pm On Jul 05 |
etidy:Non basketball reasons such as Nike. All it took was one golf game of Nike executives with Brad Stevens to turn his boss against him. Like they say, not everybody can be a yes man. I am team JB, come rain, come sun. It is the Celtics loss. E go too long for them. E go long well well. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 1:27pm On Jul 05 |
greypencils:He was so disappointed. He never requested for a trade, even after he the Giannis trade didn't work out. He is disappointed they didn't even tell him why he's being traded. I'm sure it was a decision beyond Brad Stevens. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 1:36pm On Jul 05 |
etidy:Stephen A's criticism of Mikal Bridges was about his game. Like, New York dropped so much for him than the performance he's giving so I will take that. Besides I don't see anybody with Hart's type of personality in that Celtics roster to come out and challenge em Stephen A. The only one is Brown ![]() I see Brown challenging the media/system and not staying silent like your regular professional sportsman is where the issue lies. The bosses don't like people like that, even in the corporate world. I get it. I still wouldn't blame him for acting that way though. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 1:37pm On Jul 05 |
etidy:Yeah, he has issues with Nike. I mean Brown himself said it that Nike was behind his exclusion from the Olympic roster. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 2:54pm On Jul 05 |
Some roster tidbits *⃣59: The number of unsigned free agents that finished on a regular season roster *⃣ 413: Players under contract (non two way/exhibit 10) *⃣ 37: Open roster spots *⃣ 3+ roster spots open: Cleveland, Denver, Golden State, Houston, LA Clippers, Miami, New York |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:16pm On Jul 05 |
etidy:Criticism of his game is fair. When you start criticizing a man's character then you are entering muddy waters. Tell me any criticism all those guys you listed got outside of basketball. Apart from Kobe (we all know what allegedly happened) and LeBronze (well deserved) What is this offcourt behavior you are talking about? He has no criminal record whether DUI, DV, Drugs. Absolutely nothing There's no reports of him being a bad teammate, being late for practice, he's never disrespected their country whether their army vets or whatever. Even with his SJW inclination his actions have been mostly pragmatic and not performative Nobody has actually articulated his offense with anything other than vague references to him being an oversabi. Is it not better to be oversabi than to be a dumb dumb. There's parts of JB game you can criticize. When you start attacking his character you have to specify what you mean and state your source! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:18pm On Jul 05 |
Ridwan1821:The annoying part is nobody has expressly stated why he was excluded. I mean with Isiah Thomas we all know Magic, Bird and Jordan hated him. No cogent explanation was given on Brown's exclusion |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Ridwan1821: 6:28am On Jul 06 |
A40:Yes no cogent reason was given, though Jaylen Brown wait it was Nike that facilitated his exclusion. I will be rocking with him in Philadelphia. I want him to succeed there. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 7:45am On Jul 06 |
A40:Brad Stevens dey vex say JB dey call himself MVP candidate, why shouldn't he? Mazulla won coach of the year, with which players abeg? Was Mazulla on the court putting his body on the line and making shots? No! JB was the man scoring those points. When Wemby spoke up about being an MVP candidate, did SAS executives come for his head? The Celtics FO, president, executives and all dem shit, ori won ti gbale, salty racist modafuckers! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:02am On Jul 07 |
greypencils:Lool relax. I've seen some further explanations and quite frankly this makes a bit more sense. Instead of painting Jaylen Brown as some kind of terrorist I think the Celtics are now admitting they were trying to pinch pennies. This is going to be a bigger problem moving forward for quite a few teams. This second apron business. The Celtics did not want to pay Jaylen Brown long term. He would be owed $180+ and the Celtics decided instead of being on the hook for that and having to extend him into his mid 30s for close to $300+. Take on Paul George who they can flip next season as an expiring deal. https://x.com/i/status/2074224346978234876 |

Lebron trying to duke spotlight with world cup. Foolish man ![]() Now that its over, we all know where Lebron is going. Gonna end his career back with the cavs. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:06am On Jul 22 |
birdman:I saw videos of him at the Jay Z concert and I just dey shake my head. I don't think he really got the chance to mature properly. Everything he does tracks of only child, child prodigy I didn't get to enjoy childhood syndrome |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:09pm On Jul 22 |
birdman:If we call Ajala Drama Queen now, some of una go begin convulse. I don’t know how he will survive after retirement when the attention dims. I think that is why he wants to keep playing until he is 50. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 1:39am On Jul 23 |
Ryan Clark out of ESPN. I could have called it, especially after the Peter Schrager incident. He became unbearable and predictable with a lot of his narratives and hinged everything on race. Started to sound cocky, egotistical and arrogant as well. Good radiance! He has a podcast, that should keep food on his table. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:26am On Jul 23 |
Roland17:Had a chance to build a solid persona and even be a fan favorite bigger on TV than when he was playing but he went the woke route. His foot in mouth moments were so many and it was only a matter of time. The two of his rubbish utterances that stood out to me was when he said Lamar Jackson would be the first authentically black QB to win a Superbowl. Like what does that even mean?? And then he said RG3 can't speak about Angel Reese cos he's married to white women. Meanwhile his first daughter has a white mom ![]() Just an absolute 🤡 |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:00am On Jul 23 |
A40:A super-clown! He anointed himself the gatekeeper of who is black and who shouldn’t be black. That Lamar Jackson ish was the most annoying for me. Talking about, Lamar Jackson is carrying the weight of the culture on his shoulders.. Like bro WTF!!!!! Some of these guys start out well but soon exaggerate their influence and think they are bigger than the brand and start drifting extreme with their takes and nonsense. I was an easy call for ESPN and I am glad they did. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:00pm On Jul 24 |
Roland17:These people need to recognize two things. The people they are pandering to are either not fans of sports or are in the minority. ESPN is seeing that with their TV audience and slowly moving away from BLM activists to focus purely on sports And as a network heavily relying on live sports they can't afford race baiters on their network pushing agenda. Guys like Ryan Clark end up over correcting for committing the cardinal sin of shackin with a White woman. Mark Jones who was on ESPN is another example. They suddenly turn to fake SJWs to show they are still 'down' for the cause |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 5:20pm On Jul 24 |
Roland17: A40:Ryan Clark, the guy who won Emmy for himself and the show? Both of yall need to clam down, there are things you fundamentally do not get about the country you have immigrated into. They playing chess, you playing checkers - dont let your immigrant success fool you, better study the playbook. Luckily RC pivoted, knowing what was coming. One post enough for the wise. If not, argue with yourselves and realize your error in a decade or two. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 5:35pm On Jul 24 |
Bron to Philly. Dude is definitely ring chasing. Maxey, Edgecombe, Brown, Embiid as teammates, this will be interesting. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 5:39pm On Jul 24 |
greypencils:But when Durant does it ![]() On a serious note; it's up to the other teams to step the f up and not let it happen. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 6:08pm On Jul 24 |
SmooshCHN:Everyone brands Durant a ring chaser. He cant wash his hands off that one. Bron too. He should embrace the tag with his full chest. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:09pm On Jul 24 |
SmooshCHN:We know what we are doing.. All of us! Agenda must Agend! |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:18pm On Jul 24 |
birdman:I no dey una zones sha but leave all this talk. Won the Emmy for himself? Na only am dey the show? What of the host. Laura who's actually pretty good and the others. Please. Stop pretending like people give a crap what that man has to say Do you know how many times that man has had to come online to apologize for some bone headed nonsense he said fuelled by fake SJW BS. Do you know how ridiculous you sound calling Lamar Jackson the first authentically black QB. What does that even mean? Where does he put Jalen Hurts, Mahomes, Russell Wilson. Abi na only one type of black dey? The part he said about RG3 is what pissed me off the most. I despise people that push hive mind rhetoric or think they can decide the degree or level of people's blackness depending on whether they agree with your talking points or not I don't think any immigrant should be going above and beyond brown nosing anybody. I don't endorse foolishness be you black or white. Don't worry, with what the demographics and black politics is saying and their support for detrimental choices (abortion, LGBT agenda, lack of family values) African immigrants are not the ones that will be realizing their errors |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:21pm On Jul 24 |
LeBronze is so shameless with his ring chasing he joined the team of the guy that said his son is trash and don't belong in the league ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 6:43pm On Jul 24 |
wait o, wait o, is that not where jaylen brown is? Bwahahahaaha, now they can compare hair loss notes ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:41pm On Jul 24 |
Omo, LeBron is still the face of the league and it's not even close. Even I am shocked ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:45pm On Jul 24 |
SmooshCHN:Yea, let's compare prime KD to someone who's basically a relic at this point. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Wotowotoman: 8:09pm On Jul 24*. Modified: 8:45pm On Jul 24 |
Bronny gonna be like ‘Pops when are we going to Philly’. Same way Thanasis was like ‘Bro, when are we going to Miami’ 😂😂😂😂 |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 12:38am On Jul 25 |
greypencils:Exactly! I don’t get why LeBron gets a pass. Players have every right to move wherever they want because it’s completely within the rules even though I 100% agree that some moves are just foul. LeBron himself has openly said he wants to be where he can compete for championships. So I don’t understand why the same people cheering and making excuses for this; same people who celebrated him teaming up with stars in Miami during his prime are the loudest critics of Kevin Durant for doing something similar. They bandwagon from Cavs to Miami to Cavs then Lakers and now Philly but have the audacity to call KD names; the double standard is nauseating and they should be ashamed (not really; they break no rules and have no shame). Everybody is a ashewo; Ajala most especially. It's that simple. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 12:38am On Jul 25 |
Roland17:E come be like sey no be the same sport we dey talk about all these years. |
