So Victor Osimhen's Financial support made it possible for Janet Akekoromowei to treat the injury and recover in time. That is grand again from Victor. His gesture has saved Nigerian women's football a huge loss. Coz Janet is one of the biggest striking talents in African Women's football.

Kudos Victor Osimhen.

And he didn't make any noise about it like most politicians do. Just serving humanity silently. He covered NFF shame.

Thank you Victor. God bless you🙏

In everything a Coach will always have his/her favorite player on the team no matter what..

So let’s hope for the best from them, even Edwin Okon once forced Ibubeleye Whyte on Nigeria as replacement for Precious Dede then even when we had Tochukwu OLUEHI and Alaba Jonathan far better.

At this stage, the Coach should be looking at Center Backs who are U25 and below that can replace Ohale when the time comes not a 29yrs old who’s just average and might not play long again for the Falcons..

I hope the other Younger CB’s up their game so that they can get the chance..

Seems the friendly match between Nigeria and Tanzania is played behind closed doors

🇳🇬 Nigeria 1-0 Tanzania 🇹🇿

🎯 Assist: Rinsola Babajide.

Rofiat Imuran out ➡️
Glory Ogbonna in ⬅️

I just hope this Imuran Knock is something she will shake off before the first game because Glory Ogbonna can’t be relied on at Left Back…

I will rather have Shukurat OLADIPO there..

Ogbonna is the weakest among all the defenders picked.. Nicole Payne 😭😭

Countdown to WAFCON 2026: Tournament History Titbits series with Nerdie
Kickoff: July 26th
Super Falcons Opener: July 28th v Malawi

Titbit 4:

🟣Most Appearances at the WAFCON - 13

Nigeria and South Africa are the only nations to have appeared in all 13 previous official editions of the Wafcon since 1998.

This will be the 14th official edition of the WAFCON (formerly called the AWCON/AWC) and both Nigeria's Super Falcons 🇳🇬 and South Africa's Banyana Banyana 🇿🇦 will be present yet again.

Inevitables. Ever presents.

Titbit 5:

🟣Most Semifinals appearances in Wafcon history - 13

Nigeria's Super Falcons with 13 Semifinals appearances HAVE NEVER FAILED to advance to the Semifinals of a WAFCON Edition.

South Africa comes second and has 11 semis appearances. They only failed to make the Semifinals in 1998 and 2004.

Pre-Wafcon Friendly....

Aside Nigeria's result vs Tanzania,

Ghana's Black Queens defeated Malawi 4-0.
