Fiscus105:The Edwin Clarke that you quoted, does he have the character or charisma of OBJ? Or is he not one of the "Come and Chop Leaders" of the South-South who betrayed their People, betrayed the development of their Land, for Personal Financial Gains, each time they travel to Abuja to collect Money from the Presidency? Abeg Shift jare. OBJ is not perfect but a man like him who is bold in decision-making, (right decisions, not the current Subsidy is gone type!), is bound to be controversial. You think if OBJ was the President, these Terrorists/Bandits will still be as Confident as to be overrunning our Military Formations and killing Generals at will, Kidnapping Children from Schools and making Farming in the South West/Middle Belts impossible? Loose with Women? Yes! I have never seen a Military man who i snot loose with Women, not even that Bean-Pole Jihadist called Buhari. ![]() But that story of sleeping with his Son's Wife or Daughter, is a False allegation manufactured to smear his image, until it is Proven to be True. |

fergie001:I'm not interested in Obasanjo epistle. All I know is that Obasanjo is a deceitful and greedy person, and he doesn't want anyone to be greater than him in Yoruba land. I don't care about all his tissues of lies here. He forcefully took over the south west in 2003. |

fergie001:I don't know why people would love to lie when the facts are in the public domain. I don't have time to read your rubbish reply. 1. The military junta wanted a Yoruba man to rule in order to pacify Yorubas over Abiola matter. Obasanjo was their choice. 2 The Southwest politicians chose OluFalae 3 Obasanjo won but the SW voted Olu Falae to sustain Baba Awolowo legacies. 4 In order to win the SW in 2027, the PDP caucus killed Bola Ige in his Ibadan residence. The result? PDP won the SW states through a coordinated rigging but Lagos was still won by the AD. 5 Obasanjo wanted to include 3td term clause into our constitution which Atiku and many others rejected in the Senate. 6 It was Obasanjo who refused to sign GLO documents because he did not want anybody to be like him. in the SW.When Obasanjo travelled out ,Awujale and some people had to go to him in London on the Glo matter.Yet he refused to give approval for Glo to operate in Nigeria. 7 When he was out of the country,Atiku signed the document for Glo to operate in Nigeria. 8. Did Obasanjo recognize Abiola June 12 election? It was Buhari a Hausa man that gave recognition to June 12. 9 Did Obasanjo support Tinubu to be the president? Is it not Obi that he supported? Baba Obasanjo is after his own interest. He does not want any Yoruba man to be like him.He has failed woefully as a Yoruba leader. I look at anything Obasanjo says now as the senility of the old age.Everything about Obasanjo is in the public domain. Long live Yoruba nation! Long live Nigeria |

AMINDA:Atiku was not a democrat. From the day he became VP he wanted OBJ out. Not for the good of the country or anything, but for himself. You can make points for him, without using flowery words like Democrat for him. Your other comments on this topic also suggest mayb you are an Atiku supporter, that is why you gave out this biased Judgement. |

dettolgel:I respect everybody 's opinion. When Yardua was the president, why did Obasanjo use Jonathan as the VP instead of an Igbo man? He knew if anything happened to Yardua Jonathan from the SS would be the president not anybody from the SE Obasanjo may look like an angel to the SE but we know our thinking in the SW. Obasanjo will not support a cause if he will not benefit from it. |

anonimi:I was not talking to you firstly I knew you would always jump into talk cos of your watered for the south west and buhari.... which economy then what did the beautiful intelligent okonji Iwela do then as far has I remembered she Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the most widely remembered because of her role in economic reforms, debt relief, and fiscal management during Obasanjo's second term. Corruption against Atiku Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) case (2006): The EFCC accused Atiku of improperly approving the transfer of millions of dollars from the PTDF into commercial banks and alleged that some of the funds benefited companies linked to his associates. An administrative panel recommended sanctions, but Atiku challenged the findings in court, arguing the case was politically motivated during his dispute with President Obasanjo. William Jefferson bribery investigation (United States): Former U.S. Congressman William Jefferson was investigated and later convicted for corruption. Prosecutors alleged Jefferson intended to use bribe money to influence Nigerian officials, including Atiku. The FBI searched properties connected to Atiku's family during the investigation, but Atiku was never charged, and he denied ever accepting or requesting a bribe. Privatization controversies: As chairman of Nigeria's privatization council, critics accused Atiku of influencing the sale of government enterprises to favored investors Tinubu Government revenue Ending the fuel subsidy significantly reduced government spending. Federal and state governments have received higher revenues, allowing larger monthly allocations. Foreign exchange market The gap between the official and parallel (black market) exchange rates has narrowed compared with before the reforms. Foreign exchange liquidity has generally improved, making it easier for some businesses to access dollars. Foreign reserves and investor confidence Nigeria has attracted renewed interest from some foreign investors. The government has taken steps to clear parts of the backlog of foreign exchange obligations, improving confidence. Oil sector revenue Higher oil production than in some previous periods, combined with reforms, has supported government earnings, though production still faces challenges. Stock market The Nigerian stock market has performed strongly, with many listed companies seeing gains as investors responded to the reforms. For your info I be SS boy and Atiku won't smell it, it either tinubu or obi..... |

OBJ really did Atiku bad right? But there are three things you did not talk about that made me to reply you, I would love to have your insight on. 1. Atiku role in the founding of PDP Mind you that OBJ was a nobody in Nigerian politics, Atiku contested against MKO as far back as 1993. OBJ is not a founding father of the PDP. 2. Atiku role in rehabilitation of OBJ financially cuz OBJ was broke after prison, he even wrote in his book that it was Atiku that gave him his first millions after prison. 3. Atiku role in destroying OBJ 3rd term agenda 4. Atiku collaboration with Tinubu in 2007 under AC You can't write about 26 years of Atiku without talking about these 4 issues. epainos: |

BATified2023:you are correct. Obj was the worst thing that has happened to this country. We are not commending him. He used Maurice iwu to do a very dirty job that period. Then people would be serious protecting their ballot boxes at their units, and the results would be announced. Obj had an opportunity to make Nigeria great but he messed up. The funny of it all is that he wants tthe right thing to be done in elections, but he didn't do it. The fact that obj is supporting obi doesn't take away his evils. The reason he should take the lage portion of the blame of the mess in this country is that he knows Nigeria better than any person in this country, yet he had the opportunities twice, and he messed up. Infact, obj is the cause of our issues, because his successors are following his footsteps in conducting elections. |

Was it Tinubu who allowed Sharia in states in the North in 1999? Mohamed Yusuf formed Boko Haram in whose tenure? All Sharia implementation and founding of Boko Haram was done under OBJ. Are you trying to change history? Are these not the root causes of terrorism till date? smallsmall: |

LabStores:At least Out debt was Zero Nigeria respected all over the world He appointed competent hands to run economy without picking his kinsmen Nigeria was hosting heads of States and major sports tournaments. These are few this I remembered OBJ for. Under you Emilokan. Tell me any useful President that has visited? Tell me how Nigerians in South Africa 🇿🇦 are being treated. If not for Ghana and other countries who are bold to retaliate what could be our fate. Tell me one Minister who is capable under your Emilokan? Can Nigeria ever host even under 09 Inter house sports now as a nation. We are the laughing stock amongst the committee of Nations. If not for Rema, Burnaby Boy, Davodo, Wizkid, Flavour, Asake and Phyno, Osihmen and others who are making Nigeria proud outside, no one will be talking about Nigeria today. |

tiwasiaife:Best? Based on what exactly? How old are you? Some of you post things without checking the facts. When Obasanjo came into office, the pump price of petrol was ₦20 per litre. By the time he left office, it was around ₦75 per litre. In fact, just 3days before leaving office, he approved another increase. Think about the scale of that increase. In today's terms, it would be like raising the pump price from ₦1,000 to like ₦4,000 per litre. The one achievement some people constantly cite is GSM. But why is Obasanjo solely credited for that? Did he found MTN, Glo, or Econet? The telecommunications revolution involved policy reforms, private investment, and the companies that built the networks, not Obj |

Why would Obasanjo's kinsmen kick against him? He had shown not to be a worthy person before. He betrayed Gen. Olufemi Olatoye (HRH), killed Mrs. Olufunmilayo Ransome Kuti, gave away Awolowo's legacies to federal government in his lifetime ( WNBS, Liberty Stadium, Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria High Commission, Uk). Those who choose to work with you died gruesome deaths in service: S.M. Afọlábí and Bola Ige. You baba Obasanjo could be good for an unscrupulous Nigeria not for psychedelic yoruba people. Even now, Yorùbá people has not seen you as a worthy elder. I know baba has prowess in the usage of words. Your own daughter Iyabo disowned you, even one of your wives competed the presidential election with you to spite you. Baba you don't have much to stay here again, beg God for forgiveness and your kinsmen also. You have not etched your name in the marble pages of Yorùbá history. |
