Can anyone recommend a Canadian Uni or College that doesn't require your school sending your transcript.

My nephew graduated from Uniben and they made him lose his admission Newfoundland last year due to their inability to send his transvript Despite several requests. Though he has the soft copy and also a sealed copy he got from the exams and records unit.

Can someone recommend a uni or college that accepts the sealed transcript as substitute for his uni sending a copy
so sorry for your nephew he should ask his seniours how they did their own

Same situation here ,applied April 21st medicals passed 30may and no response till now , school start fall construction techniques at Sheridan college , first semester tuition paid in full . I thought I was the only one . It’s indeed very tiring ,
Tiring is an understatement. The fact that nothing can be done to know what’s going on makes it worse. We’re just days away from the deadline from school. It is well jare

Hahaha, I have already gone through the entire process documented my struggle from 2017 on Nairaland

Student Visa → Co-op Work Permit → Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) → Permanent Residency (PR) → Canadian Citizenship.

So what exactly do I have to prove to you?

How is the marriage of convenience going ?

Use Claude AI to look for a possible solution. Make sure you select Fable mode, although I think Fable is only available to paid customers not free. But Fable is very powerful.

During my time of application, my school said if my study permit is refused they will refund my tuition deposit. The only money the won't refund was the 125CAD application fee.

For POF you must show ATLEAST your one year tuition fee. If the program is more than 1yr, show how you intend to pay for the following years without having to work in Canada.
You must show you have at least $22,895CAD to cover your living expenses for one year. If your program is more than one year you demonstrate how you tend to survive for the coming years without having to work in Canada.

In my own case I used OANDA Currency Converter and my study permit was approved. It was not specified which converter to be used.

My program is two years. I showed POF for the two years tuition fees and living expenses for the two years. So there wasn't any need for me to convince them on how I intend to pay for the rest of the year. Then, after paying for the tuition deposit, I paid for one year tuition. I could have just applied for study permit with just the tuition deposit but ChatGPT advised I pay one year tuition and that was what I did.

The receipts for the tuition deposit and one year tuition fee I attached them to my POF.
How do you mean by tuition deposit and one year tuition fee?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ugreat(m): 11:46pm On Jul 24
AbelAbdul:
You can also try this one. Ontario Tech University.
I submitted my application 11th Feb and got admission 17th Feb.
Who owns a school is irrelevant. just make sure that the school is DLI and the course/school is eligible for PGWP.
You can visit IRCC website to check schools that are DLI. And once a school offers you admission, if it's DLI their DLI number would be on the offer letter.
As long as it's DLI ur study permit would be approved.
Thanks for this. I'm checking this sch out

Tuition deposit is a part of your tuition fee. It is that money you pay to claim a spot in school. It's always one of the conditions outlined on your offer letter before the final unconditional letter is issued.

When I arrive in Canada next month, I will create a thread on "MY PERSONAL EXPERINCE" The thread will cover every step I took from getting my NIN to getting my Passport, to applying to schools, to applying for study permit, to landing in Canada, to questions asked my border officers to how I got accommodation in Canada. Just everything about me and this Canada and I will include my experience with Lagos state neighborhood security how I got arrested by them the night to my medical screening. (Actually that arrest was a blessing in some way. If I wasn't arrested, I would have missed my returning flight to PH). I will gist una everything make I just enter Cana first.

I think I will also create a video of myself in Canada becos one clown here who claims Canada issues Permanent Study Permit said that the approval portal I posted here I got it from the internet. He also claimed that it is impossible to submit your passport for visa stamp and get it within 5 business days because I said I submitted mine on Monday and got it on Friday. But thank God another person on this thread said his own was ready for collect within 5 days.
The clown knows less or nothing about Canadian study permit. He started attacking me because I said throughout my application process I employed the services of ChatGPT and not an agent. He got bitter I will spoil his work because he is an agent. I discouraged people from using agents and he got mad.

PS: I do not reply to pms. Anyone that will chat you privately claiming I am the one is a scammer.

I thought you said you got the transit visa already. What if the visa on arrival is refused in dubai?
AbelAbdul:
Can you tell us the condition you saw there? On my end the condition I saw is that you have to get a long stop over in Dubai to qualify for the Dubai Connect and the Dubai Connect is subject to availability and visa eligibility.

Transit visa is on arrival. If the visa is refused, Emirates would notify you via your email before you even board the plane.

If the visa is refused, that means you won't be eligible for the Dubai Connect.

Good evening to you brother, please in respect of your advice, I'm also in similar situation. I graduated as a media graduate but specifically in Public Relations. Following what you just said, my goal is not just to study but to end up with PR. Kindly advice what course I can go for that can land me the promising PR please sir. I'll really appreciate.

amnotapervert:
Master's in Media, Marketing, or Advertising? Hmm... what is your end goal for studying in Canada?

Do you simply want to earn a master's degree in Canada, or is your goal to get an education, work for a few years, and eventually apply for permanent residency (PR)?

If your plan is to work and then qualify for PR, I don't want to be harsh, but I do want to be honest with you. Media, Marketing, and Advertising are generally not programs that lead to jobs that qualify for many of Canada's category-based Express Entry draws. As I asked earlier, it really depends on what you want to achieve in Canada...

I am not discouraging you from coming to Canada. I just want you to do more research on programs that could better position you for success after graduation, especially if your long-term goal is employment and permanent residency.

As for cheaper schools, "cheap" is relative. What is affordable for you may not be affordable for me. However, in general, for master's programs, Memorial University is one of the most affordable universities in Canada

If you're looking at colleges, some of the more affordable are College of the North Atlantic, Lambton College, Fanshawe College, Bow Valley College

so do small research by yourself ask queations here people that know more than me are here also do not set yourself up to fail in the long run PLEASE

Please what’s the probability of getting a job and being able to save up to $20,000 CAD within a year?

Please don't put yourself under unnecessary pressure. As a student working only 24 hours per week during the academic term and earning minimum wage, saving CAD 20,000 within a year may be quite difficult, in my opinion. I'm not trying to discourage you I just don't want to sugarcoat the reality.

As for your other question, it's best to ask your school directly. They will be able to give you the most accurate answer since every institution has its own policies.

Generally, you should be able to defer your admission while keeping your tuition deposit on file, but please confirm this with your school...
Thank you

You should consider targeting Social Services occupations when choosing a program.

In my opinion, you'll have a better chance of receiving an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence through Express Entry than if you pursue another master's degree in Mass Communication.

I am just being practical here. Some programs you could consider include:

Social Service Worker
Community and Justice Services
Child and Youth Care
Addictions and Mental Health
Developmental Services Worker
Behavioural Science
Community Support Worker

At the end of the day, everyone is free to make their own decision. I am simply sharing what I am seeing based on the current immigration and job market. If your goal is to study in Canada and eventually obtain permanent residence, these programs may put you in a stronger position than another Mass Communication degree.

Also, keep in mind that Social Services occupations is currently one of the category-based selection groups for Express Entry.

To the best of my knowledge, I won’t advice you to go for an IT course except if you’ve worked in the IT field after graduation, personally, what I would do is apply for a bio chem related course, then when i get to Canada, i can change to an IT course.

Secondly, post secondary courses are a no for me, even the VO would have a hard time understanding why you are going for it. Apply for the post graduate certificate or diploma, its really not that difficult to get.
What do you think about moving from physiology to electrical instrumentation and controls diploma course

Update after receiving my study permit approval (check my post history for approval testimony)

I arrived 27th December at Toronto Pearson Airport with my TRV to collect my study permit document at CBSA Checkpoint

Documents CBSA asked me to show them:

+ Letter Of Introduction
+ Letter of Acceptance from my college
+ PAL letter used in getting the study permit approval
+ Full Tuition payment of first semester receipt & deposit receipt from offer
+ Enrolment schedule of class for my Winter intake

Questions I was asked by CBSA after giving them the documents they requested above:

CBSA: You only paid first semester?
Me: Yes my college only allows us to per for a full semester at a given time
CBSA: Okay. Have you been refused study permit before to Canada?
Me: Yes I was the first time
CBSA: Why were you refused?
Me: I didn't properly show the source of funds for my financial documents
CBSA: Who is supporting your studies in Canada?
Me: My sister is my sponsor
CBSA: Where does your sister live?
Me: The US
CBSA: How long has she been there and what's her status?
Me: She has been there since X year and she is a green card holder
CBSA: What's her occupation and how much did she give you for your studies in Canada?
Me: She is X occupation and she gave me 45 million naira for tuition and living expenses
CBSA: How much is that in CAD
Me: About 40,000 CAD at the time of my application
CBSA: Have you been to Canada before?
Me: No this is my first time
CBSA: Do you have any family members in Canada
Me: No I don't have any family members in Canada
CBSA: Have you travelled to other countries for long term stay before?
Me: Yes I studied in Cyprus
CBSA: What did you study there?
Me: Medicine
CBSA: That's good. Why did you decide to pursue Biotechnology in Canada then?
Me: I decided I want to go into clinical diagnostics and Pharma in Nigeria after completing my studies in Canada
CBSA: Okay. This passport has a lot of pages is this the new Nigerian passport?
Me: Yes the new ones valid for 10 years have many pages than the old ones they used to issue
CBSA: Okay wait here for a moment
CBSA: Here is your study permit read the conditions and confirm your name and birth date. Check your permit expiry date. If you need to extended your study permit do so two months in advance before expiry. Let me know if you have any questions.
Me: Okay I have read it and all is accurate and I don't have questions.
CBSA: Alright let me stamp your passport and you can be on your way

This is the most grilling experience I have had for a visa haha. Funny thing is the two Asian students in front of me they didn't ask any of them any questions and they just handed them their study permit after seeing their acceptance letter pal and intro letter only.

Hope this can guide anyone that is approved for study on what to bring and questions CBSA may ask you. Good luck.
Good morning from your post I noticed you said you studied medicine and you’re now going for biotechnology (is it diploma?)
I wanted to ask if you stated it in your SOP that you studied medicine before because I studied physiology liked working with machines during my internship so I feel in love with the technology aspect and I’m interested in
Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology

Or Biomedical Engineering Technology
I was actually interested in this two
But I dont know if it will make sense to the visa officers
I can’t really even go for MSc because my BSc is 2:2 what do you think
Doesn’t make sense?

I used PayMyTuition.com and my US debit card (Grey, Cleva, Raenest, etc) to do mine recently. Lots of schools in US and Canada are on the PayMyTuition platform. Don't know if Seneca is partnered with them though.
