Peter Obi once advised them that there is no wisdom or sense constructing new roads when the old ones are in their worst state. They(APC supporters) called Peter Obi names including calling him Bitter Obi. The greatest enemy of Nigeria is an APC supporter.

Even if they don't construct new roads, CAN ALL EXISTING ROADS REHABILITATED SAME TIME?

Didn't they rehabilitate existing roads alongside new roads construction?

Did Oshiomole say this for posterity sake or for vendetta?

Didn't Oshiomole establish 2 new universities during his time as gov, even when Ambrose Ali University lack infrastructures?

Did Obi finish all the existing roads during his time as gov, before he started journey of Beer production?

Though it's good to fix bad roads but the fact that it's oshiomole saying this doesn't make the building of new road a bad one. How many internal roads that are bad that our governors are fixing. If government concentrate on fixing bad road alone people will still complain

Not withstanding there are many federal road repairs undertaking by this government

So oshiomohle u see how it feels when one leaves already made structure to rot rather than maintain them he go dey pursue fresh structures. Shebi oshiokomohle the importer of foreign women also accused Peter Obi of not building any school in Anambra and also tagged him a trader and importer of foreign goods that take away jobs from Nigerians. Every sane and reasonable adult understands the commonsensical concept of priorities. Except of course the person starts supporting APC blindly, and then common sense and basic logic becomes rocket science.

Benin to Warri is about 60 miles. Back in the days, the journey took about 45mins - 1hr. But in the last 10 years, commuters spend 2-3 gruelling hours driving between Benin and Warri.

When sensible humans advised that the sound thing to do was to prioritise fixing, or at least patching these existing operational roads first to make life bearable for millions of commuters, before proceeding to allocate trillions to brand new roads, supporters of the govt insulted us, saying we were enemies of progress.

Thank God we still have sensible people like Oshiomole who despite party affiliations, has refused to totally dump his common sense in the trash.

NUT commends Oyo over recruitment of 19,500 teachers

The Nigeria Union of Teachers, Oyo State, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde-led government for recruiting 19,500 teachers in five years.

The union, in a statement signed by the NUT Chairman, Oladimeji Raji and the Secretary, Salami Olukayode, noted that the appointment of 5,000 teachers in his first term and 14,500 since the inception of his second term into the state primary and secondary schools was noteworthy.

The union said the ripple effects of the recruitment were that it would address the problems of inadequate manpower in the education sector and promote teaching and learning.

The statement read, “Your disposition towards turning the tide of the education system of Oyo State remains unprecedented and unmatched not only in the annals of recruitment history of our dear state in recent times but also across the entire 36 states of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory.

Simple survey will indicate that cause of traffic 🚥 Is usually bad road. I believe each state is already interconnected. these roads have been dilapidated over the years due to poor maintenance culture. Why not use half of the money used to build these new roads and maintain the existing ones then use the other half and inject to the power industry or agriculture.

A reason I wouldn't want to take any Nigerian politician serious, even the opposition was share the same sentiments but guess what, overly emotional politicians and their supporters didn't bother to think every course of action through before hopping on the bandwagon.

This is qualitative representation.....not just to sit down in the red chamber and be collecting egunje

Is this not EXACTLY what I have been saying. But the deaf government and their slow supporters cannot seem to understand.

A woman is bleeding from a traumatic experience and she is insistent on fixing her nails first to look 'beautiful' in the theatre.

Pointless, grandiose projects when the main arteries of the country are in a sorry state. Highways of greater economic and human value that should be done first and best.

Attend to those first, stabilize them then you will receive natural plaudits and political capital to do your pet projects in your well deserved second term.

Most opinions are agenda-driven in Naija.

With all the money going to Edo and Delta State, Delta especially, they can go ahead and fix the roads then claim the money back from the FG. That's how it's done in many other states.

You can't keep watching your people suffer due to bad roads while waiting for the federal government when you guys don't even wait for FG approval when you recklessly spend your monthly allocations. Do you truly love your people?

From Nigeria's Federal allocations, Delta State consistently ranks highest, pulling over ₦649.7 billion cumulatively over recent yearly cycles backed by major oil derivation shares. They should be able to fix/repair every important roads in that axis.

This is one thing I love about Adam.

I dont know about other states, but the state of roads in Lagos is bad bad bad. Even VI that is supposedly the high end part of the state is in bad shape. Ozumba Mbadiwe has potholes, even the Lekki expressway too. Just awful.
