The love of Christ is for all men , young and old, rich and poor, not limited to race or colour. It doesn't care about your past or what you have done before, just come as you. When you are in Christ you have a higher purpose that transends self and that is something to long for. The beauty of Christ is the assurance of who we are, it is so refreshing in this world of confusion and disappointment.
John 8:12, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Jesus is who he said he is , we have seen and tasted life in Christ.

The Bible presents them as distinct, but with one nature/being. Think "source and expression" not "two separate gods."

Practical example:
Think of the sun and its light. The light comes from the sun, is not the sun itself, but is fully of the same nature as the sun. You can’t have sunlight without the sun. The Father is the source, Jesus is the Word/Son who reveals the Father. Jesus called the Father "my God" John 20:17.

So: The Father is God. Jesus is God the Son. Not 2 gods, but Father and Son in relationship.

2. Who gave Jesus authority and is that person not more powerful than Jesus?
The Father gave Jesus authority, especially for His mission on earth.

Verses:
- Matthew 28:18 — "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me."
- John 5:22, 27 — "The Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son... And he has given him authority to judge."
- Philippians 2:9 — "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name."

Is the Father more powerful?
In role, yes. In nature, they are equal.
Practical example:
Like a CEO and a COO. The CEO gives the COO full authority to run the company. The COO can sign contracts, hire, fire. The authority was given, but the COO isn’t a different kind of person. Jesus Himself said He only does what He sees the Father doing John 5:19. After His work is done, 1 Cor 15:28 says "the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all."

Short answer: 1 person died. The Son.

Practical example:
Think of a person who is Father, Husband, and Employee — 3 roles, 1 person. If the "employee" gets injured at work, the whole person is affected, but only the employee role was at that job site.
In Christian theology: God is 1 being in 3 persons: Father, Son, Spirit. Only the Son took on a human body and died on the cross. The Father did not become human and did not die. The Spirit did not die.
So: 1 person of God died in the flesh. 2 persons did not die. But it was God the Son who died, not just "a man."

- Colossians 2:9 — "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form."

Practical example:
The word "son" can mean different things. A president’s son vs. "sons of the country" meaning citizens. Citizens can do great things for the country, but only the president’s biological son shares the president’s last name, DNA, and right to the office.
Jesus is called "Son" because He shares God’s nature from eternity. The others are called "sons" because of relationship, adoption, or creation. Miracles don’t make someone God — Moses parted the sea, Elijah raised the dead, but they always pointed people to God.
