Speaking in the viral clip, Ebuka Obi said: “Invest in a fellow man there is possibility that he will remember. But when you invest in a woman, when she will remember you is when she’s in need again.

Men hardly forget. One day they will remember that this man helped them when they were in secondary school.

But women, if they meet another relationship, they have moved on. If she even see you in a vehicle, she will do like this (waving).

When a woman move, when a woman meets another man, she forgets everything you have done for her. But a fellow man cannot even forget easily.”

The comments quickly gained attention online, with many users expressing differing opinions on whether the cleric’s statement reflected reality or unfairly generalised women.

The video triggered mixed reactions, with some agreeing with the evangelist’s observations, while others argued that gratitude depends on an individual’s character rather than gender.

Reacting to the video, Ugoo wrote: “We might call this generalisation, but this is commonly true. Do something for a man today, it could be a favour or a gift, instantly, the man feels like he is indebted to you. Everything going on in his head is how he can better repay you, but I can’t say the same for women.”

Chinemeluma commented: “I believe he’s coming from the angle of people investing on their girlfriends, female friends and male friends. Because there’s nothing wrong investing on your daughter or sisters.”

Another user, Eby’s Lady, disagreed with the cleric’s position, writing: “It’s not true man of God. Investing in a woman it’s not only in a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. Women don’t forget who invested in their lives no matter where she finds herself period!”

Mazi Okwuoma also challenged the statement, saying: “This isn’t a gender issue, it’s a character issue. There are plenty of ungrateful men who eat your money and act like they don’t know you, and plenty of loyal women. People just need to stop investing in the wrong individuals.”

EM added: “A man will remember who stood by him when he had nothing even 10 years later. Loyalty isn’t forgotten easily.”

There is nothing bad about investing on a woman who is very serious with you and is showing effort. Don't abandon your own life and purpose. If you are the only one giving and there is no reciprocity from her then it is a red flag.

Love and upgrade a woman at your own peril

Even if you invest in your daughter, sister or girlfriend, she will still forget you the man. Go and check statistics. One she marries, she's gone. She won't remember all the sacrifices. Better invest in a man. He will never forget you in a haste. He will forever somehow remain loyal and grateful. Though there are one or two good women out there, but 99% of women forget easily whether your girlfriend/wife, sister or even daughter. You're better off investing in a man.

I think the point is on ‘investment’

Spending on a woman at will is not investment. Can be said to be enjoyment or charity.

Investment he might mean could be training a lady in school/university with the hope of marrying her
It could also be opening a business for her with the hope she’d marry you

Not all women forget oh, but most feel entitled.......For those mugus wey dey train women thinking say them go marry them, most end up being disappointed.......But that notwithstanding, make every person follow their hearts, but no fall mugus.

If you don't invest in women, you help them without ulterior motives.... unless you are married to them, you are wasting time investing.

Generally I believe this has to do with Character because there some women who don't forget... But there are many guys whose characters are bad, full of wickedness, ingrates and entitled as well....When you are helping them they see you as a fool, immediately they are on their feet they've start speaking I'll of you.

I told one the other day. Except you don't want to do anything with women which is impossible is where you're not working for them.
If you want to have s*x, you need them and you must spend. You want to have a companion, you need them and you must spend. You want to start a family and have children, you need them and must spend money.
For you to keep her and your children happy, you must continue to work hard and spend.
You can see all what we're working for is for them women.

With respect to the word INVEST I'm afraid he's right because you definitely should not expect it to yield any return.


It largely because most women feel they are ENTITLED to your resources while most men appreciate the very little things you gift them.

Do a man a favour or invest in him, the next thing he would be thinking about is how to pay you and your family/children back graciously.


I can't count how many stories of how guys repaid a good turns. A guy can go extra miles for you just because you accommodated him for some period but you see for many women your effort is never enough. Though, ungratefulness is not a gender thing we have ungrateful men as well as ungrateful women but I believe is more common with women.

Conclusively,women easily forget what good you do for them when they meet another person who does more than you did for them,it's their nature.
