What a match . The selection was better than the first match . Banda decided to be diving . Ucheibe and Abiodun in the midfield neutralize the Zambians ..what was the coach thinking in the first match playing only aged Ayinde in the middle . Our destiny is now in our hands . It appears the ref was out against Nigeria .maybe 🤔 CAF wants Morocco to win the trophy

Diavolo:
I think after this tournament a thorough technical assessment needs to be done. Some of the selections , personnel choice and tactics are head scratching and doesn’t show sound tactical acumen.
Which assessment? Can't you see the comments here? Everything is fine. Maiduguri is greatest thing since sliced bread. No tactical blunders whatsoever. Just clean beautiful football. 🤣🤣🤣
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Agbirra9:
This game ending 1- 0 in our favor still means our fate won't be in our hand, doesn't it? If we beat Egypt in the final game (regardless of goals scored) and Zambia beat Malawi by 1 goal difference but with enough goals for both sides e.g. 4 - 3, Malawi and Zambia will advance ahead of us.

On points, the 3 teams would be tied on 6 points. When 2 or 3 teams are tied, the matches involving the non-tied teams are excluded and you draw up a mini table involving just the tied teams. On points in that mini table all 3 teams would be level (we would have all beaten ourselves once each). Goal difference (in the matches among the 3 teams only) will all be 0. Goals scored (among the 3 tied teams matches only) becomes the next tie breaker and that will put us in 3rd place.

Zambia did not even have any clear cut chance playing against 10 men

The team was phenomenal!!! What a game!!! So much resilience from the ladies. Job well done to the technical crew as well.

Abeg o, pls what's the basis for qualification of teams are tied on points? Is it GD or H2H?
@Lovewins, Supernerd, Schemerkhiz abi na "Judasz".
Make Malawi just beat Zambia. That's all. A draw should see us through but the girls should be gunning for a big win. Flog Egypt like 5 -0
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 11:09pm On Aug 01
Worst case scenario: Zambia beats Malawi 1-0 then Nigeria must beat the wiping girls of the group (Egypt) by at least a 3 goal margin which is very doable. Any other scenario where Zambia does not beat Malawi, Nigeria qualifies by just beating Egypt.

But if FIFA uses head to head then we must hope Zambia do not beat Malawi or we score over 5 goals against Egypt.

When they lose it's all on the coach
When they win it's individual brilliance
Okay 🤣
Show me his tactical input then. I'll wait. I may not as intelligent as you.

I'm not saying madugu got it right but in the past nicole herself have sat in the bench while an attacking midfielder played in her position in past WAFCON
daveP:
Demehin and Alozie will not play vs Egypt. That means one of Isah and Ogbonna will step it. Once again, this man would have a lower bp if he just took Nicole along

Some heroes wear capes... Some just show up with a yellow armband.

agreed randy won us the game today hahahaha
AndSunGorilla:
You are wrong!!!!!
You didn't add the girl's determination , luck and the coaching from Randy.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 11:11pm On Aug 01
I will say this....

I look at Nigeria's defending today against a World Class Zambian attack and compare it to the way Malawi defended against us and I can easily say ours is better coached in defending if you minus the dirty nonsense rough plays that the ref permitted from the Malawians.

Malawi did not play football. They defended as Rugby players. Nigeria played football and defended as true pros. No need for dirty rough plays, just strategised aggressive and smart tactical defending.

semid4lyfe:
Very determined performance. And some peeps will have us believe there's no coaching input in this team? It is well.

Na God save us. Gosh we are terrible under the clueless Coach.
Haba now, fear God now. For the vast majority of the 2nd half, you couldn't even tell we were playing with one woman down, we even looked like the team more likely to score and you call that terrible?
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 11:12pm On Aug 01
Alozie is right footed. Why use your left to play free kick? 😂😂😂

The ref must be stvpid. More than 10 dives by Bambara but none was penalized. The stud on Joe went unpunished too.

Shey na Nigerian say make her team no qualify ni

If Zambia win ... Nigeria need to beat Egypt 3-0 to qualify

Calculators are now needed . Malawi should draw or win Zambia that is the best result for Nigeria . If Zambia beats Malawi by 2 goals we are out

Malawi - 6gls 6pts +3
Zambia- 6gls 3pts +5
Nigeria- 3gls 3pts +0
Egypt- 1gl 0pts -8

We need to beat Egypt silly by 7-0 and hope Zambia beat Malawi 1-0 so we can top the group.

We need to ask Madugu wetin Rinsola, Nicole and Ashleigh do to him at this point. Abi e dey look dem like ajebo or what. We needed Rinsola as starter tonight.

Anyways, surviving this red card, I'll cut some slack for the team. Im pissed at how disjointed we appear, especially for one two passes.

We are super lucky the awoof of the group is the last group game.

We just need 7goals. Cos Zambia is not Beating malawi above 3. Malawi is not Beating Zambia above 4. We should be 6goals ahead by halftime. Anything else is unacceptable.

Her team qualified ooo. She is Kenyan now. Kenya dey for Grp A. Morocco and Senegal have beaten them.

Thanks, if Zambia beats Malawia and we also beat Egypt. Would it be GD then? Cos in that scenario, all the 3 teams would somewhat have H2H. Forgive my rookie questions abeg.
