Can anyone recommend the top healthcare courses to study in canada that offer good job opportunities and can lead to a PGWP? I would appreciate recommendations for the best colleges offering these programs. Thank you |

Don’t over think this, so long as you have not exceeded your deferral limit (some school will allow 2 deferrals), they will give you. The reason you have stated already is valid (do not use ai to write this request). Amac93: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 4:42am On Jul 31 |
webalmond:Nothing is guaranteed. You know, context is really helpful for people to answer you well Things like your current job, your level of education, the course you studied, and your work experience all matter. Without that context, our answer might not be correct for your specific situation. Healthcare is a very broad field, so you need to do a little research to see where you fit in based on your background and interests. Also, good job opportunities are never guaranteed dont be like Badadvisor who did not do ground research before moving to Canada. Before you apply to any school, make sure the program is eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html Not every school or program qualifies Always check the Government of Canada website to confirm that both the school and the program you are applying for are PGWP-eligible before making your decision..... so in summary you need to do personal research you know yourself better than anyone there are over a thousand top healthcare courses so nothing like just picking anyone because we will not write the exam with you ...remember its still a school and you will be writing exam

Geetee111:why a one year program that gets only one year pgwp? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Alilory: 4:23pm On Aug 01 |
Good afternoon Please, I need your advice. I’m planning to start my travel process, and I want to apply for the Millwright Certificate program at NBCC, which is a one-year program. From what I understand, completing the program will make me eligible for a one-year PGWP. However, I’m concerned about my pathway to permanent residency. You mentioned that a person generally needs at least one year of Canadian work experience, but if my PGWP is only valid for one year, I’m worried that it may expire before I can complete the PR process. I would really appreciate it if you could help me understand how this works before I proceed with my admission application. I want to be sure I’m making the right decision. Thank you very much |

Alilory:Do more research. You are not ready yet. Don't waste your time with a 1 year pgwp program. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Predator188: 8:24pm On Aug 01*. Modified: 8:49pm On Aug 01 |
Alilory:If you manage to get study permit is too risky with that one year 1 pgwp unless on in demand occupation and luck is also on your side and you go through Province nominee program and least is 6months work experience in any province and if you are lucky and receive ita in pnp within short time after completing work experience and go though nomination process which takes from weeks to months to get nomination.. Even before study permit is elapsed if you apply for pgwp at right time, you will have maintained status, you can work full time before pgwp is issued, pgwp can take 3 to 6 months to be processed any work you did at this time will count towards Canadian work experience!! Plus 1 year pgwp. If you are not lucky enough or in the right place at the right time ,you will waste time and money with 1 year pgwp even with 3 years pgwp,PR is not guaranteed in canada.. Applying for pr through PNP non express entry, takes 6 months +8 to 10 days to receive AOR in case of BOWP and total of 8 to 9 months to process PR after submission for non routine application while EE is faster. |

Mavor:Long story short… The school discontinued the bonus program which an option to apply for another before the end of the said program. So back to my question, is $40k CAD enough Now IRCC has change policy to 6months All this social media influencer dey make am harder for us |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by AbelAbdul: 11:33pm On Aug 01 |
Geetee111:According to the new IRCC policy, you must; 1. Show POF (this covers one year tuition and living expenses) 2. Convince the VO that you can access the funds at any given time. 3. Show the source of the fund. 4. If your program is more than one year, convince them how you intend to pay for the other years without having to work in Canada. 5. Show 6 months bank statement. The new update further stated that the IRCC might request for additional documents support your financial status. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by AbelAbdul: 11:38pm On Aug 01 |
Geetee111:Social media influencers are not the ones making it hard. It's people who are submitting fake documents that make it hard. Since the common reason people get their study permit denied is POF, a lot of people have now resort into submitting fake POF. I watched a video where a lady paid an agent to generate fake POF for her and her study permit was denied. Some of these applicants do not know that IRCC can contact their banks to verify. |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 1:40am On Aug 02 |
Geetee111:The proof of funds is about $40,000 CAD, while your school fees are $21,000 CAD and the required living expenses are $22,895 CAD. That's very tight might be good but, in my opinion, not enough. Ideally, you should have a little more than $40,000 CAD around $45,000 CAD at a minimum, or $50,000 CAD if possible. Also, I would advise against choosing a one-year program unless you already plan to enroll in another one-year program after completing the first. If you don't mind me asking, have you confirmed that your school and program are eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 3:17am On Aug 02 |
Those students protesting in Alberta were from Portage College, and if you check, you'll see that the school is not eligible for a PGWP. Please, in everything you do, always make sure that both your school and your program are eligible for a PGWP. You don't want to spend $45,000 CAD on your education only for it to go to waste because you are not eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit. https://www.ctvnews.ca/calgary/article/calgary-international-students-say-post-grad-work-permit-refusals-leave-futures-in-limbo/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVkSJYhGOt8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lto5xiVB10Y

My application has been denied and it's around the assurance availability of funds, though the funds are in my spouses account which we are both signatories to. And I also paid full 1yr tuition. Available POF is around 115m. Long story short, I want to defer to January and do GIC to show VO that funds are readily available. Would this help? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Mavor: 9:26am On Aug 02 |
Geetee111:1 year pgwp is a very bad strategy except you intend to come back to 9ja. why waste the money? you can start a very good business in nigeria. you are still insisting on 1 year. good luck to you |
