PDPGuy:Not with this coach o . Last time he dropped gift Monday even when she was in top form . There is politics in team selection . |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Spainever(m): 4:54pm On Aug 06 |
Nigerians should thank Uche Kanu for scoring the last minute goal against Malawi , that goal qualify us ahead of Zambia . |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by camri: 5:05pm On Aug 06 |
This is not fair this is not fair. Caf should come and explain. A team scored eight goals in the group stage doesn't qualify. But a team that scores less or equal number of goals qualifies based on comparative goals scored. This is sad. Justice for zambia |

JohnBullMySon:Comfort Erhabor? Fatima Oloko? 😑😒👽 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 5:55pm On Aug 06 |
camri:It is fair. Rules are rules, it was there before the game started. But Zambia failed to do their homework. Their oyinbo coach and her crew didn't even know the qualification criteria, they were celebrating, wasting time during the game just because they didn't know the criteria, after the game, they still celebrated. What is that, if not incompetence? Yet some people want us to believe the oyinbo coaches can do no wrong. |

AndSunGorilla:Not many people got the memo about the rule change,eg, the commentator for Nigeria vs Egypt As he Dey talk shame just wear me isiagu But this does not excuse the Zambian FA and The team officials and even CAF The onus is on you to find out what the rules are and follow them Yellow card accumulations, suspensions, qualifying scenarios and tiebreakers You can’t fault the rule for existing and you can’t blame ignorance |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Samueltemi337(m): 6:00pm On Aug 06 |
AndSunGorilla:I really laughed when I saw them celebrating after the match 🤣 Even Malawi didn't know too |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Kikelomogbenga: 6:11pm On Aug 06 |
Abiodun should go for a back massage for carrying this team. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 6:27pm On Aug 06 |
Samueltemi337:Remember how they were hyping the Zambian coach too. Coach who couldn't exploit a player advantage for almost 1 hr and didn't even know what was needed to advance. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 6:28pm On Aug 06 |
Unlimited22:Exactly. |

The rules are unfair. We don't need it to happen to Super Falcons before we see it is Meanwhile who was that fine babe with JOE in the stands. Saw her dancing in our dressing room again. |

Just a gentle reminder 📣 The Super Eagles of Nigeria 🇳🇬 missed out on qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany 🇩🇪 because of this same head-to-head tiebreaker rule. Heaven didn't fall, and there was no politics behind it. Both Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Angola 🇦🇴 finished level on 21 points in CAF Group 4, but Angola secured qualification due to their superior head-to-head record against the Super Eagles. Nigeria lost 1-0 away to Angola in Luanda before playing out a 1-1 draw with Angola in Kano. Overall, Nigeria scored 21 goals and conceded 7, while Angola scored 12 goals and conceded 6. Under a standard goal-difference system, Nigeria's superior goal difference of +14 would have seen them finish top of the group. Final standings: 🇦🇴 Angola - 21 points (+6 GD) ☑️ 🇳🇬 Nigeria - 21 points (+14 GD) ❌ However, because FIFA applied the head-to-head tiebreaker during that qualification campaign, Angola qualified for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, while Nigeria missed out. The rule is not new, and there is no politics behind it. Ignorance of information is not an excuse 📣 Dear Zambians 🇿🇲 , please take health.. We all sympathise with you all 😂 |

Kikelomogbenga:Very fine player, abiodun is what the super Falcons lack in the first game, I wonder why the coach did not start her in the first game. |

daveP:There's nothing unfair about a rule that has been in place for close to 2 decades now ... The blame should be on the technical team of each Federation for failing to properly interpret the rules to the players.. African teams have a history of having poor technical crews...like in 2006 when this same head to head rule denied us a world cup ticket... Let's not forget the cases of Nigeria and South Africa fielding ineligible players because they couldn't verify that the said players were suspended due to accumulated yellow cards... |

The left side of the draw is too tough I really don’t see the girls winning this competition due to on & off the field antics that could unfold as well as Madugu’s tactics/input If Madugu can somehow get us to the final Please they should let this man coach the girls in the World Cup because he earned it Even though I may not like the way they’re playing I feel for Morocco & CAF😂 Thé plan was to obviously see Nigeria, South Africa win their groups and at the other side of the draw ![]() |

Danielnino00:This is 2026. The rule is retrogressive and should have been done away with. What does CAF mean by the result against Egypt will not be used in deciding the teams that qualified from the group? Was Egypt in the group or not? Does any other confederation...UEFA, CONCACAF, AFC, CONMEBOL, OFC use this tie-breaker rule? Therein lies your answer. |

semid4lyfe:You're aware that this same rule was in place at the 2026 WorldCup? I actually like it, it ensures you have to be on your toes all the time, not just hoping to put in a bucket load of goals against very weak teams. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Danielnino00(m): 7:58am On Aug 07 |
semid4lyfe:It isn't even a CAF rule...it was introduced by FIFA.. and yes, it's very much being used by FIFA itself and it's confederations |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Spainever(m): 8:33am On Aug 07 |
Justice505:The coach gave Malawi the win through poor selection . The coach does not know the players ,hence gambling with team selection. Malawi so lucky to qualify ahead of Zambia |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by camri: 10:13am On Aug 07 |
semid4lyfe:God bless u my brother. If you could exempt egypt from the equation, why invite them to the competition. Did zambia scored six against an empty net? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by camri: 10:18am On Aug 07 |
ekehopp2:the weak teams brought eleven men not five men and you were able to maneuver your way to beat them |
