GMBOFASIA:
This Cameroon team is well drilled and physical
No they’re not…. We are just badly coached so it’s very easy for them to defend.

We haven’t passed around them, haven't made them to chase the ball, haven’t made them to back-pedal, no combination plays… And every time we get the ball, we just hoof it up to no one or 1 person who is marked by at least 3-4 people.

You can see, each time we actually pass around, especially in front of their “D” or do cut-backs etc… we always force their GK to make a save… unfortunately we rarely do those.

I dont even know if Rinsola's sub out is due to a knock or whether it was some sort of tactical change.

What if I told you, Rinsola Babajide hasn't even been as bad as many are portraying her thus far? I'll return with my observations of the game after it's over. I just hope we can pull a rabbit out of a hat and win this, but whatever happens, it is what it is.
If you “Told” us that, then you’d be absolutely WRONG!
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Spainever(m): 6:50pm On Aug 09
Ajibade working hard providing different assist for goals. We are not clinical enough ..Cameroon had just 1 shot on goal and that was the goal
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Spainever(m): 6:51pm On Aug 09
Which site can someone watch this game abeg ? My link no more working
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:51pm On Aug 09
Okoronkwo is needed in a big game like this but I would love to see how Madugu introduces her in tandem with the other tools we have on field to turn the game around. The Cameroonians have sat back after their goal.

If this coach is serious, this is the first thing that should be corrected at half time.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by elyte89: 6:51pm On Aug 09
Ironically, dis is super falcons best half so far ..Cameroon should thank their super keeper 👍
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 6:51pm On Aug 09
That referee is an idiot!!! How can u blow for half time when the ball is alive!!!!
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 6:51pm On Aug 09
Nigeria was attacking ffs

TheSuperNerd:
Okay, so looking at the chances we have created, we need to do more to get past this Cam GK. She seems in Buffon mode today. Or Nadine Angerer mode.
She is not even good from what I have been seeing place the ball properly I am not sure she can dive properly
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dannyxy(m): 6:51pm On Aug 09
Echijene has wasted two good goal scoring chances.

They were easy to score
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Nomyth: 6:51pm On Aug 09
Cameroon is really not playing anything just that the Falcons have lacked the killer instinct.

No she's not. She's dropping deep which is just unnecessary in this game. repeated poor positioning and dropping to the wings for no reason.

Esther also drops deep and can play false 9 well. Better still she knows how to receive crosses and passes in the 6.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dannyxy(m): 6:52pm On Aug 09
And I don’t understand did the referee stop an attacking move like that?

Ref ended the first half before the expiration of the added time
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by CornOak(m): 6:52pm On Aug 09
Our World Cup qualification at stake.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:53pm On Aug 09
5 shots on target. 2 of them labelled as big chances.

We have been all over them but we have to turn this into goals.

Echegini hasn't had a good game so far. She might turn out to be the game winner, who knows.

We are witnessing greatness ladies and gentlemen. Maiduguri is about to make history. First Super Falcons coach to miss out on the World Cup. 🤣🤣🤣

She looked so. I guess her lack of pace made her look so. She had opportunities of beating her opponent with pace but hell no. The Cam lady always catch up to Nick the ball away. Unlike the captain that always leave the opponent behind.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by ThePresenceWtf: 6:55pm On Aug 09
Looks like there would be no World Cup for these lots….. all because of incompetence! SMH

Hope they turn it around tho…. Just get a World Cup qualification… and I couldn’t care less about the rest of the tournament ( This outing has been an eyesore and frustrating one…. Haven’t enjoyed any single game in this tournament and I’ve already checked out)

Then Sack everyone of this clueless coaching staff and those who appointed them.

We both noticed the same issue. If she is dropping deep, it should be some sort of interchange with JOE moving ahead. She is dropping deep probably because Joe is not connecting the midfield to the attack.

You will hear the coach after the match " we go back to the drawing board " . The Cameroon team didn't do anything spectacular they took their set pieces very well.
