To even have the chance to battle this stressful path to a WC Ticket, Nigeria gotta stop SA on August 13.

CIV vs Loser of Ghana/Malawi will battle for the other CAF spot to the Preliminary Playoffs.
Wow this Aug 13, all in Morocco? Wow just in 4 dayshuh Hopefully we make the WC playoffs. It's not going to be easy, the Ivorians are very good.

You guys should stop with the August 13 playoff date. The way I read it I mentally assumed it was at least 2 months away only to realise it's just in 4 days. Abeg just say Thursday.

So Madugu still handles our game on Thursday then.

So let's hope and pray.

South Africa has been poor though all tournament so we should win.

Sad day for Nigerian football. The U20 boys also lost 1-4 to Burkina Faso.

Before this wafcon began, i tipped Morocco favouritism to make them win no matter what we do. If only i knew we would press the red button ourselves without need for them to use ojoro to edge us out.

We should finish that play off in the 1st half.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 9:32pm On Aug 09
The u17 team that shoot from anywhere..... Nigeria problem is from the grassroot ...the thing i blame madugu for is he could have give the team more depth by dropping the likes of Isah , Ogbonna , imuran , ordega
daveP:
If anything at all, based on the "handlers" of the female cadet teams this same passes problem is there since 2022. Same long balls trope for u17 and u20. There was some difference with the Moshood/Harmony set though.

A Wafcon Final Four without the Super Falcons for the first time.

Negative history but history all the same.

Wafcon 2028 should be more interesting.

Nigeria problem is from the grassroot....you don't expect a national team coach to start teaching professional how to complete a five yards pass or how to control a ball

Sober reflection

Cheer up girls. We got a game this Thursday against South Africa

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 9:43pm On Aug 09
We have no business thinking about this path if we dont win on the 13th.

TheSuperNerd:
The path is long.

Preliminary Intercontinental Playoffs first involving 2 CAF Teams, 2 AFC Teams, 1 conmebol team (low ranked) and one OFC team.

2 advance from that to the final Intercontinental Playoffs to join 4 teams drawn bye.
These 4 teams will include 1 conmebol team (higher ranked), 1 Uefa team and 2 concacaf teams.

6 teams, 3 single K.O. games... 3 WC Tickets.

Yes, that's part of the blame. Their intro was even suspicious. Chioma Olise deserved a spot and if anything at all, one cadet play should be the 26th.

But that's just 1/16problems with Madugu overall.

Na him choose them. Na still him no use them. Which means high chance that even if na better players he use swap them, no guarantee he go sabi utilize them to his own advantage in the first place. They were "Mark Attendance addition. I for add Oloko but she's a good GK I won't lie.

Isn't it a shocker that the Puppet and Puppet Master Method has so infatuated the NFF as regards appointments that they rather self destruct that take a risk to upgrade from the norm?

Because say two oyinbo surround am no mean say e guide.

As for grassroots, we need actual ex-Falcons at the helm, not men like Olowookere and co. Let the legends with the CV get those jobs. It will be way helpful than all these handlers.

Its not hard to spot a handler.

Going forward, we really need to beef up this team with the likes of Plumptre, Okeke, Nicole Payne, Flourish Sebastian etc. I don't mind going after the U17s and U20s and quality foreign borns.

It has become grassroots problem finally 😂😂

Worst ever WAFCON performance….

Falcons just Dey swallow goals like Paracetamol 😂😂
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 9:53pm On Aug 09
For Plumptre and Okeke, it is merely a return.

Having analysed the team's age spread, where we need the biggest "beef up" is in attack (across the entire final third) and the fullback positions. CB role is another coz Ohale is gonna go and we cant have Demehin and Oladipo as the only reliables or a makeshift Ucheibe who is naturally a midfielder.

I have said this already.

Truthfully Demehin and Oladipo won’t be the Solution that the CB issue….

The team need at least 2 fresh and solid to come in and should be U25! Not your favorite Sikiratu Isah.

Chiaeeeee Left Back🤦‍♂️

I’ve seen how you wear Ohale’s jersey anytime Madu’s name is called on this thread. And sometimes justly. So one thing we’re not going to do is try to absolve him of any blame here especially when it comes to that.

It’s not the coaches job to teach them how to complete a 5 yard pass but it’s his job to tactically immerse the girls on when and when not to make certain types of passes. If you see them hoofing balls instead of making simple passes to each other, that was the plan. His plan.

So that talk about grassroots no gel at all. Which of those players on the pitch today don’t play in a top international club? Now would they play in those top clubs if they can’t make simple passes? You think Abiodun or JOE or Rash or Christy play gung-ho football in their respective clubs? Abeg abeg

Grassroots una. Better off that defenders jersey and face your coach this time
