It is not entirely about the Northerners but about the destructive religion of Islam they engage in. All these terrible tenets of the religion have been exposed by MS Baba and Evangelist Noah Ezekiel. A lot of others ex-muslims too have confirmed the evils in the religion.

Why are you all complaining? 😄 The word infidel simply refers to someone who does not believe in a particular religion. In that sense, we are all "infidels" from somebody else's religious perspective. To a Muslim, a Christian is a non-believer, just as a Muslim is a non-believer from the Christian perspective, and the same applies to other religions.

That said, I agree that the Sheikh was reckless with his choice of words, especially given his open support for a particular political party. He could have made his point without using such a provocative term.

As for politics, honestly, it's a dirty game. Religious leaders should be very careful about getting directly involved in partisan politics. Their role should be to advise, correct, guide and speak against injustice, regardless of which party is involved. Once they openly become partisan, people may begin to see their religious message through the lens of politics.
