PDPGuy:If we didn't miss those two, we would've done what Morocco is currently doing at Fifa World Cup level. Rhythm killed. And had both Afcon titles in the bag |

Michealy will have to perform excellently at 2 WWC to be seen as better than Nnadozie abeg. What she did is not new. One reason I'll continue to hype Tochukwu Oluehi is what she did to win us that title in Accra vs South Africa that year. That is bigger than what Michealy is currently doing. But Michealy has potential to dominate the spotlight even better than Dlamini and co. I mentioned this problem with Nnadozie in la decima but winning madr many feel i was overreaching. All are elite But Nnadozie, as far as caf gks are concerned, is in a class of her own all by herself. That's why her form is even more annoying and embarrassing. For all its worth, Comfort and Fatima better be ready to fill in. Na one game we take know Nnadozie. Na one game we take recognise Michealy. The duo better get ready. No time for jellyfishing. As for el capitano, i feel for her sha. But that's responsibility. This armband arrived due to issue with leadership that year. Make she gbe bidy sha. |

Schemerkhiz:Here is why I call it for Malawi, the Cameroonian defense doesn't look like they can cage the Chawinga siblings and their attack seems blunt somewhat. Buy whoever wins, well deserved. Meanwhile stadium no go empty so for final? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Mecka: 3:47pm On Aug 13 |
Schemerkhiz:did you remember wafcon 2004 when the falcons defeated the lioness 5 0 in the final . Perpetual Nkwocha, vera okolo starred in that competition. Mercy akide had stopped firing and a new kid was on the block |

daveP:The three O’s with Okobi behind reigned supreme from 2014 - 2016 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 4:01pm On Aug 13 |
Mecka:Mercy Akide had not lost form then and was still the best striker for the falcons at the time. She scored some of our few goals in the Olympics but still was dropped. So we played that tournament without our most renowned player at the time but that was the birth of Perpetua Nkwocha (first of her name), who would then go on to reign for the next decade. |

yinkeys:I see the Malawians scoring at one goal, because the explosiveness of their forward line dwarfs whatever Nigeria and Morocco presented at this tournament. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 5:17pm On Aug 13 |
Mecka:Nkwocha wasn’t really a new kid though, she got the chance a little late unlike the likes of Mbachu who started with the team much younger…! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 5:20pm On Aug 13 |
PDPGuy:I guess is the SuperFalcons team have the fire power of the Malawian Sisters upfront the push and start football that PHE teacher was trying to coach the SuperFalcons team would have worked at least the Chawinga Sisters have the Pace and power… Countries like Angola, DR Congo have such players as well they better find a way to build their team around them as Malawi have done with theirs..

AndSunGorilla:Hmmm. But if Gusau goes, how will your husband's job as Super Falcons coach be secured? Gusau and Sanusi put him after he successfully sabotaged and snitched on Randy afterall. 🤭 |

Nkwocha's first tournament with Nigeria was the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Followed it up with the 2002 Wafcon (Formerly AWC). She was no new kid in 2004. I recall Akide could not partake in that Wafcon 2004 because she and most of the other main players just came off the 2004 Olympics campaign so they skipped the Wafcon which was weeks later. Mecka: |
