I think Berrada has responded to Carrick's comments - he advised that the club is looking to bring in the right players and not just for the sake of making signings.

Hopefully we don't get to a point in the season where lack of adequate transfer activity would come back to hunt us.

The resources on ground should be enough to dispatch the likes of Hull convincingly.

14 home wins and 10 away would give 72 points atleast . An additional 8 should be enough for a credible title challenge.

We should be looking to ensure that the Hull game is part of the minimum 10 games we win away from home.
If only Mount's leg wasn't make of glass, he really offered pace and energy partnering Santos in midfield. But las Las Carrick selections will play a big part in how well the team plays next season.

"We finally found deficiencies in the team". E pele o.
Deficiencies wey we don dey call out since before 2017. Lmao!!!

Anyways you real fans should start praying that this team somehow finds a way to lock in when the season starts proper next week because if it is like this we will be playing 2026/2027 then I will not be showing up

The performance was too bad. The players played like total strangers who were assembled to play together.

It is well. Let's hope we can fraud our way to something worth celebrating at the end of the season. They should just finish top 4. That one is always non-negotiable for me
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TrebleChamp(m): 7:20pm On Aug 15
Board should do quick and sign 11 new players, so we can overcome deficiency next season...

I am not sure Carrick sees Dorgu as a LB. As per what we saw last season, it appears Carrick wanted to play cautious and safe and Dorgu at LW seemed like a good decision to him.

TBH, I think Dorgu should be starting ahead of Shaw at LB.

Lets see what happens this season
Dorgu ahead of Shaw? What are you seeing?
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nani667: 7:55pm On Aug 15
Lack of Signings or "Deficiencies" is no excuse for the shambles we displayed today... That team should have been more than enough to dispatch that AC Milan team, taking that manner of humbling from Scamorim is unacceptable.
Hope Carrick is not a low-key fraud sha

I can’t be the only one who has noticed, but tielemans looks match unfit.

I didn't want to mention it since it's still early days.

Carrick and the coaching staff have to get the boys up to speed before we take on Hull City.

I don't think our team is good enough to beat Burnley or Wolves, we might need 11 new players to do well next season.

You might be right about Tielemans fitness because he joined the team late in pre-season, but all the players except Lammens had a terrible game today. Cunha and Santos were largely missing in the game, you would wonder if it is same team that played PSG and Leeds with high intensity and good passing. Guess we will find out the level of deficiency after the Hull City game...

Yes, Dorgu ahead of Shaw at LB if Carrick feels Dorgu has to be in his starting 11 by all means.

His technique might be poor but i think he is more attack minded and would be more suitable vs low block teams especially at OT.

Anyway, I believe we can still use academy boys.

carrick can develop Fletcher sons, Lacey, Amass and the rest. We are going for the EPL.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa:
The performance was lethargic and the energy was low.

Not sure we can even draw at Hull if we play the same way.

No excuses o

Omo, Amorim boys on social media are out in their numbers. On top friendly game? All of a sudden, they forgot the woeful performances of UTD under Amorim and even the fact that this is his first win with AC Milan. Issokay!

I thought I was the only one that noticed o

Lmao

It is a bit worrisome that our last preseason game ended in a heavy defeat/poor performance tbh.

Was hoping that we would approach the HULL game in high spirits and elevated confidence levels.

Dunno but I think this result has kinda put us under a little bit of pressure.

Fingers crossed

We have to sign 11 new world class players as always to beat Hull City, the board should be fast about it....

It seems to be the most convenient excuse...albeit an illogical one 98% of the time.

If we need new signings to beat Hull, we might as well pack it up and sell the club

People here acknowledged the improvement in the team performance during the previous pre-season games, and said we may need 2 or 3 new player to make the team even better. But seem the board is not ready to meet Carrick demand. I have no worries going into the new season, Carrick qualified us for CL without Santos, Tielemans and Trashford so i am looking forward to same or a better achievement next season. Carrick should sha be bold and unbiased when selecting his team on match days..

Pep saw the future like all of us and ran away. 🤣🤣🤣

He knew this City side is quiet weak and can't get all the kind of top quality players he'd have wanted in one transfer window and rightly bolted. Bad guy. 😂😂😂

I dey tells you. This Shitty side despite the addition of Anderson looks so ordinary and clueless. If they continue this way, they'd struggle to make top 4.

This Anderson so far has looked average, but it's too early to judge. I'll assess him fully by middle of the season.
