sheedy407:Pay for what? Is the UK government aware of this payment you speak of? If someone does not have entry clearance granted, then they need not concern themselves with e visa. Once again, e visa is free. Simply means electronic visa and again there is no additional payment. |

You don talk you own. I just simply explained what i did this month and what every other persons did. If you don't have have an e-visa account, you will be asked to pay for it to be linked to your account and the amount is N28,250. Weather Uk government is aware of not, i am not aware of that giselle237: |

sheedy407:You have been scammed. Please send an email to UKVI so that they are aware of what Nigerian VFS is doing. |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 5:39pm On Aug 14 |
sheedy407:It is. Please do not forget to send a complaints email and file it online as well to the Home office. They need to be aware of what is happening. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Nysckits: 9:45pm On Aug 14 |
giselle237:Please do you know the proceedure to create it and must it be created now or after a visa has been granted. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 12:11pm On Aug 15 |
Nysckits:If you get the visa, then you can create but also they are still sticking passport pages with the physical visa and you will not be denied boarding in 2026 with this. In a nutshell, just wait until you get the visa as you have no need for an evisa account if you don’t have a visa. The process is simple. https://www.gov.uk/evisa/set-up-ukvi-account |

sheedy407:Please delete this misleading post. Applicants can set up their UKVI account and link their digital eVisa to their passport by themselves for free. There is no cost or fee required to create the account or link your travel document. Below is amendment to correct the above. Some nairalanders pointed it out that VFS do charge £15 to help create UKVI account and link visa. |

Hello good day everyone. A big thank you to everyone who is contributing and helping with information thank you so much for your big heart, support and kindness. Please I need help as I am confused. My situation is this I am currently married and my husband is in the UK. He is on indefinite leave to remain yet to get his British passport he has been in the UK for 20 years We just got married last year and he is supposed to file for a spousal visa. But he was self employed and his account was not all balanced to use. So he recently got another job. Now with a new job home office requests he submits one year pay slip instead of the usual 6 months because it's a new employer. Now we decided that I should visit because waiting for the entire one year is too long so now i will be using my account. I am just into business my business is registered with CAC, I will have to show up to 10 million in account for 6 months. He will be responsible for my accommodation and feeding when I visit I will be responsible for traveling and other expenses. Do I need to file for tax certificate. I don't earn so much. We are just an average family. My travel history is that I studied in the UK for my undergraduate and masters. I returned to Nigeria after my studies in 2014 and have not traveled since then. I don't mind visiting first coming back before I finally relocate to be with my husband How do I go about applying for a visit visa? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 4:31pm On Aug 16 |
@ladyblessed Will be very difficult for you as the route they expect you to follow is the spousal visa route. He can visit you in Nigeria whilst you prepare all your documents. Your chances are low for visit visa. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Taal17: 5:36pm On Aug 16 |
giselle237:Wait, I think I know what may have transpired. When I did my biometrics this year, VFS did tell me about e visa and the need to create an account. They said they can do that for me at right at office and the charge is 20 or was it 30usd. I said it's fine, I can do it on my own |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Taal17: 5:40pm On Aug 16 |
sheedy407:I do think it was a scam. Here in the US I was offered the same service at VFS and I declined cos I could do it on my own. It is important though that VFS Nigeria tells people or directs them on how to create their ukvi account themselves |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Daberechi376812: 8:22am On Aug 17 |
Ashirioluwa:There’s nothing misleading on the post. When you go for biometric at VFS, they will ask you if you have an account to link your evisa when it’s granted and if you say no they will tell you that they can help you to create the account for you at a service fee of 28,000. If you want their service and you agree then you can pay the fee but if you can do it on your own then you can tell them not to worry about it and you will open the account on your own. Even on VFS website during appointment booking you will see the service as a paid service option at £15. Stop misleading people if you’re not sure of what you’re defending. |

My sister printed a 6-month bank statement that shows a 2.7 million naira opening balance and a 6.2 million naira closing balance. Is this account ok to support a 6-month UK visitor visa application? Her profile: She is employed, married, and has a child. She is applying alone. She is a first time applicant. Her estimated travel cost is £1180. Giselle237, cashmadam, hunee, and others who can offer assistance. |

Ashirioluwa:Its on the TLS website that they render the optional service for 15 pounds. its optional and not a scam. |

sheedy407:Sorry for my earlier post. You’re right concerning the UKVI account creation. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by OJURONGBE1(m): 4:58pm On Aug 17 |
sheedy407:It is not mandatory. I always advise my applicants to let them know that they will create an EVISA account and generate their share code after their visa has been approved. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by OJURONGBE1(m): 5:04pm On Aug 17 |
Ladyblessed:. I hope the Entry Clearance Officer will not interpret it as an intention to come and live in the UK. On the other hand, the fact that you have lived there before, complied with the conditions of your visa and returned home as required could work in your favour. |

Submitting application now for a wedding on September 17 not too late @cash madam Or gisselle & others pls I need your support |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 10:06am On Aug 18 |
Shanpelo1172:No, its not too late. You have a month so try. Good luck! |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 10:07am On Aug 18 |
Lamide123:It's fine. She should provide copies of all work related documents and of cos her statements of account.. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 10:13am On Aug 18 |
Ladyblessed:You can try. It's a 50/50. Your previous study in the UK might work in your favour. However, don't be too expectant as the visa officer might think you want to use the visit visa to enter the UK and then stay with your husband. I would advise that you try as you never know who God can send your way to favour you. Good luck! |

MiddyO:TLS still handles or it's VFS now? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Taal17: 2:35pm On Aug 19 |
Shanpelo1172:I'd say it's late. Would the wedding hold withoit you? Is this your first UK visa application? Have gotten a UK visa recently? You can weigh your odds and see how important this trip is for you |
