TheSuperNerd:Yes it is official! Cameroon's first Wafcon title is deservedly secured! 2004 Wafcon final - Lost to Nigeria 5-0 (Nkwocha hit 4). 2014 Wafcon final - Lost to Nigeria again 2-0 (Oshoala & Oparanozie) 2016 Wafcon final - Lost as Host to Nigeria again 1-0 (Oparanozie again) 2026 Wafcon final - No Nigeria in the final... 3-0 lead vs Malawi (FT). Cameroon are Champions of Africa!!! Now Wafcon has 4 Champion teams in History.

Why did caf allow both teams to play in the colors they used today? Hard to watch for me, the shirts were too similar in my opinion. And abysmal attendance for a final just because Morocco didn't make the final. Abeg who are the hosts of the next edition? |

4 years ago, there was Desiree Ellis who led South Africa to win WAFCON. 4 years later, there's this female figure who brought Cameroon to claim the WAFCON title for the first time. Valentine Nguele was appointed as Cameroon's coach just two months before WAFCON started. Just two months of coaching and she's already delivered Cameroon's first WAFCON championship. And on top of that, she upset Nigeria in the quarterfinals too.

Our State FAs do not have the majority's interests at heart as they prepare to cast their votes in the upcoming NFF elections in September. Instead, they are after their selfish interests to fund their gigantic stomachs. How can Gusau and his cabinet vacate the glass house for good? Our last hope for now is legitimate intervention by the Government that will not attract FIFA's wrath, and I'll explain. 1. Cut off all funding to the glass house, as this will wreck the financial status of the Federation and leave them in a sorry state. We know financial stability is the bedrock of any functioning institution. FIFA does not have the authority to teach the government how to fund its Federation, so it'll turn a blind eye. 2. Open a case of corruptible practices against the NFF and watch how it will destabilize the Federation in all aspects. FIFA does not interfere when a federation is charged with corruption by the government. 3. Immediate seizure of all the NFF's properties and assets belonging to the government, including the Glass House. Yes, FIFA cannot halt this process if the government decides to initiate it. Calls on social media by supporters groups for the firing of Jorge Vilda because of Morocco loss to Algeria. They said he shouldn’t have been hired. Was an accomplice and supporter of the disgraced Luis Rubiales.

JohnBullMySon:Can Nigeria pay him up $250k annually? Then bonus as well cause this people sign professional deals oh not the back door way NFF are doing… Any I will prefer a Dutch or American Coach who will also prioritize the athleticism of the players as well.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 2:17pm On Aug 17 |
Spainever:I also do love the Cameroonian set up..! A qualified Ex-International as Head Coach with good Foreign Assistant Coaches including Match reader/analyst.. Did Madugu even go to the WAFCON with Assistant apart from Ann? and the goalkeeper Coach? Apart from the Swedish fitness trainer, who again? |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 5:00pm On Aug 17 |
Schemerkhiz:That's the life of a coach. You lose, you are out!!! To them, this is their worst showing of the last 3 wafcons, they silver twice and now, nothing!!! Who could imagine that Arsenal would sack Wenger or lowly Leicester that may never win the EPL again sack the only man to have ever done it for them, the next season right after the epoch-making title win , Claudio Ranieri. |

Alright... Time for that coaching upgrade. They better get this right now that Madugu and his big belle of "tactics" is gone. Olympics Qualifiers is not far off. October comes at us in 2 months+. |

And as for the women coaching position let us go get a former Nigerian international like say Omagbemi and give her the right support and facilities she needs and try to also involve or blend older senior female internationals to speak with the girls |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 12:02am On Aug 18 |
Schemerkhiz:I will be honest, while Madugu is gone, what is the way forward? Without a substantive NFF head, now that we are hearing about a committee, how can we sign a good reputable coach before October? They shouldn't go and bring Olowookere or Danjuma o. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 12:04am On Aug 18 |
isan:Agenda must agend. Of course when a coach fails,he should get booted out. But where in the world do you fire a title winning coach after winning a title? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 12:19am On Aug 18 |
AndSunGorilla:As we Speak the President of the Country is currently involved in all that is going on… Even the NFF sef wahala Dey!. If the likes of Desire Oparanozie cans co and come on things will certainly get better for the Women’s side… All them Aisha Folade na Bad eggs… They’re no longer who they used to be and some of the Ex-Internationals who are friends with the body.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 1:13am On Aug 18 |
Schemerkhiz:Abi na Eguavoen go coach in October ni? A coach needs to be appointed asap even if temporary till NFF leadership issue is resolved. October is here sooner than we know. |

Another competition is coming up from September 5-27th which is the U20 FIFA Women's World cup 2027 in Poland. Already the Ghanaian team are in Poland currently preparing and playing friendly matches to fine tune their team for the competition. It has all been silence from the Falconets team. |

Schemerkhiz: Spainever:Honestly 250k is not a lot of money. I was even thinking it's higher. Just our football that is mismanaged and undervalued. |
