What you studied in school in school is brought to bear, one way or the other, on whatever you do later in life.
Basically, school prepare us to reason out issues, resolve challenges, identify weak points and proffer solutions.

Actually, Nigerians destroyed Nigeria.

That includes GEJ (Saying that to wind this guy up well well) and obi.

Okay, here;s the scoop

At independence, we had a choice...develop the ability to produce industrial goods to meet global needs or just sell raw materials and share the money equitably while trying to live the life of a first world nation.

You can guess the road we chose...and that is why we are where we are.

It had nothing to do with a specific leader, because they are all responsible, along with NIgerians too.

Vote out tinubu though. It's time to try someone who would take us to what we should have done in 1960.

And it is the same thing that every African country did. That;s why no African country is a truly developed country. The ones that appear developed are borrowing to do so, or have small enough populations and large enough revenue to make living the life possible.

That;s why China went from having a gdp below most African nations in 1970 to borrowing to the same African nations today. They chose the hard way, we chose fake life, and our leaders perpetuated the lie from a to z.
They all contributed, but the GOAT of Nigerian destruction is BBAT aka Big BAT. Omorr, they are very cruel people.

LOL, okay, I do not support tinubu, but

1. Subsidy removal was the result of decades of subsidy spending with rising debt finally catching up with us. COVID 19 induced oil price drop was the final straw. It forced us to borrow way beyond what we needed, to the point that debt servicing went up.

Nigeria had no chouce

2. Also, removing subsides on the dollar was for the same reason.

Really, tinubu is just as bad as all your previous leaders. What makes him bad really is not the subsidy removal...it's the not fighting corruption, not producing a plan to get us off oil now now, and not raising enough revenue , and keeping the electricity sector strangled via a subsidy

Even NELFUND is just a bandaid on a large problem that needs major surgery and rehab.

Again the problem with your leaders is the refusal to allow our nation be a productive nation...which creates a growing problem that just adds and adds and adds up over the years. That's why we always say that this current leader is the worst leader we ever had, and then when he leaves the next one is the worst leader we have had.

Also, the times when revenue increases because of rise on oil prices, we remember them as good times. The problem is, that is not sustainable growth. And when the oil prices fall, wahala dey.

That's what I am trying to tell you guys, but you prefer sharing money to actual development. And that is what tinubu too likes...hence programmes like NELFUND, renewed hope sharing, grants, etc...which every government has done in the past. Actual development projects like giving cheap dollars to proven manufacturers, removing subsidy on electricity, actually fighting corruption, and so on are not done, because most of you do not want that.

It is wy Obi will not succeed if he is voted in because you guys will force that good man to make useless choices. ANd by you guys I mean every Nigerian, regardless of political view. Yes, all of you.

The other day someone was praising PDP not for creating jobs or for providing a means of sustainable economic growth, but for making the dollar cheap so that people could import pizza from abroad to consume. Which is what most of you want. I'm sorry, and yes, that includes tinubu supporters, who are backing their man because they benefit directly.

And the money coming from the proceeds of the removals, where are they today? Our undergraduates are now depending on loans to go through schools, 90% of the nation cannot eat twice a day comfortably anymore. Animals are now very much comfortable than human beings in my country now. There can never be another GOAT in destruction like BAT.

Are you practising what you studied in a school?

For me, I have a certification in management sciences and in computer science.

I'm currently more focused on the computer science as a full stack developer ...basically website development from the scratch ( SaaS, BaaS, Blogs, social media, banking etc), softwares, Andriod and iOS apps, UI and UX designs, telemarketing, and writing.

What about you?
Did for some yrs before moving elsewhere

LOL...the monies from the removals are not doing much because the government's overall revenue has not increased.

It does not matter how or when we remove subsidy, the goal of subsidy removal on petrol and eventually on electricity is to imrpove productivity in both sectors, which would stimulate growth in other sectors.

The painful thing is that we did not do these two things (and tinubu was forced to remove fuel subsidy because no money literally, and he refuses to remove electricity subsidy)...as far back as 1960. Had we done that, and done what we should have done, we would be in a better place today.

Your leaders, including this one, are not serious.

Life has a way of taking us down unexpected paths. I studied mass communication, but today I work as a process technician in oil and gas. It may not be the job I trained for, but every step teaches something new. And maybe one day I'll have the chance to practice what I studied. Until then, I'm grateful and committed to giving my best wherever I am.
