I used to be very uncomfortable with hugging and I still wish I can avoid it where possible. Mine came from my early background from deeper life church. A female cousin once pointed it out. However, with time I've learned to endure it seeing that it's a common thing around and I don't want to continue to be an odd one.

I'll give you an instance. Growing up my parents unduly restricted my going out and the question where are you going became symbolic of that restriction. Anytime anybody asks me that question now I get very angry.
