#Nigeria, this is the report of the @thenff’s fact-finding committee, set up by @IbrahimMusaGus1, to ‘examine’ why the country’s national teams are doing badly. I look forward to your comments. I have no comment to make.
Generic AI slop. These people have no morals.

Like what is this? No detail no actual events stated?

There's not much kanu could do about Enyimba.... Government owns the club ...you need good money to run a football club ..how many people wants to spend their money to watch enyimba play football every week ? When they sell players government take the transfer fees.
3SC is a government owned club too sha.

He in my opinion should be the next U23 coach. He's done enough through the years to be trusted with that role.

I'm also rooting for the Rangers Chairman Amobi Ezeaku as the next NFF chairman (of course I know the politics will make this unlikely). Should this happen our football will be the better for it.

I first came across him on one of these Instagram live football show a couple of years ago. He was in Europe at the time getting a FIFA Maters certification amongst many others since then. I remember him coming back to Nigeria and upon the request of the governor of Enugu state became chairman of Enugu rangers. He hasn't just implemented forward thinking reforms at the club, he's won them 2 NPFL titles in 3 years since he became chairman. Anyone who knows how difficult the Nigerian league is will know this is no small feat.

This is me just highlighted one of the very few administrator per excellence who has shown in their own little corner what is possible. Hopefully with more people getting to know of him, he'll hopefully be better positioned to take on a more consequential role in our football administration.
I wanted to respond to this bit forgot, but saw this again this morning so here we go.

I hope you know being a government run club has nothing to do with how poorly Eyimba is being run. Government run isn't even the appropriate phrasing for it, more like "government owned and government funded". They are however run by individuals who are supposed to be professionals but turn out to be incompetent.

Eyimba should be one of the most successful clubs not just in Nigeria but Africa. Asides the largesse in terms of funding they got from government during the Orji Uzor Kali era, they are also amongst the Nigerian clubs that have made the most money from CAF events and foreign exchange money from player transfer to clubs within and outside the shores of Africa. Sadly, administrators instead of investing back into the club corner the money and keep expecting money solely from government coffers to run the club. This has been the culture for decades.

I said all that to say being government owned or funded isn't the reason for the non-impact so far by Papilo. He just isn't equipped to do the job and sadly so. I once spoke about Amobi Ezeaku who has been phenomenal for Rangers (quoted it for context), another government owned and funded club. Interestingly Amobi and Kanu were appointed same time (July 2023) by clubs with about the same historical pedigree. The difference in 3 years is as far as the east is to the west.

Amobi being a master administrator has since won 2 NPFL titles for Rangers in a 3 year span, qualified the team for CAF events since 2023 and has garnered for rangers a lot of private sponsorships and funding all while being government owned.

Like someone also mentioned, 3SC of Ibadan is also going through same changes with measurable result under a year of so since they got new leadership despite being a Government owned/funded club. So let's not excuse the incompetence of people particularly our ex-internationals. If they are not up to the task, let them stop taking the job instead of constantly feeding us excuses.

🟦BREAKING: Reports indicate that NFF President Ibrahim Gusau and the NFF board have resigned.

The reported development comes amid mounting pressure on the leadership of Nigerian football following a series of setbacks and growing scrutiny over the administration of the federation.

The Super Falcons’ historic failure to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup is among the recent setbacks.

Official confirmation is still awaited. More details to follow.

Falconet's coach and his crew will be critically assessed for their performance at the U20.
If the team performs poorly, they will be shown the exit door.

The 1–0 win over Poland is a good result, but let’s not get carried away. 🇳🇬

The Falconets still need a lot of improvement, especially in finishing, ball retention and attacking efficiency. Winning is important, but at the World Cup, particularly against a team like Spain, Nigeria cannot afford to waste chances or rely on one moment of brilliance.

The girls showed fighting spirit and discipline, but the next step is to become more composed and clinical. We need better decision-making in the final third, quicker movement of the ball and more creativity going forward.

A win is a win, but this team must improve significantly before the real test begins. The World Cup will demand much more than a 1–0 friendly victory. 🇳🇬⚽
