Why not make today as the day you will give your life to Jesus Christ. Remember, everyone must surely spend eternity in heaven or hell fire; but those who accept Jesus and repent of their sins will make heaven. Give your life to Jesus now and keep today's date in record as the day you got saved. Simply say this prayer genuinely and in faith: "Lord Jesus, I am very sorry for all my sins. Please forgive me all my sins and come into my life right now" If you said the prayers above genuinely and in faith, you are now a born again Christian. Kindly read your bible and pray everyday: also attend any good church. |

Jesus is the only Way to eternal life. |
| Re: Have You Given Your Life To Jesus Christ? by lindqvistbergst(m): 9:40am On Aug 30 |
ebubeson:Eternal life. 🤔. So you want immortality not religion and if you want immortality technically cancer can get you that. Henrietta Lacks and her immortal cancer cells are still being used 70 years After death. See. A second way to get "eternal life" just not the way you want. |

If you love jesus so much. Then why do so few of you know his names? Im genuinely curious about that. Yeshua (ישוע) Yehoshua (יהושע) Iēsous (Ἰησοῦς) How come a man that doesn't believe in him. A man that is a complete atheist BUT a cultural Christian does. |

The same thing ive said in other topics. If Nigerian Christians love Jesus's then explain why they disobey him? For lying and saying culture is mandatory. Exodus 20:16. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. Proverbs 6:16 to 19. There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. Proverbs 12:22. The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy. Leviticus 19:11. Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another. Deuteronomy 4:2. Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you. Revelation 21:8. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. Forcing culture/religion and not respecting free will and consent. Philemon 1:14. But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that any favor you do would not seem forced but would be voluntary. 2 Corinthians 9:7. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 1 Peter 5:2 to 3. Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them, not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be, not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve, not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. Galatians 5:1. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Colossians 2:8. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. Deuteronomy 30:19. This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live. What the bible says about obeying the law. Romans 13:1 to 2. Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. Romans 13:5. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 1 Peter 2:13 to 14. Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. Titus 3:1. Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good. Now for "we dont sell our daughters" and then immediately "but you cannot marry her unless you pay and obey no matter if you consent to it or not" Genesis 2:24. That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Matthew 19:6. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. 1 Corinthians 7:23. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. 1 Timothy 6:10. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Corinthians 13:5. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. honouring your parents and how it does not mean blindly obey things you do not consent to especially in the context of how YOU CHOOSE TO START YOUR OWN MARRIAGE (weddings). Genesis 2:24. That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. Ephesians 6:1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Mark 7:8. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions. Mark 7:9. And he continued, You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions. Matthew 19:6. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. 1 Corinthians 7:36. If anyone is worried that he might not be acting honorably toward the virgin he is engaged to, and if his passions are too strong and he feels he ought to marry, he should do as he wants. He is not sinning. They should get married. The Ephesians verse is the trap. It says obey them in the Lord. Meaning obedience stops the second you demand something that violates the actual text against greed and extortion. Mark 7 is Jesus directly attacking the exact thing you are doing right now as a nationality. Setting aside actual commands to observe your own made up wedding traditions. And Corinthians makes it clear the decision to marry is on the couple acting honorably toward each other not on paying off a father/family. |

As a population.... You force culture and the bible says dont. You force religion and the Bible says dont. You say "legal or court marriage is not married only traditions are" again the Bible says thats wrong. The Bible says obey the law. The Bible says not put culture above the religion. As a country you put money above religion and the law. |

cutecommend:Talk is cheap. Do you support the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the unprovoked military invasion of Iran? If your answer is yes, take that bible and throw it in the dustbin. It means nothing to you. According to your 'Lord and Saviour Jesus'..... - "Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.". - Matthew 7:21 |

gohf:More evidence against "Nigerians being Christian" the Bible welcomes debate on the religion. This topic is telling people to accept Jesus. Im asking why so im doing exactly what the religion says by questioning it. Christianity is not Islam. The welcomes book what im doing. |
| Re: Have You Given Your Life To Jesus Christ? by gohf: 10:32am On Aug 30 |
lindqvistbergst:a relevant conversation like this should be started as a thread don't you agree? You listed a number of important things, a lot, in one post that many may like to take time and respond and see responses to. Christians have a believe system that's fundamental an error where they don't believe in the true Jesus that isn't God the son but God's son, and like you pointed out a number of their teachings and practices contradict what was written in the new testament. |

I did gave my life to "Jesus" - I was dumb then. I took it back. |
| Re: Have You Given Your Life To Jesus Christ? by lindqvistbergst(m): 10:33am On Aug 30 |
gohf:1 Peter 3:15 tells believers to "always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks", which presupposes the asking is legitimate and expected. Acts 17:11 praises the Bereans specifically for not just accepting Paul's preaching but checking it against scripture daily to see if it was true. That's literally scripture commending scrutiny of religious claims as a virtue. Thomas gets doubted but not damned in John 20, Jesus doesn't strike him down for wanting evidence, he just shows him the wounds. |

gohf:You failed to notice the distinction. Im not talking about Christians in general. Im talking about Nigerian Christians. In a Nigerian topic where a Nigerian Christian is telling people to accept Jesus so it is on topic. And im not even Nigerian. I just live in Nigeria. And a cultural Christian. An atheist not a believer its just Europe is mostly fecking Christian. And we are taught to question everything not being told "you must believe" |

Mattswaggz:Because it's a way of claiming righteousness without actually being righteous. You can be a person filled with greed, envy, tribalism, hate, scamming intent, or thirst for innocent muslim blood, and still say to yourself and to the world ''I gave my life to Jesus!'' That's your pass to iniquity.. |
