Nah. I think Santos is weak mentally. When the going gets tough, he’ll crumble. He can develop to overcome that weakness tho. Tielemans overcomes that issue with his experience.

IMHO the best midfield pairing is Baleba — Mainoo. Then Mainoo—Tielemans, next is Mainoo—Santos. A Tielemans — Santos midfield pairing will leak goals. They’re weak physically and are both prone to giving the ball away.

I said it last week that Cunha and Bruno were not fit. Today was better.

My observation

1, It’s apparent we need a new left back and a good back up striker.

2, Kobbie was solid with Tielemans, good to see their midfield pairing in the first game they played together is a success.

3, Cunha as a false 9 is a wrong experiment.

4, Shaw’s best days are fully behind him. We need to sign a solid left back ASAP.

5, We need to start games faster.

Good game but improvements are needed.

I think he needs to switch to RWF pending the return of Amad. Lacey should be the obvious choice here but it appears the manager doesn't trust him enough.

Mbuemo should be starting centrally till Sesko is fit and ready. The point here is that Mbeumo seems worse at RW than as a CF
