IRCC says you should have at least 22k CAD for housing and feeding for one year.

If you are not the type that eats too much, you don’t go out unless where necessary, you don’t party or club, you don’t have eyes for new gadgets and woman, you can survive in Ontario with less than 20k CAD for one year.

The whites here are nice people. Ever willing to help you out. Once they see you in a kind of confuse state the will come to you ask how they can help and some left their duty post to attend to you.
