Matthew was one of the twelve following Jesus up and down but Luke gathered his informations from other believers:

I resolved also, because I have traced all things from the start with accuracy, to write them to you in logical order, most excellent The·ophʹi·lus. Luke 1:3

The first account, O The·ophʹi·lus, I composed about all the things Jesus started to do and to teach. Act 1:1

So Luke's account was a third party account unlike Matthew, Mark and John who lived and worked together with Jesus in the ministry that's why his own records differ from that of Matthew! smiley
That's logical. However, isn't this a confirmation that the Bible is not completely accurate?

That Luke relied on eye witnesses account also raise another question - He didn't write what God inspired him but acted as a journalist

If that's how you want to put it at least we know Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for money which he never enjoyed.
That's the main point! smiley
That's not the point of my questions? I didn't ask if Judas betrayed or not. I just want a clarification about the accuracy of the Bible.

Baba don change tone to Islamic texts! You never explain how Luke lied finish since Matthew is correct!

And it is also a lie that the Prophet commanded the sun and moon to enter his pocket! I wonder were you dey see all this Luke-like lies!

So since Luke lied in this case, there should be many more lies in that book!

Same Book Paul claimed is God-breathed o in 2 Timothy 3:16.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness!

God-breathed contradictions and lies!

well someone investigated and probably found out that Judas didn't buy the field but those whom he returned the money to, who may have bought it in his name and claimed he bought it and died on it.
May be you are correct but I doubt. One of the accounts is surely not correct. Because Judas left immediately to hang himself according to Mathew. Luke account indicates that he didn't hang himself immediately but may be after weeks

The accuracy of the report matters especially as there were contradictions
If you want to investigate a matter is it the minor contradictions in details that you should focus on or the case at hand?
Four different individuals reported a case and each penned down what they are able to gather but they all concluded on the same point which is one prophet in Israel has proved to be the long awaited Messiah (Christ)
So the contradictions you pick on makes no practical sense as that's not what we want to know from the different writers.
Luke gathered what he heard so since he is not one of those who walked with Jesus directly there will surely be some points his record will reveal not exactly as the record of those who were present during the event! smiley

Of course he was moved by Holy Spirit to act that's why some events that other writers missed were found in the account of Luke because he acted as a journalist who asked from people like Mary (Jesus' mother, James (Jesus' brother) and other disciples.
So we don't expect his account to say exactly the same thing in some cases. smiley

Accuracy of a story can only be assessed by the mouth of many witnesses who are in harmony regarding life of the main character not minor details! smiley

You'd need to know that none of the gospels were actually written by the apostles they were named after. And the earliest of them was written 70 years after the death of Jesus. It is hard remembering in detail incidents that happened decades ago. Even more so when the author didn't witness it but is writing based on narratives that were passed down.

The Bible is filled with such contradictions.
You are correct. Unfortunately, most Christians don't even know this

Islam literally pretends to reference the Torah and Injeel while at the same time fielding stories that directly contradict everything presented in both the Torah and Injeel.😒😒

He is wrong! All of the Gospels were written in the very first century, during the lifetime of Jesus Christ of Israel and His disciples. This is confirmed by the letters of Paul, which were all written before 70AD. That the copies we have today of the Gospels date back to a period supposedly after that time DOES NOT remove this fact. 😒😒

For instance, the copies we have of the works of Plato today date back to the period of 900AD. And we know that "Plato lived from 428/427 BCE to 348/347 BCE. He was born in Athens, Greece, and died in the same city". So, does this mean Plato was not the author of the books? Does this mean that Plato's books were written over 1500 years after his death? Of course not! No sensible individual would reach such a conclusion regarding any of the works of Plato. In the same way, it makes no sense to conclude that because the copies of the Gospel that we have today date back to a period that is about 100 years after the disciples, that then means the Gospels themselves were written 100 years after the disciples. That is literally nonsensical reasoning! 😒😒

The question is never about "betrayed".

Is the Bible contradictory? Logically, you are saying yes! The Bible is contradictory.

Iif the Bible is contradicting, then, why should I trust it?

Contradictory how? The Bible is a book of many books that contain two constitutional laws- the Torah and the Injeel- both from YHWH of Israel -- along with the stories of the Prophets that came to reassert those two Laws and the nation to which those laws were given. So, you need to be particular when making your assertions. What aspects do you find contradictory? 😒

If you're a police officer and two persons narrate what happened exactly the same way won't you question them?
Even if both watches what happened they can't be at the same position their views will surely differ that is why the policeman will think they fabricate the story.

1. I did that! 😒
2. I did that! Islamists claim their beliefs map to the Bible. The inventor of Islam literally made this claim several times in his Quran, going as far as to suggest that Islamists who doubt the Quran ask the people who have read the Torah and Injeel before them. 😒

Surat Yunus vs 93 - 104 are not in the Quran? Quran 7 vs 157 is not found in the Quran? Are we really playing this game now? 😒

The Quran mentions the Tawrah and Injeel several times, while it goes on to directly contradict both the Torah and Injeel over and over. It also contains stories that directly contradict the stories contained in the Tanakh and the Psalms.😒

Do you know why I always have to go hard on you? I have seen that you and many Muslim apologists are ignorant of the Bible and its composition.
The Bible is a record of events written by many people with different capabilities of the use of grammar and expertise in description.
Aside the direct Ten Commandments written with the finger of God Himself, other prophecies were inspired. There are this side of history and rewriting by scribes and change of grammar with time and even language with different civilizations. Then reportage of individuals on one issue, even, if they were eyewitnesses can never be the same.

So, when you want to rubbish the Bible, you show abysmal knowledge of the scriptures and are not handling Christian Bible with honesty.
For you to understand the Bible, you will have to read without the spectacle of Islam.
Mohammed himself didn't understand the Bible. He was confused and that is why his message is not a continuation of the rest of the prophets.

Maximumside will be in the best position to teach you being an ex - Muslim who may have held the same views you cherish now.

I see you as an ignorant person trying to form knowledgeable in the Christian faith.

How many Christians have agreed with your views on this platform? None, because your show more of ignorance than knowledge.

Nobody is forcing you to be a Christian. Live your life as you like. And the Bible also said that

If originality of the bible is in doubt..
If truth is mixed with false
If you called it word of God and is not accurate....

If it is how come people using it are still hating, fighting and killing themselves?

What God promised is after we have come to understand His message people believing in Him will no longer learn war anymore {Isaiah 2:2-4} so that version is not doing what God's word promised therefore it's not even a correct translation!🤔

Jesus said by their fruits. Matthew 7:16-18

According to God's word any of the translations that cannot be used to achieve what Isaiah 2:2-4 says is not a working transaction.

Only Jehovah's Witnesses translation is doing the work!

THEY ARE NOT CONTRADICTORY. THE TWO VERSES ARE EXPLAINING THE RELEVANCE AND SYMBOL OF THE JUDAS TO "IAM RIGHTEOUSNESS"(1212) : "I AM THAT I AM, I AM ALL MIGHTY,(1212). JUDAS(330) IS A SON OF GOD. GOD BLESS IT IJN AMEN.

IF ONE IS HUNG, THAT ONE WILL SURELY DIE HANGING AND EVENTUALLY BE REMOVED FOR BURIAL. MAY BE PETER, JAMES OR JOHN REMEMBERED THAT HE SOLD JESUS FOR FUND WHICH HE LEFT BEHIND. THEY DECIDED TO USE THE MONEY TO BUY LAND TO BURY HIM. SO IT IS NOT A CONTRADICTION WORTHY OF MORE THAN HOW IT HAS BEEN REPORTED.
