As A Man, What Has A Woman Bought For You Before? by Rapmoney(op): 8:29am On Sep 10
We live in a part of the world where it seems to be a taboo for a lady to buy something for her man. Many Nigerian girls are raised right from birth with that mentality that giving is a one-sided thing. The popular notion is that men are givers, while women are receivers. What a warped way of thinking!

The first time I showed a friend a pair of Moccasin shoes my girl bought for me, he was shocked literally. He confessed to me that I was lucky. That since he started dating, no woman has ever bought him even 100 Naira MTN recharge card. I laughed because I know this is same thing so many young men are facing out there. Men in this part of the world are seen as 'sole providers'. They are to provide financial support, security, guidance, protection, etc. They should not expect to receive anything in return, and they must never complain.

Each time this issue is raised, some folks would tell you that it depends on the type of women you are relating with. My brother, let me tell you the basic truth. This mentality cuts across ladies from all backgrounds. Not only junction girls aka kparo-kparo. Even those who are in the banks, legal profession, and other corporate entities think likewise. Their 10 million Naira is exclusively theirs, but your lean 50k is for both of you.

The percentage of ladies who can comfortably give their partners tangible stuffs is very small. They exist but the percentage is like a bucket of water from a mighty ocean. As a young man, just pray that you find such women because the majority you see are nothing but hungry vultures.

If you are dating a girl and you are gifting her things, but she has never given you anything after 6 months, leave her. Na kparo-kparo package be that.

As a man, what has a lady bought for you before?

In as much as I derive ecstasy from bashing wayward Nigerian bannies especially the ones who have the genes of a scallywag encrypted in them but the truth is that there are still good ones out there.

If you keep meeting bannies who see buying stuffs for their man as a taboo, just stay away from such type of wayward bannies angry

As a matter of fact,I've met and been with bannies who have bought gifts for me angry

My wife buys me gifts on a regular basis. Although some wires dey touch for her head, but when it comes to giving, she's number one.

She has bought me countless clothes, shoes, clippers, perfumes, belt, watches, boxers, singlets, etc.

She has a bad habit though, she likes to wear my stuff sometimes. It's why e dey tire me to collect things from her.

Both the ones I bought with my own money and the ones she bought for me, Hanty wears them as she pleases. Even if I complain, she wouldn't care. She'll say; "what's mine is also hers". Whatever the fffkk that means.

Secondly, any day we get little quarrel like this, she will fill my ears with tales of how she loves and takes good care of me. Abeg, women too get wahala jare.

But in my dating days though, only a few ladies have bought me stuff. The rest, they are free loaders. They are only there to collect from me. One even said the T0t0 that she's giving me is enough gift. My birthday o, val day o, na knack be the gift. Nothing more.

My first ever set of dumbbells and barbells were bought by a "woman" and this happened many years ago. A part of my heart is specially reserved for her.

Your girlfriend buying something for you is not a big deal. In fact, it’s pretty normal for a girl who wants to win her boyfriend over. 😂 That’s one of the tactics they use to lure you into marriage. Immediately you marry her, your eyes will clear! 😂

First ever media player(Bluetooth speaker) I had back then in the university was gifted to me by a female friend. I normally don't keep female friends, but I broke that rule with her. (Pretty, and smart girl) and the surprising part was, I never asked for anything. She just called that evening, and said I should come to her hostel and booom!, the box..😂 I was shocked. She became the standard for keeping female friends but seems like it's "I have not eaten" kind of girls that are left now in this country.

My then girlfriend, who is now my wife, bought "uncountable things" clothes , foot wears among others for me, while we were dating.

Since we started dating up till now, she has made it her duty, to buy my singlet, shots, shaving sticks, toothbrush.
Every good things I have done in my life, including car, I do keep the money in her account.

For people who always lamenting about women, I will advise you to change your own character and possibly change people you mingle with.

PS5, PS5 game discs (Call Of Duty and Fifa every December), Gaming chair, Home office chair, PSVR2, Coffee Machine, Macbook. One woman like 50

It's reciprocated though, as a natural giver that I am.

Shoes, clothes, food, phone, camera, perfumes. I have shoes and clothes I haven’t worn even though I got them years ago. I can say 3/4 of my entire shoes and perfume collection were bought by women.

Although I don’t like receiving gifts from women. Whenever a woman buys me a gift, she buys me an obligation, I feel like I need to reciprocate the gesture.
